I never got into The Wire. I downloaded the first episode but there were so many blacks in the first couple of minutes that i just couldn't go on. Not for me i guess

if you're just looking to kill time there's always law and order and its umpteen seasons and spinoffs
I need something to connect with me like this show did, going back and re-watching all those episodes as a 30 something year old adult just gives me so much more clarity on the characters and what their feeling.
Might give boardwalk empire another watch, or maybe jump back into the wire as it's been a 5+ years since i've seen it last.
the only thing that comes close is The Wire, and since you already seen that i dunno. I seen Sopranos more than 10 times no joke, and the only other show that is as comfy and has that cut throat vibe that I can recommend you is Succession.
Also Rome, Billions, its the only thing that comes "close". I also seen Wire like 5 times.

Why are you Sopranosgays like this, it's a good show but jesus christ you act like this is some masterpiece, it was so strongly carried by Gandolfini that you forgot the rest of it is often medicore as frick. Sopranos has probably the most midwit fanbase with superiority complex alongside with Better Call Saul.
