Literally the first episode showed her beating up a jock for grabbing her ass. Not sure why you think she will have the same character arc as the comics one when she’s a completely different character
>after all this shit >after all that chest thumping >Amber ends up in an abusing relationship after Mark and he has to intimidate her boyfriend >Mark ends up dating a white red-head instead-stead
THINK AMBER THINK
WHAT WILL MARK HAVE IN 500 YEARS!?
I'm gonna play devil's advocate and say I don't think their relationship was poorly handled so far this season. It was nice of her to be supportive of Mark after the Omni man incident and it was cute when they were happy to realize they were both going to college together.
That being said it would be nice to see her reconcile with mark over what she said to him when he revealed his powers.
Theres already a shit ton of black characters in the comics but the felt like making mark a chink, amber a shenequa, and william out of the closet right off the bat. Its obvious as fuck the writers didnt read shit.
The William thing isn't a huge deal, being in the closet makes less sense set in the modern day for the kind of outspoken person he is. Making Mark half-asian has the potential to be hilarious if they keep it canon he'll look more and more like Nolan as he ages, dude's straight up got internalized colonization.
The only thing I don't like about William already being out of the closet is that we won't be able to see the hilarious moment where he bemoans that Mark might not take him flying anymore.

This is what Cinemaphilem or targs believe even though he’s blue eyed in tne comic

Do you just not talk to people from other parts of the world? I was like 14 when I heard how this is possible.
>the writers and show runner and creator are wrong about the race of their own characters
Bruh. Even if Debbie is 100% Asian, tne way they explain Viltrumite breeding is that their genes are so strong they overpower the ones they mate with. We see Omniman’s son turn from humanoid with pink skin. To looking exactly like a human
Why the fuck would Mark not look exactly like his dad, rather than look part Asian then?
Wait so if Mark has a kid with Amber, the brownoid child would slowly morph into a white man?

Yes. Not int he show though. Clearly diversity would take paramount over any kind of internal consistency. Same way they kept Maeve in the Boys alive despite falling out of a skyscraper from an explosion after losing her powers, solely because the writers refused to let an LGBT character die, then proudly stated this publicly
>Cinemaphile doesn't even read comics as usual
That's because Oliver is using hologram technology so he can blend in among humans, Oliver goes back to having the alien skin tone when he gets married and lives off Earth.

Post page where that’s established. The bugman kids all turn white as they became mature enough. Thraggs whole army is a bunch of teens since the bug anatomy makes them age quicker
>just because he and his mom have blue eyes, that doesn’t mean Debbie isn’t a secret Asian!
We can see Asian characters in tne comic and they look nothing like Debbie. They have very slanted eyes.
The “Debbie was Asian, mark is mixed race. This was ALWAYS the case” crowd either didn’t read the comic, or can’t understand what art styles mean.
From a distance. Omniman is drawn with dotted eyes too. Does this mean he’s actually Asian?
Get the fuck over it. If you like the race change that’s fine. But the show runner, writers and actors have all talked about it. Because they see it as a positive thing. So it’s bizarre you cannot accept it’s even true
>Asian people ONLY have very slanted eyes
Do you know how many phenotypes there are asssociated with the continent of Asia? You can draw one Asian with a lot more severely shaped eyes, and another Asian with not so much... >From a distance. Omniman is drawn with dotted eyes too. Does this mean he’s actually Asian?
Dude what, either you appreciate art style isn't trying to shoot for realism, or you over-analyse the shape of Kate vs Mark's eyes.

We get it dude. You cannot understand the idea that art styles exist
Here’s Omniman. Guess he was Asian too

I'm not saying Debbie was drawn to be anything
I'm saying that the art style is relatively vague when it comes to her genetic makeup caring about such things where they interpret ambiguity to be a bit more in any direction is fine.

Only if you ignore all other canon Asian characters having a different skin colour and eyes than her from her. And close up drawings of her showing round blue eyes

That’s him in the shadows. The lit up part of his face looks white. At least post a pic of him where he’s in good lighting if you’re gonna claim he’s purple man
The only thing annoying with William out of the closet is that I fail to understand how Mark decided to become friends with open flamboyant William when the show doesn't even both to show off them having similar interests.
I mean they probably became friends as little kids, and they probably were both into comic books or whatever. Kids are easy that way, you both like cookies, so you're now best friends.
That's fair, but I wish they would display the friendship better before William gets written out.
Mark comes back to school for the first day after grieving and his best friend isn't even there for him?
The interesting thing about Angstrom Levy is that he's absolutely one hundred percent morally in the right, he's just aiming it at the wrong person. He's assuming that this mark is a monster because of all the others, but he's totally right to assume that he's dangerous, and morally righteous to be seeking revenge for those that the other marks wronged. He just shouldn't be doing that to THIS mark.
Part of me thinks they left him out of the first episode on purpose due to the >Where's Mark, William?
memes.
Depending how far this first s2 ep was in production.
But it's probably due to him being with his possibly cyborg-now boyfriend.
Leaks have confirmed that the penultimate episode reveals that Mark only ever doesn't become evil in universes where he is with Amber; specifically a black Amber
>I love my superhero boyfriend
AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH
I HATE HER
I HATE HER
I HATE HER
WHEN WILL EVE GET WITH MARK
I CANT DO THIS ANYMORE
MY ENJOYMENT WAS JUST SUCKED AWAY WHENEVER SHE APPEARED
I was going to make this exact thread.
What the fuck were they thinking? No one liked her.

