I'm a walmart wagie and these annoying homosexuals have a lot of merch. I dread having to stock this shit whenever I have to work toys, and every time I see a parent buy this for their kids I feel like eating lead.

Their videos are largely just them advertising their merch and sometimes it's so bad it's hilarious
Btw these sorts of channels that just make content like this and sell similar merch are awfully common, these remind me of GuavaJuice

The even sell the exact same kinda merch, pop-its, figurines, squishies, slime, this kinda stuff, and they edit their videos in a similar manner albiet these Lankybox guys are more loud bright and extreme...
They even have similar manners of speaking and emoting down to their cadence and how they move their limbs, even subtle subconscious behaviors and motions seem similar it's fricking uncanny to me, like they're made from the same fricking test tubes

Another odd behavior i noticed when youtubers like these is that they often edit their faces in the thumnbails, and not randomly or in a extreme manner, but in very specific ways
Like this guy, Guava Juice, specifically edits his eyes to look bigger in a way that you might not notice is edited from afar until you look closer

if you look at their channel, often edit the colors to be more saturated, and sure you might say, that's just to make the thumbnails pop, but they actually seem to (also) do it specifically on their hair and eyes
Purple hair guy's main recognizable aspect is, well, his purple hair, that's what his plushie is known for, however blonde guy seems less willing to change his appearance for the views and also his face is generally less marketable so they edit him to make his hair look more blonde and his eyes pop as being super bright crystal blue, as you can see in pic rel what they edit him to look like, vs what he actually looks like, vs his marketable plushie

Semi related but I wonder if watching content like this makes kids struggle with understanding human faces or facial expressions, or communicate/speak/emote in odd ways
During Covid panic we saw kids who were just growing up and beginning to socialize at that time struggle to learn to speak or recognize emotions, and some kids of extreme maskers who even masked in the house downright developed a fear of faces in some cases... Imagine what being raised on stuff like this during your formative years will do to ya

One of the stories being told these days (that could easily be bullshit, but is funny regardless) is that some kids now say "don't forget to like, comment and subscribe" because they think it's a synonym for "goodbye".

a kid can perfectly understand "alright little jimmy we're going into a hospital, put on a mask so you don't catch someone's sneeze germs" which rationalizes it in their head, but so much of this became a cultural meme YEAH MASKS ARE COOL N HIP WEAR MASKS JUST CAUSE YOU GOTTA DON'T ASK WHY MASKS MASKS MASKS and they probably just internalized it as a part of life with how constant and memetic it was in their everyday

worship of anything from brands to the medical industry is not an uncommon thing in developed countries
it's in humanity's nature to worship, they worship the natural world, or a god, or a concept, and in lieu of that they worship objects and leaders and corporations/complexes and ideas they don't entirely understand like "da science"
it's a very normal thing as bad as it is, and trying to enlighten people by pushing them away from organized religion didn't do shit to fix it because it's not that religion is any 'dumber' or a worship and science is somehow 'smarter' because these people still worship it in the exact same manner, they still believe in aspects of magical thinking like rituals that they don't understand and charms they believe will 'just work' without researching into why, except instead of spiritual leaders and prayer and icons, it's now doctors and treatments and meds

there's definitely an almost primal fear in most people of conspiracy theorism, they can't bring themselves to listen even if intent on not believing, maybe it's the fear of having what you know questioned, or maybe it's just like a kid that'd been hit with a belt one too many times being trained to panic when the living room vase falls and breaks, even if he really didn't do it this time, the situation just brings up bad associations in his mind. likewise the prospect of conspiracy theorism brings up association of social ostracization, anything less than complete denial to even hear it out can be perceived as "approving" and "supporting" of it
hell i even like listening to theories that aren't about the real world, cartoon theories too are fun as hell, like pic rel, it's one of my favorite cartoon related videos i come back to again and again despite not believing the theory- i even think the creator doesn't believe it but i love video makers who can suspend their own disbelief and act like they do- i hate opening a video about a theory and clearly hearing it in the presenter's voice that he thinks what he's saying is stupid, trying so hard for that "haha i-i don't believe in it i'm n-not crazy" approval, that he can't even bring himself to just enjoy it, like he's mocking the believers from the side, making THEM the focus of his videos, rather than the theory itself

anyway that's enough rambling let's bring it back to cartoons

i was known for embedding the shit out of the dog bully from zoophobia.

