He didn't survive, he died and projected his consciousness into a clone body he had prepared in his lair on Exegol

the consciousness transfer + Sheev's overwhelming power in the darkside makes the clone body unstable. It's an unnatural, evil thing that Sheev did, he's a barely functioning zombie desperately clinging onto un-life

fell down the chute, was siphoned into an exhaust tube, tube led to waste sorting, waste sorting had a door, door led to escape pod, escape pod jettisoned well before the explosion

I haven’t watched any nuwars but I feel like I could have written a better fricking movie
      >establishing shot on indistrial planet
      >close up of some huge machine arms working metal and throwing up a ton of sparks
      >dirty waifs running around working on little electronics and machines
      >show shot of guards walking around holding guns
      >officer walks up to some egineer looking guy
      >”will it be ready in time?”
      >”yes sir construction is moving along as scheduled”
      >”good…this new fleet will be the terror of the new order”
      >*bwaaaaaaaa*
Would take up only 2 minutes of movie time

      >even a handful of destroyers was enough to put forth the idea that the empire was a force to fear
      >this was fine for eight movies
      >somehow a whole planet of people is hijacked for a couple decades to build more star destroyers than the republic and empire combined could produce
      >simultaneously the most involved production in galaxy history but discreet enough nobody noticed

The nuVader comics revealed the Final Order fleet was Sheev's ultimate goal from the very begining and got started on it pretty much from second one of the Empire's existence. The Empire/Death Stars were meant to hold things together until he could deploy his fleet and steamroll the galaxy into submission en masse (pretty much a remix of pic related's plan from the KOTOR era). As to how he managed to do it without anyone noticing, Exegol was in the half of the galaxy that's quite literally unexplored and devoid of pretty much any major powers, mostly due to the near suicidal task that is plotting new hyperlanes for ships to follow. Palpatine had half a galaxy as his workshop for decades on end

If this was the plan why did the empire end? Why Operation Cinder and not a program that uses the same droids to instruct them to keep fighting and ensure them that everything is alright?

Palpatine didn't survive, he exploded in the reactor before the death star did. The real question is how a gigantic chunk of the death star survived that and drifted to some random ocean planet, then survived re-entry and uncontrolled impact intact, then continued to exist just fine and not degrade after decades in a saltwater environment

He is a "perpetual". It's like an immortal but not because they have a infinite lifespan, they are a fixed point is space-time. So even if their entire body is destroyed they are a fixed point in the universe so they just get a new body somewhere else because the afterlife CAN'T take them.

did they ever explain why an ancient sith dagger was designed to specifically line up to the recent crash of a death star on a very specific cliffside and point to a very specific room that is arbitrarily the map room in the crashed and submerged death star? dont say the force.

he didnt. the entirety of star wars before then was "palpatine the clone of the super sith on exogal who was only just introduced". the movie was going by so fast that i dont think they ever say it outright, but was implied due to the cloning vats of snook. its like having hitler be the main villain and then suddenly a UFO came down and announced that it was the cause of ww2 all along and gives everyone a singular target to shoot at to win the war.

so the force is like the speed force now where too many people pulling from either light and dark side reduces the force pressure that person can channel. so with rey being the last jedi she has full full force psi or something iunno.
