The original was an interesting premise with him being a washed up assassin who finally connected with a thing (some gay dog) and having it killed causing him to snap

I loved 1 and 2 but the third one was fricking stupid already. This supposed hardboiled veteran assassin believes absolutely everything scoundrels tell him without question and bumbles into easily avoidable trouble just to keep the gunfire going. The choreography is still nice, but really, it's not funny anymore
I also like 2. I feel like we're in the minority opinion though.
3 really sucks, aside from the opening scene until end of the knife-throwing fight.

Im hyped but its getting old fast. 1 was awesome because it felt real, he was a total badass but he wasnt doing anything crazy, just being a cold calculated killer. Everyone points to the silencer shoot out in 2, but 3 is the real jump the shark moment with him fighting an entire team of iron mans or whatever and needing to shoot them in the eyes, like wtf, going from the club to fighting knights in armor is so weird and now im watching a superhero movie.

in part 1 it was the end of the club shootout where he went from formerly efficient killing to fancy wrestling stuff it dragged the whole scene down
compare it to Collaterals club shootout scene which is infinitely more kinetic despite having less violence
JW2 had that utterly bonkers scene where they shoot at each other with supressors in the subway station while walking god that was dumb
JW3 I don't remember much about that movie tbh it's all just derivative of the other two movies. Halle Berry is always a plus
JW4 Trailer already shows you they have a swordfight while shooting at each other point blank, that's already equilibrium level

Her character was insufferable in that movie, she did exactly the same as Wick and saw his POV and still acted like a gigantic c**t towards him. That part of her giving the water to the dogs and spitting the water back in the bottle was cringe as frick (Yeah I know ppl are gonna go that drinking water spit by hale Berry is a blessing but what I mean was her intention in there). That scene made me wish her character had a group waiting for her just like that b***h that broke the rules in JW1.

yeah it never makes sense why there are so many assassins. We never see who actually even hire all these goons. Where's the fricking demand and revenue stream to support all that underground economy? Even the strongest criminals we see in the series only hire two assassins to take down his toughest target. There's not enough hirers to support assassin population the size of New Jersey.

3 was fricking horrible. He loses half the fights and they let him win anyway. Very visible plot armor. 2 had already fricked up the supposed legend around Wick by making every assassin behave arrogantly and act like he's a nobody.
4 is guaranteed trash, but maybe the fights won't be filmed in such a way as to highlight how old and slow Keanu is.