i also have my own characters, if that's cool.

idk what i'm even looking at i'll be real wit you

to be fair lotsa people are crapping out shit like this
remember Troom Troom? they were Ukranian but they're one of the better known kiddie slop channels
this isn't a "whatabout" moment, fricking all of this sucks, 'Da Indians' is just a quick term people use to refer to it as because we mainly see Indians do it

speaking of Troom Troom, i recall their weird obsession with sneaking food into places where food doesn't belong, constantly talking about eating and the neurotic manner hey showed eating in, and how they talked about it as something to do when board in public places where you're supposed to be engaging with something else
i wonder how many kids got fricked up food problems because of this or tried these odd "hacks"

What is it with ex-soviet countries and doing this? India and Korea make sense, they're countries that didn't have tech or internet access for the longest time and a stunted cultural development, and then suddenly BAM speedran that shit, so you get people with access to tech and the info on how to use it but none of the cultural know-how or shame in doing this
But soviets? They always had the opposite, steady technological development but a culture that encourages normative behavior that doesn't stand out or embarrass you and yours

Does other Cinemaphile media have anything akin to fluffy abuse? I know it happens in some niche anime circles with stuff like 2hou, but I started wondering, has any other cartoon ever gotten to that point? Like is there a collective of people who wanna abuse, idk, sentient Spongebobs or something?

at it's worst these people can be worse than downright abusers, or it can be mild as hell tier stuff, i find fujos are usually into that sorta thing

Some people found a youtube channel with generic kids content on it, but noticed the videos would flash parts of a passcode in intervals. It turns out these passcodes unlocked private pastebins or something that would direct you to downloading bestiality and child porn. Then it turns out, there's multiple of these channels doing the same thing and being sponsored by Youtube. It's annoying that this kind of stuff is doomed to be niche since journalists never talk about it and normies will never know it's happening.

remember that trend of "soijak videos for babies" that was around a while back? people thought it was crazy at first until they realized it's made by sharty teens, which i guess made them think that's ok, since that means it's not some pajeets making this for actual ipad kiddies but rather """adults""" we all know the average sharty user is underage but that's besides the point making them as jokes

what most people now don't know is that the sharty apparently has these campaigns of subverting children and ruining their brains early and they do get a sort of pride in having these videos shown to kids
a while back one of them came here and posted a pic they took of some young children they know looking at the tv watching that stuff

also, note the little symbol at the top left of the 1st video... that's the "no-autoplay" sign that pops up when videos are made for kids, and if you click on it you'll see this stuff IS on Youtube Kids
so it hardly matters what the intent is, the end result is that this IS ending up on ipad kiddies' playlists alongside their paw patrols and peppa pigs and whatnot...

ok so out of curiosity i looked up the video title in your pic rel
doing so brings up a buncha foreign videos almost all of them have these words in the title and i can't tell what language it is, translate brings back nothing so it might be written phonetically
the thumbnails are usually of what looks like vidya graphics or otherwise something that'd imply video gameplay, and there's almost always weird candid looking pics of people edited in, all kinda look like they're taken with a phone camera or from the side, or otherwise in compromising positions? hard to tell what's going on but it certainly seems to be "advertising" those images, like "this content inside"

the videos themselves (least ones i checked) feature nothing downright graphic or illegal onscreen, just like showed, it's just gameplay video or something, aside from the codes and such they advertise

If I ran a massive site like Youtube or Facebook or Twitter, I'd be watching sites like KF like a hawk. Users do the curating for you, take action based on that.

Mix of disgust, shock and a bit of dread, it's surreal to see something like this slip under YT, especially nowadays.