Everyone everywhere hated her. And the writers response? Just 180° her character and pretend nothing happened. This must be what gaslighting feels like. What a whiplash.
Also, is Season 2 looking worse than Season 1 or has it just been too long since I last watched it? I swear the characters don't look the same, and they're using more cheap 3D assets. I need to check if they've changed directors or what. Also, can Robot please get a haircut.
The animation is noticeably worse. I am coming into this optimistically, and I really enjoyed the first season, and I was pumped for the new content, being a good little leftoid beanboy, and I'm not even disappointed: I liked the new episode. But there were probably three different points where my brain went "why the fuck does that look like that"? There's a shot where one of the mauler twins looks normal and the other mauler has like a completely different face that looks like it's an entirely different person. And that's BEFORE the multimauler bit.
I personally think it was a fine episode, it just looked weird. Couldn't put my finger on it yet. Also the scenes at the start, with the other dimension, felt weak. It felt mostly empty and not in a DOOM way.
I'm still hoping that they saved resources for something huge later on in the season, possibly something to do with the whole dimension skipping? Maybe they could show Marvel Studios how to properly do that.
>completely empty
I didn't think of it that way in the moment, but you're absolutely right. I can imagine the storyboard showing panning shots of devastated cityscapes and people trying to hide and survive, all having to be cut because of how expensive all that art would be.
Literally the only problem I ever had with amber was that one scene with the "fly away, flyboy" bit. The only thing the writers would have to do to win me over to her side was to explain why she would have that reaction. If her dad left to go be a superhero when she was a kid and then died, and her mom is like a struggling single mother and Amber just doesn't give the hero business any respect and does on-the-ground good work to actually improve the lives of people, and when she saw Mark fighting his dad on the news that changed how she saw him, suddenly I'm fine with it. But you have to explain that scene. Maybe she dated a guy who got powers and he got himself killed, and so that informed how she saw Mark and the being late and the lying and then finding out he did in fact get superpowers, that would work.
to the people who have read the comics: how many episodes do you think it will take for them to break up, assuming there won't be any additional major changes from the comic? Will it even happen in this season?
I do really, really like the idea of a show being able to lean into depicting two twelve year olds in a healthy, happy, sexually active relationship because they're both adults in kids' bodies, it would be great to see how uncomfortable and angry that would make people both in the show and in the audience, if Robot were to make a joke about how he has physical intimacy issues, and for Monster Girl to make a joke in his favor about him actually being quite satisfactory in the bedroom, sort of a "don't beat yourself up about it" bit in support of him, and then the camera pans over to cecil looking like he just stepped in dog shit because they're like 12
>>she will remain the love interest
She's going to get BTFO by Eve, and then BTFO even further by her physically abusive boyfriend
Literally the first episode showed her beating up a jock for grabbing her ass. Not sure why you think she will have the same character arc as the comics one when she’s a completely different character
She kicked Tod in the nards because he was beating up Mark, not because he grabbed her. And Tod's back was turned when she did it.
>after all this shit
>after all that chest thumping
>Amber ends up in an abusing relationship after Mark and he has to intimidate her boyfriend

THINK AMBER THINK
WHAT WILL MARK HAVE IN 500 YEARS!?
It's fucking hilarious how badly people on this website WANT to be angry about stupid shit.
They exist to be outraged
She's definitely gonna get BTFO by Eve, but they're gonna cut the abuse part.
You're deluding yourself anon. Modern day writers will never show a black woman losing.
No wait guys
If you think about it, the relationship between Eve and Invincible is NOT essential to the plot at all.
They can do this
Libs are in for a rude awakening with this show holy fuck
I'm gonna play devil's advocate and say I don't think their relationship was poorly handled so far this season. It was nice of her to be supportive of Mark after the Omni man incident and it was cute when they were happy to realize they were both going to college together.

Mark was always ambiguously mixed
He and Debbie had blue eyes. That's not ambiguous at all

You mean to tell me the literal human alien hybrid is race mixed? HOLY SHIT
This is what Cinemaphilem or targs believe even though he’s blue eyed in tne comic
and as we all know, only trueblooded sons of the north can ever have blue eyes, right?

That's a perfectly fair point.
Yeah whats up with William not being there?
AIDS. It's a damn shame.
Multiversal Yakub could've cured him.

While I don't like the pointless drama they tacked on to her I have to admit I actually do like black ambers design.
>>just ignores all criticism about Amber from the chuds
It's only been one episode, but she seems less bitchy and more supportive this season.
the worst thing about the amber changes is that they district from the rex changes, which are a thousand times worse and borderline ruin the show
I FUCKING HATE AMERILARD israeliteSLOP STOP SHILLING THIS YOU ZOG MUTT LARD ASS

I’m so jealous of Robot… he gets monster girl dicky…

There is undoubtedly a universe where Mark is a woman and is dating a man named Atom Adam.
God I would want Omni-Woman to crush me to death with her thighs
Mark is obviously korean because Yakub hasn't invented white people yet.
its funny how much better life is when you stop listening to the racists
I did, but Amber is still an unrepetant bitch. What do?
It’s because he’s…invincible
