NTA but I think the plot got as convoluted and stretched as the story could've possibly afforded before the quality started to drop off.
I think I stopped at just the right point.
Unnecesarily Imight add, a
it was three timelines, then they added a bazillion more, oh no in reality it was 3 universes...
It shouñd have ended with Jonas detonating the bomb at the end of season 1...
Actually consanguineous marriages are about 25x more common in large parts of africa than anywhere in Europe or the US. I would think casual inbreeding would follow suit as these relationships are frowned upon in africa just as much as anywhere else.
>I actually liked the ending, though it was beautiful.
so did they break the loop? i thought their young selves seeing them in the closet imply that it was simply another part of the loop and its not truly broken
yeah, they escaped. It would have been awesome if they would have been the ones starting the loop. Go to real original world to stop loop. End up on bridge. Cause accident and the clock maker does the whole time machine again. But I guess they wanted a happy ending
No, they can't break the loop. If the clockmaker's family does't die, he never invents the time machine, Jonas and Martha never exist, Jonas and Martha never stop the clockmaker's family from dying, the clockmaker invents the time machine, which causes Jonas and Martha to exist and eventually stop the clockmaker's family from dying. It's a meta loop.
but they would only need to stop family from dying once because time moves forward from that point. his world was broken and its essentially stuck. they simply unstuck it and they dont need to exist to save his family since his family would have already been saved.
Only if you apply the time travel logic selectively. If the car crash doesn't happen, the factor that stopped it from happening no longer exists, so the car crash happens. Simple as.
nah its like this picture
so the first line is the world without time travel, going forward until the end of the universe.
second is when the idiot creates the machine that breaks time and has it stuck in an infinite loop. time cant move forward from that point.
third is when they they break out of the loop to the origin point and prevent the accident from happening.
the accident wont happen because the timeline is now fixed, it keeps going forward assuming nobody invents time travel again.

Again, you're applying the logic selectively. For there to be no car crash, there must exist a factor which retroactively never existed in the first place if there were no car crash. This is a logical impossibility. At the end of the day, this is the problem of all time travel stories. It's nonsensical if the loop isn't stable. For that to not be the case, the changes introduced must be part of a larger loop.

but it did exist, up until the point where they fixed the problem causing time to be stuck. then the world moves forward until someone decides to make another time machine and fuck up the time line. time is a straight line until the idiot fucks it up.

>which retroactively
its been observed that cause and effect don't work retroactively.
quantum mechanics allows for effect to precede cause and for said cause to be deleted. If time is traversal as a physical dimension, then there is nothing precluding the ability to break linear causality.
There's also the flow of >thing is created -> thing travels to before creation -> thing prevents creation -> thing no longer exists
the idea "time" would get stuck in this situation is kinda dumb. Its not like time would restart and try to correct this sequence to be "logical."
Seriously the best show I've seen in years. Considering the complex plot it wraps up nicely, the cast is great, the photography is great and the music is fantastic.
I tell people to watch but you have to watch the first 2 episodes before deciding if it's for you.
It was pure kino until they added the multiverse shit.
The complicated time travel shit was soo well explained that even normies got it and it pretty much ALL made sense.
Then comes S2 Ending a.k.a. "WE NEED A SUPER CLIFFHANGER LIKE SEASON 1"
And they just made the cliffhanger without putting ANY effort into Worldbuilding, which is why Evas Future World is just a desert without anything in it.
It also destroyed much of the Worldbuilding, like the Kidnapping time travel shit happening in Evas World, yet she doesn't do the experiments, since she steals the Blueprints from Adam at the end of his Loop.
So why/how in hell are Kids getting time travel killed in her World.
Forgot to add
It's so absurdly well written that they made a website that pretty much explains EVERYTHING.
https://dark.netflix.io/en/family-tree
I can't think of many other pieces of fiction that could dare to do this without showing how poorly written they are.
Then the Season 3 decline happened, giving a decent indication that 1899 was going to be shit.
Most of the writing staff also left for that show.
Honestly, the irony that early DARK was about the Protagonist understanding that he was about to cause a Grandfather Paradox and choosing not to, even making sure to keep the Loop as he always does, yet the fkn shows timeline is somehow fixed by causing said Paradox should show you that the writers with Braincells left somewhere along the way.
>multiverse shit.
It's not a multiverse. There are two parallel timelines (Adam's and Eve's) looping and causing each other to happen.