When AI gets powerful enough, nothing will be out of sight of the overlords. Nothing. The right machine could comb through every comment ever made on this website in a day. It is only a matter of time before youtube is moderated this way, then these content farms will be extinct. Unfortunately the youtube of old probably will be too.

              at all
it's an age where they should absolutely not be regularly viewing anything on a screen yet, not cartoons, not youtube videos, and certainly not being plugged into mommy's iphone 8 hours a day
their brain needs a chance to develop clean first, before they're introduced to screens

I totally get what he means about it sounding like chinese whispers about elsagate, nobody posted the channel in question so he had no context. It's a specific branch of elsagate I guess.

ok so out of curiosity i looked up the video title in your pic rel
doing so brings up a buncha foreign videos almost all of them have these words in the title and i can't tell what language it is, translate brings back nothing so it might be written phonetically
the thumbnails are usually of what looks like vidya graphics or otherwise something that'd imply video gameplay, and there's almost always weird candid looking pics of people edited in, all kinda look like they're taken with a phone camera or from the side, or otherwise in compromising positions? hard to tell what's going on but it certainly seems to be "advertising" those images, like "this content inside"

the videos themselves (least ones i checked) feature nothing downright graphic or illegal onscreen, just like showed, it's just gameplay video or something, aside from the codes and such they advertise

            classic outsider art
tho the old stuff feels more "outsider" than the new stuff, sure in the technical sense outsider art means something not affiliated with the industry or general art groups or known masters, so anything independent is "outsider art"
but in the modern day having access to art knowladge is so much easier and so many people are inspired by or mimic the industry, that outsider art moreso refers to people from outside of society as a whole or who's art itself is an outsider in our culture
and Chris' old stuff was so independent from any kinda traditional thought or commonly accepted concepts, whereas his new stuff is a lot more inspired by normal comic art

And there was guy who erased his Livejournal, but he used to go to strip shows and play hard to get. He'd go on and on about how much he hated piercing, tattoos and smoking, and he'd do his nana and stop talking to a stripper if she got a tattoo.

the only thing good about that place is its minecraft server, you can put images of anything on item frames, so the whole place is decorated with basedjaks, signs, and maps. They have their own underground railway system too. It's like a city over there.

whenever sharty users say they're soooo pro free speech and you can post anythaaaang on their communities, they usually just mean basedjaks, gore and maybe the occasional offensive meme. but not something that offends them, of course. Kogasatopia is a 2hou TF2 server ran by Sharty users that says it's all keeewl and free for all maaang we're not like those gays on Uncletopia or whatever that'll ban you for being homophobic... But then they'll ban you for not being homophobic ENOUGH...

the root problem is that a single tech monopoly controls the world's most accessible supply of video content, and tech monopolies by their very nature are mandated to solicit as much user-generated content as possible, with as little human curation as possible, with the goal of soaking up as much human attention as possible.

you know how everyone's shitting themselves over AI because what if someone makes a paper clip collecting AI that ends up converting the entire mass of the earth into paper clips? that idea didn't come out of thin air. publicly traded companies in the US will gladly convert the entire mass of the earth into quarterly earnings if given the chance. any CEO that refuses to destroy the earth will be fired by shareholders and replaced with one who will. any CEO that actually solves elsagate-type problems will pretty much only be allowed to do so if it staves off getting the company broken up in an antitrust case.

      honestly you're not even wrong
but i don't think this is the exclusive reason why so much dogshit content gets made, because now it's no longer corporations, now it's individuals
making something is no longer driven by passion and even if what you make is driven by nothing but profit it still needs to be good in people's eyes, but now all that's requires is slop that catches people's attention because human beings have become stupid, human consciousness have been worn thing by many factors and intellect and awarness went with it
it also doesn't help that people are now attempting to operate as brands more and more, that guy that makes youtube videos is not "some guy" in contrast to a corporation making their media. he is his own brand, everyone is a brand, everything is a brand, and don't even get me STARTED on the psychological and identity issues this causes in people, especially kids
it's all connected by a big web of frick, both accidental and intentional and even malicious, both natural and manmade, physical and spiritual, and i'm worried there's no going back save for nuking the planet and letting the first generation to rise from the wasteland start over

Decent theory but even then, there must be 'tism involved because these videos are popular as hell. The most prominent guy doing this has 83 million views on his most popular video and even a lot of his top performing vids don't go under 10 million until you start scrolling down. It must be a really specific type of autism that you need to have, and a lot of people must have it.
If these videos are monetized for whatever reason, it's definitely safe to assume he's making some ok pocket money off of them.

