I saw Ace in the Hole and Sweet Smell of Success recently and they were both really refreshing because they portrayed journalists as power-hungry scumbags.

Things that take me out of the movie is the clear girlboss trope, but lately, also it's reverse, the übermensch
I used to point girlboss scenarios that frickd with my gf, and then she started to point out male fantasy scenarios that I now find impossible to not notice
Most egregious trope being the "just some clean water, salt, tubes and a dirty bathroom bullet fix"
When the hero just casually takes a bullet, goes to a mall, buy some shit, patches the wound and next scene he just have a mild limp, two scenes later not even that?
    Completely out
Damn my fricking girlfriend, but also I love being out of that plato's cave, it was ridiculous

Best example is in The Flash TV show Iris acts so betrayed that Berry didn't tell her he was the Flash and treated it like he cheated on her or something. It's really weird how the Palestinian side points at photographers embeded in Hamas units or outright Hamas militants who put on a PRESS flak vest and then go scouting Israeli positions, and cry that they got killed in the conflict, and pretend that proves Israel is deliberately targeting journalists.
They play it up at every rally and riot, so clearly their left-wing audience eats it up and are really concerned about journalists.

Are you fricking serious? All your plan, and the rest of the story was hinging on the fact that some dweeb at the evil organization didn't update to the latest hotfix or patch over the weekend? You were counting on him forgetting to fix a unit test before clocking off for the weekend so his deployment pipelines are fricked? Frick off.
This affects vidya gaems more than movies, but it pisses me off every time. Your protagonists and his crew are allowed to be skilled at hacking, you don't need to throw in a "heh, they didn't update to the latest kernel patch" as if your writing is smart.

Ban women from movie theaters. Make more movies like Hardcore Henry where the protagonist says frick you evil woman and kicks her off the helicopter in the end as a symbolic gesture of reclaiming action movies to be fun romps marketed towards men that just want to see tons of fun wanton violence.

Dunno how its like where you're at, but in here every bar worth a damn has a plethora of taps to choose from. If you just ask for a beer, it'll be countered with "which one". Ranging from different brands to light alcohol versions etc. So might aswell order what you want from the get go.
