At this point Superman fans are so desperate for any Superman movie that isn't awful that they'll settle for disgusting pig slop because at least it's not shit. Though I doubt the general audience will come see a Superman movie after the decade plus of disappointment from the DC brand.

The general audience won't come out for a Superman movie because they don't care about Superman. It has nothing to do with the decade plus of disappointment from the DC brand.

literal cuck superman that spent an hour to have him catch a fricking plane when the matrix was supermaning all over the fricking place by this point is moronic and a horrible concept. it failed because it was doing the shit modern movies are doing right now way back then and people wouldnt put up with it. only difference today is superman would be cuked by some nog.

One of, if not the best, Batgod movie ever made failed to make a billion dollars. I guess Gunn is actually smart for doing some random z-listers first to try and build up good will and let people get the word out that the Gunnverse is actually good, before making a movie that *should* be a massive hit.

The problem with that is that back then Trump was generally viewed in a more uncontroversial and positive light because he was just a celebrity rich man. Trump-Luthor now would just be weird, like why would someone who doesn't like Trump use him as the model for a character who's supposed to be so smart he can challenge a god? Yes, that is also my post. I'm not sure what you think is contradictory here. Trump in the past was a bad guy who wasn't so bad he couldn't show up in regular programming, including children's television. If he shows up now it basically forces the situation to be political and specifically about him. A Trump muppet wasn't about Trump's politics, it was just a famous butthole landlord people knew from TV that served as a bit of a joke for the parents.