The worst kind of channels hands down are family vlogs. Even the ones that aren't straight up torturing their children are still careless about their children's privacy and safety just for clicks.

I don't know what's worse, videos that film real kids, or videos directed at kids rotting their brains, both are pretty awful and negatively impact these children, but yeah family vloggers are pretty bad. Even the ones that don't downright hurt their kids still use them for views and the kids usually start hating it by the time they're in school, imagine every interaction being filmed and every situation in your life being turned into a 'challenge' or something, imagine the things it does to these kids mentally.

This makes me wonder what these kids will be like in the future. I'd love to see the generation of kids raised on Youtube stars and see how, and if, it fricked them up. Or hell, even just the generation of iPad babies, I imagine those kids brains are gonna be fried right up.

I don't have the exact numbers but I'm very much willing to bet that the userbase for Youtube has multiplied by at least 100 - not even counting the endless sea of bots/content farms/etc - since this video was uploaded. It's harder to stand out in a crowd of 1000 than it is in a crowd of 10.
There's also the fact that getting millions of subscribers means absolute jack shit for how interesting your videos actually are. One of the most popular youtubers at the moment is just some guy who rants at the camera about "HUGE FRICKING XYZ DRAMA" for 2 minutes in a monotone voice, then pastes a barely edited clip from his streams to pad out the next 10 minutes.
He's very popular, and that's fine - but you're probably not going to be hearing about him in the news because there is literally nothing interesting happening here, compared to cyriak's absurd videos.

      >that patreon account was marked as NSFW, only featured pictures of children and did not get nuked after multiple reports
I find it genuinely really bizarre how widespread the online softcore CP issue is but nobody in "normal" circles ever talks about it. Family vloggers get mainstream attention occasionally whenever people like Ruby Franke or DaddyOFive get in trouble, but I never hear a thing about the hordes of """gymnastics accounts""" featuring little girls doing sexual poses that are all over the fricking place. They say they're managed by parents which really only makes it worse.
      >This makes me wonder what these kids will be like in the future.
Hopefully they come back to their senses as they age and waste no time pulling the plug on their parents for subjecting them to this demented shit. Even the ones that aren't just clearly exploiting their children are horrible, imagine growing up with the knowledge that literally anyone with an internet connection could be watching you. Probably cool when you're a kid but I assume that feeling will slowly turn into horror as you get older and wiser. I feel the same way whenever I see those "funniest home videos" TV shows and they still show ancient clips from the pre-internet era. The children in those videos are in their 40s/50s now, and their shit is STILL being shown and viewed by millions of people for a quick laugh.
Imagine that, but in the information superhighway on meth that is modern social media, and you've got the nightmare scenario known as family vlogging.
Apologies for the mostly unprompted rant but this shit needs to end.

Same. I looked at all sorts of weird shit out of morbid curiosity, but I think in the end I came out pretty unscathed. All my kinks are either something I can trace back to somethin' in my childhood, or are linked to one of those other things(I'm a monsterfricker, it was inevitable I'd end up with a taste for tentacles, tongues and teeth). Like I said. I have been into it for as long as I can remember, and I was likely born this way. I remember being 2 years old playing "doctor" with my plushies, I remember being 3 and rereading the same page in a book where it mentions a character getting sick. And even back then I can vividly recall it making me "feel funny." I'm usually pretty good at figuring out the reasoning behind weird fetishes, but I'm completely stumped in regards to mine.

money is the only god and attaining it is the ultimate objective. whatever moral issues should serve to that objective; hence, if they aren't a burden to attain money, they can be ignored.

Kiwifarms is demonized almost as badly as Cinemaphile was back in the "who is this Cinemaphile?" days for being a massive repository of receipts for every form of sickfrickery you can imagine, documenting nobodies to e-celebs to actual celebrities to CEOs. People say it's the doxing and hate speech, but if someone made the same website without the doxing or slur usage, the campaigners would still want it taken down regardless. I actually dare any tech literate to try it and see what happens.

