Ive seen Rings of Power Season 2

I think it will go a long way towards fixing issues from season 1. Galadriel looks really really bad for the evil she has set back upon on the world. The two seasons should be watched continuously and you should feel like you have only seen half the story so far, because you have.

Everyone. Sauron returns to Celibrimbor as Annatar and apologozes for his deception and claims he is an emissary of the Valar. He feeds Celibrimbor’s ego and points to the healed tree of Lindon and says “You have not returned to Valinor, surely you love this Middle Earth as much as I. Surely you will help me heal it.” He warns Celibrimbor the other elves will be selfish, and Celibrimbor tells Sauron Galadriel did say the power should be for the elves only. They agree the work should be a secret but when Sauron makes the one ring and the three rings become corrupt and are taken off Gil Galad says something to the effect of “at least his evil is kept here” and Celibrimbor confesses there are more rings across middle earth which leads to Galadriel confessing Halbrand was Sauron and she knew.

holy based, altho I would rather the blessed ending where sauron marries galadriel and reserves shelob as a concubine. him on a black throne in spiky armor with galadriel sitting on his lap and shelob at his feet hugging his leg would be so fricking hot.

          FuckNameFags

There’s a bit of trickery in the trailer. At the end when Annatar is surrounded by elf guards and the ring is deities off his finger, he opens his hands and their necks all snap. In the trailer he opens his hands and there’s an explosion that freezes over the land surrounding a tower that you may recognize from the pilot. This scene is actually Adar destroying Sauron’s old physical form (one thing I don’t like is that it’s getting ridiculous how many times this dude has been cast from physical form, we still have the flood of Numenor to go lol)
The black goo is him taking the form of Halbrand. It’s why Adar does not recognize him at first.

    i just watched season 1
without fear of sounding like a shill i must say - its good. And i didn't go to some youtuber 1.30 hour review to craft this opinion for me.
Its good. There is style, clear distinction between locations, chemistry between Eldrond and Durin, even brown dwarf woman is good. Fug, i remember when it first came out i joined the mob and posted the negative score, because i fell for the low hanging fruit - Black folk, and i just hated it because of that, and because /tv said its bad and was posting memes, so to be cool, i played along and even believed that it was bad.
But now i actually watched season 1 and its good. Someday maybe people will make a better tv-series about Middle Earth, but for now, i accept that it exists, and maybe some day we will have dozens of movie adaptations. It wouldn't diminish anything from original Tolkien work, and i don't think we should treat it as a bible, where any deviation is a sin. Its just art and craft of movie making. i really saw those billions on screen when i watched it.

The release pacing was the biggest problem. It stung to watch harfoot scenes when it was coming out weekly. When you can watch it all at once those scenes don't feel as bad in terms of wasting time. If they had dropped the entire season at once it would have been more enjoyable to watch.

Well, i just pirate it right now, year after release. Maybe i will also wait for season 2 to be fully released.
i don't even want to participate in this culture war other anon is speaking of above, because i am not from United States and i have no reason to pick sides in their artificial and puppetered strifes. Nta but I think its like comparing apples and oranges. LOTR is much more about a handful of characters and ROP is more about a handful of cultures. The scale of the adventures makes comparing them 1:1 pretty difficult. Although I like the overall more serious tone of ROP to LOTR.

          Anonymous

I really enjoyed the scale of RoP. Oceans, forests, mines, mountains, hills, valleys, giant cities by the sea, small villages. Lot's of different comfy settings.

            Anonymous

Yeah its kino. I also like how we get to see the different cultures with more granularity. You get dining scenes with everything from the highest nobles to the most downtrodden peasants. I hope they will do some more with the fantastic creatures like the ents though. Not enough to make it too silly but enough to flesh out the way the 2nd age was more magical than the 3rd. The elves sailing into Valinor was cool no matter what anyone says.
