Listen they really needed tech support so they grabbed a genius and screamed mutant until everyone believed it.

    He does machines.

It's unironically this. His power is comic-book levels of "does machines" that just makes gadgets and super science devices exist for narrative convenience.

Cheat code for building stuff. Doesn't even know how it works but he can potentially build it. Still inferior to the actual super geniuses.

    It's kinda like spontaneous inspiration

He can design and create inventions for specific purposes.
But he has no idea how they actually function. He just so happens to be a genius who can reverse engineer his own shit

    It's low key magic

      Can't Beast build machines

        Anonymous

yeah and Beast often fills that role on the team because he's a classic team member + has a fun verbose personality + strong connections to the Superhero community from his time with the Avengers/Defenders/SWORD/etc + adds a unique visual since Blue Furry ape man is more fun for artists to draw in spread pages

But Forge is a decent backup if Beast is busy in another book

        Anonymous

Kinda, but he's not got the deus ex machina and leeway to get away with much in the same way as Forge.
Beast is a basic b***h magical polymath genius who does stuff. They all exist and all have specialties.
Forge has magic power that lets you build god like super weapons and deus ex machina

can he casually build a machine that kill beyonders like Reed Richards and Dr Doom did?

            Anonymous

            That's "MUH MAGIC MIND" powers.
He doesn't have that kind of muh smurt = magic powers thing.
Nor can any writer in Marvel get away with having any character that isn't a marquee do anything like that casually.

But he can probably create something that neutralizes the ultron forever or punches a hole through dimensions.

He built the Captain Krakoa suit that Cyclops and Stevil used

Also he made a suit made out of a clone of Caliban with Mystique and Tempo's powers so he could infiltrate the Vault. It was sentient like Caliban and an abomination against nature

Anon, Forge can build armor more broken and advanced then Tony Stark could ever hope too.
Problem is that neither forge nor most other people could figure out how the damned thing works afterwords.
Even Richards has some of Forge's stuff locked in a vault for him to tinker with and figure out.

He can do advanced like high tier stuff from the future, or he can do holy shit what the frick is this oh my fricking god get reed richards dr.doom and moon girl on the phone this shit is ridiculous and we're in fricking trouble.

Are you stupid? The OP is clearly talking about how his powers and status as mutants are arbitrary stupid, it's not something a moron couldn't understand, it's something neither the writers know

Reed Richards created universes on his lab, then he created a machine to kill an omniversal omnipotent being
Thanos made 3 inventions to make him omnipotent and even vored TOAA
Dr Doom used machines to depower Odin, Galactus and Beyonders after the just stomped eternity and living tribunal at once
Kronos used a machine to turn into an universal cosmic being
Tony Stark managed to reverse engineer celestial tech and create an armor powerful enough to kill cosmic villains

Forge powers are nowhere near several marvel scientists

Basically, he can build complex stuff via intuition instead of knowledge.