I don't really know the full situation or anyone involved but it truly truly TRULY cannot be understated how terrible the average person is at erasing their online trails (the visible ones, anyway) and hiding their powerlevel. Getting caught this easily on an anonymous website by one guy (who doesn't even really care but looked into it for 15 minutes) gives incompetence a new meaning.

I think he meant how Null was sure Mumkey was going to kill himself and he didn't. Mumkey is still making content and in a better situation than before. That's because Null thinks antidepresants are a psyop to make people kill themselves and not soemthing that reacts different to people's body chemestry in a case by case basis. It worked with Mumkey fine, and thankfully he's doing more videos.

the issue with rules like that is that they can't reliably be enforced, and they shouldn't be, because that'd be a huge encroach on people's privacy, it can only be observed and really obvious cases of admission to being underage punished
what would be better if there was a clear law against making media directly specifically at children under the age of 13 on social media, kids that old shouldn't be on there anyway, and of course the law against feeding them targeted content or advertising to them is already in play in born america and some european countries but it's hardly enforced

the issue is cultural here, kids are already introduced to the web en masse, it used to be difficult to get online which is why the few kids that were on there back inna day had to at least be a little bit mature, and the general culture made it clear that the internet was NOT for them
now every kid has easy access to the web at all times in every location, and the web invites them meaning there's no shame or urge to lurk moar and learn the culture or stay out
and once something becomes kiddified, all us adults suffer

I agree it should be up to the parents to not let them browse this stuff in the first place.

Like how "Life or Death for Berryboy" was just some weird art some deviantart rando made which nobody remembers anymore, but somehow, probably due to whatever brain virus drives so.y.jakposters, it got turned into a meme of the bearded-bespecticled-ugly-men-who-enjoy-bean-based-food-replacements variety

oh i see, man that's sad
it's always depressing to see modern people find something old and meme on it whether it's beautiful art or genuinely something weird and laughable they still can't contain themselves
like if you look at Smurf In Hand's forum posts which are still up btw since Blue Buddies is still online, godspeed those people are still on there doing their thing, you'll reach the end of his thread and see a pause in the years, followed by very clearly modern people who discovered the thread posting modern memes and shit

Something I haven't seen anyone talk about but has been pissing me off lately is how youtube now recommends you videos from tiny unknown channels, I know the point is so they can say "Look, creators don't have to appeal to the algorithm! We're giving everyone a chance!" but 99% of the sub-100 view reccomendations I get are autistic channels reposting cartoon clips or arguing with each other over Thomas the Tank Engine drama. Not actual content worth watching.

      Anonymous

So what, you want them to vet every small channel they recommend and 'approve' of? That'd just be loads of slop and probably 2nd/3d/4th/5th channels of already big youtubers
I'd take obscure autismo shit over that anyday, it's one of the rare decent ideas they had in years

Not to mention over the past few months, maybe its been a bit over a year at this point, youtube search has been unusable, you can't even search something and scroll down 6 results without the "others also watched" and the "for you" stuff messing it up, right now I use an extension called Youtube Search Fixer, but it amazes me it's been shit for so long. My guess is that Youtube Shorts fricked up their black box search algorithm and their struggling to fix it.

Stuff that's, at the bare minimum, actually related to the videos I watch?? Say I watch a lot of videos about soccer, what they should be giving me is videos about soccer, but instead I'd be getting GoAnimate videos that have nothing to do with soccer.

        Anonymous

Anon, they're new channels, Youtube doesn't really know what they're about because its' algorithm is moronic, it only recognizes what they sooorta vaguely relate to after they're watched enough alongside other things of the same genre and Youtube can make a connection

Yeah a proper tagging system would be nice tho, like "this video is TAGGED as soccer" but Youtube doesn't trust it's users to do anything

while statements like these might not be literal, Blackrock and other social score companies might not be literally funding indie creators the same way they fund and affect large corporate media.... they do, in a way, affect what gets made, since they control the platforms that media is on, or the kind of media that is currently popular or profitable, meaning indie creators are incentivised to study the formula and still make stuff that appeals to them
So in a way yes, we've gotten to the point where even stuff that doesn't get an ESG score still works for that score like good good boys and girls

