Stiller was originally an actor (mainly) and other than the role of Zoolander or maybe that guy from There's something about Mary, he's been mediocre TOPS in anything else. Don't bring up that normiecore shitfest, that is Tropic Thunder. Other somewhat memorable role he was alright in was Greenberg as far as I (subjectivly) remember. Walter Mitty...acting? Meh. Directing? Now that's why Im appologizing for the misunderstanding.

My only "plot hole" gripe is the black guy being 100% confident he would be able to hit both switches simultaneously without ever seeing them, even after being told they were on opposite sides of the room. Then voila, they just happen to be just close enough to each another that he's barely able to hit both by stretching his arms, defeating the whole purpose of having them on opposite sides of the room as a safety protocol. But I can forgive it because it was basically just a gimmick to create urgency for the following scenes
I'd argue that's more of a plot convenience rather than a hole. The plot hole is surely the Overtime contingency or whatever.

I have faith that season 2 will be good. Unlike Westworld they didn't blow their whole load in the first season and made sure they set up enough story material to carry another one.
The show builds like the liberal movement. One after another concessions are made to logic and allowing the show to keep going but by the end it is incomprehensible. To discuss shows, you have to be able to imagine the world and the lack of coherence removes any ability to do anything but take what they feed you next.
It was perfectly understandable throughout. You should work on improving your attention span.
