Itt we catalog every cartoon episode we can think of that involves a storm. They are always fun episodes. Rainstorm, flood, hurricane, typhoon, tornado, whatever. I'll start with King of the Hill S08E15 involving a flood.

Rainy Day Daydream is a s1 Adventure Time ep where it's raining knives so Finn and Jake make up an adventure in the house. It's a silly and cozy one.

      You mean the taurnado.

The taurnado was actually more threatening than the Nowhere King imo. You knew what was going to happen if you encountered the Nowhere King. The taurnado is like a giant amalgam of centaurs lost.

That episode pisses me off. Hank is treated like a bad guy because the strip mall got washed away instead of the dam bursting, especially when the moron who left his post just to comb his mustache.

The Wild Thornberrys episode where Debbie rescues a baby panda, apparently titled “Black and White and Mom All Over”, had an especially cozy storm scene, imo.

Though while looking up the title, I found out The Wild Thornberrys actually had a frick lot of episodes featuring storms. I guess in an adventure show like that, storms are a very convenient plot device.

What is it about storm episodes that produce such comfort? Is it because they rely entirely on character dynamics, and have no gimmicks to distract the audience?

Maybe it's because the storm is outside the control of the characters.