It's like how every moron in the world was taught the concept of a logical fallacy, but they don't use them to improve their arguments, they just use them as winning conditions for their equally moronic arguments they keep on having

Saying "now isn't the time or place for that" makes them bluescreen, every issue makes up 100% of their life at all times so they can't imagine not airing it out everywhere they go

          [...]
          [...]
The influx of people who come here have no identity other than what the internet has given them. The constant flow of information and stimulation is frying their brains and they just become basically like single cell organisms that can only repeat the same mannerisms ad infinitum. There is no healthy interaction on the internet anymore because everyone is just so full of hate and vitriol now, I guess it's "cool" to just be a contrarian and hate everything,

You people get it. I wish that there was the same effort into squashing obvious outragebait and culturewar baiting as there is for enforcing GR15.

It's odd how whenever you speak up about this in a meta thread, so many people agree

What a fricking dumpster fire. Nothing will be done about it too.

Why am I not surprised Cinemaphilemblr is mad sharty exposed a pedo ring? Probably upset an easy source of CP has been taken down, and for the next week they’ll have to stick of drawn CP instead of the real deal

Who's mad about that? This is the most anti-pedo thread I've seen in a long time on this cesspool.

i think we just found out what "brain scurvy" looks like

      >a kid can perfectly understand "alright little jimmy we're going into a hospital, put on a mask so you don't catch someone's sneeze germs" which rationalizes it in their head, but so much of this became a cultural meme YEAH MASKS ARE COOL N HIP WEAR MASKS JUST CAUSE YOU GOTTA DON'T ASK WHY MASKS MASKS MASKS and they probably just internalized it as a part of life with how constant and memetic it was in their everyday
The problem is that the former doesn't work on people who worship anti-intellectualism and doing the opposite of whatever they're told (not to say that the latter would work on them either, mind)

      >people who worship anti-intellectualism

What makes you think they even care about you? Kiwis like their entertainment first and foremost, you gotta be worth the effort. Literally the only thing ITT they'd remotely care enough to notice is the bait-spamming baby molester who narrowly escaped a dox because the moronic armchair detective was too concerned about looking like he supported cancel culture. The rest of us are just complaining about a variety of modern day internet problems or posting niche funnies. We're safe.

All this talk of kiwifarms and pedophile fetishization reminds me of some mild drama I witnessed on /trash/ a while ago, I didn't fully understand what the hell was happening but I think it was something to do with a Cinemaphile user having some pretty degenerate cartoon pedo snuff porn linked to their normal account because of their cyber footprint?

Nobody cares about (You). Cover your tracks in your posts and you'll be okay. Back in the day when I was little and on deviantart I was afraid of the ED boogeyman, but as I got older I realized I was as generic as every other bad artist on there, and because I was careful about avoiding drama or making a fool of myself it made me a boring target.

Why are TF2 fans like this? It's always fricking Medic with the women too, or Pyro with the men. What makes those two such a magnet for freaks of their respective gender?

        Anonymous

Medic is just hot, and chicks dig crazy and sassy
He's also one of the few mercs that has a cooperative relationship with another one so clearly they must be gay shipped but that's just a bonus (there's engineer but women don't care for short and fat country men, or for Pyro in general)

Pyro is usually the fact that you can imagine it as anything including a woman, and that might be your first go-to if you're not into dudes, very rarely do people love the Pyro for what it really is because canon Pyro is cute and sexy

          Anonymous

ive noticed that the rare few times people like canon pyro without changing or unmasking him, its still men
i think the reason is thay the pyro has a very feminine body shape and demeanor, and men also prefer a more joyous and silly kinda uncontrolled "crazy" whereas women prefer the more strong and domineering kind that characters like Medic evoke
but thats just a game theory

kek i wanna know the context here
i know "probably boogleg chinese dollar store trash" is the answer... but why? usually this is a result of them compiling a buncha images of things they vaguely recognize as being childrens media

        >use the first image you see on google images
        >don't realize phineas isn't in the cartoon because you aren't allowed to watch cartoons