DARK was written from start to finish before they even started filming it, anon.
Yeah, the ending suggests it's all still happening. It has to because without Jonas and Marta interfering in the original timeline, the new timeline doesn't exist.
season 1 is shit and boring until the Mikkel reveal and then it goes full pure time travel kino. You had to have a lot of patience for the first episodes.
Only brainlets dislike season 3. Yes it was more emotional and rushed than the first 2, but still it was a lot better than season 1.
I said more rushed. Yes, the story went faster than the first 2 seasons. There were less germans crying and wondering through the woods. They went directly to the story that they wanted to tell. It wasn't the greatest ending, but they did a fine job of ending it in way that it made sense in the world that they built.
From Spain - "Los Serrano". It's about a typical spanish family and their lives. It ended with the father (actor Antonio Resines) commiting suicide, but in the next and final scene you could see the family having a normal day together implying it was either all a dream or that he's in Heaven.
People hated it. And now we sarcastically say "Maybe it was all Resines dream" ("A lo mejor todo es un sueño de Resines").
I quit when S2 ended
how come?
I felt S3 would be a rehash of S2
S2 is better than S1 and makes S1 interesting
Same

fell off after the first season
I watched 1899 and it turns into absolute shit at the midway point. Is Dark anything like 1899 (ie terrible)?
It gets convoluted after the first season, as does all time travel shows but I still liked it.
Unnecesarily Imight add, a

Uncertainty principle precludes the possibility of a stable time loop.
It's way better than 1899. I do not know what the writer/director duo thought by making it, but it's so far below Dark it should be insulting to them.
No, even with the quality drop of season 3, it's still overall a solid show. If you like time travel.
dark is the best show ever
Dark season 1 is outstanding. Season 2 is good. Season 3 is alright.1899 wasn't good at any point.
i liked 1899 because it was obvious from the first episode they were in a breaking down simulation.
every single person on screen is white, like every single one. even the extras. I checked
It fits with the incest theme of the show.
Actually consanguineous marriages are about 25x more common in large parts of africa than anywhere in Europe or the US. I would think casual inbreeding would follow suit as these relationships are frowned upon in africa just as much as anywhere else.
S1 is kino
S2 is good
S3 is when Lynch left Twin Peaks. You still love the characters and want to find out what happened, but it's not the same.
I actually liked the ending, though it was beautiful.

>S1 bad
>S3 2deep4u
You know, you are supposed to put at least some effort into trolling
This aint even worth a (you)
Christ she is so fucking hot.
s1 once in a lifetime kino
s2 kino of the highest order
s3 elder god kino
daily reminder, tv got filtered by s3
I've seen worse endings. At least it didn't ruin the whole series, like Lost or Game of thrones.
>2010+13 years and 11 months
>still filtered by LOST's ending
Only homosexuals are scared of being called filtered and other shit.
We have a famous series in my country that had such a bad ending that we made a sarcastic proverb out of it.
Which series and what's the proverb? I'd love to hear it.
From Spain - "Los Serrano". It's about a typical spanish family and their lives. It ended with the father (actor Antonio Resines) commiting suicide, but in the next and final scene you could see the family having a normal day together implying it was either all a dream or that he's in Heaven.

go on
Even the intro is kino. Never hit that Skip Intro button.
Egon did nothing wrong.
I found it to be the kind of meme show that was taylor-made for reddit
Why? Because of the homosexuals?
i couldn't get though season 4 so i couldn't possibly tell you.
dis dude a traveler
Post the leotard webms
Thsi series made me work out to try and get a fit gf
Personality is still lacking though
I believe in you anon. You can do it.
I love DARK.
I'm going to start a rewatch tonight.
Dark threads were super fun.
still waiting to go back
did not expect his arc to be getting punished in every timeline
yeah and then he beats the hell out of a kid for no reason.
did him dirty, meanwhile the crazy ass hannah gets away relatively scot free
>did him dirty
did himself dirty. Ulrich was the biggest retard of the series.
