There isn't. It's universally acclaimed.
Not universally, but it made money. Wright made a lot of changes, and in this case I think they were appropriate to condense 5.5 comic books into a coherent movie. There is a problem, but it's a complex one: casting Cera worked exactly as intended, making Scott much more likeable. So likeable that it kind of changes the point of the movie. The current fuss the Netflix bait&switch series, open which opinions are divided. Taking Scott Pilgrim out of Scott Pilgrim and showing Ramona as emotionally mature in a way Scott isn't certainly seems iffy.

That’s been going on for ages. Scott Pilgrim was just one of the last “manic pixie dream girl” films. If anything, it made another generation of geeky guys that look like Michael Cera think they could get quirky girls like Ramona Flowers.
i don't know if i can blame scott pilgrim alone for that. or even at all. scott pilgrim is a product of the 90's, that shit was already happening. i was in high school mid-2000's, it was already there. the movie didn't express anything new.

I did enjoy it and thought it was a fun movie. The problem was it was part of the movement that ushered in some of the more annoying aspects of our culture today. Some people saw this movie and made it their personality. It's like at least with a movie like Rocky people who made that movie their personality were training hard and doing something positive with their lives.
