Batman seems more like a vocal-less kinda music appreciator: jazz, krautrock, ambient, etc
but The Cure fits I guess: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lzbRSD_rM1A

I like The Batman but I find a lot of it oddly irrational/pointless or cringey, I wonder how these things came to be in the film - rewriting during production or reshoots?

I liked Batman being the focus for the first time, every prior film pushes him into the background to focus on a lot of other fussing around
I liked the characterisation, the crime story focus

But it also has a lot of wonkiness and negatives
      >All the meandering subplots that dont go anywhere or amount to anything
      >The same old tired will they/wont they coy playing around with Batman and Catwoman - much more interesting would be cut to the chase and have them form a relationship and partner up
      >Another third act race to save the city
      >Joker fricking again
      >Gordon and Batman being partners, lolwut
I think this one came about because once you put Batman front and center he has to talk to someone to explain his thought process and deductions, you can get away with that in the cave with Alfred but outside it?
It's the same problem Sherlock Holmes has, he needs a Watson to explain things to. Bill Finger himself is supposed to have identified this early on and it was one reason he created Robin.
Well my suggestion of teaming with Catwoman and developing a relationship with her would give him someone to talk to.
      and for

Now that the dust has settled, we can admit that this movie sucked shit. A boring and tedious 3 hour slog of shit when the movie could have easily been editors down to 2 hours.

Also completely dishonest filmmaking. The entire aesthetic, atmosphere and even marketing of this was almost tailor made to appeal to Cinemaphile internet loner young men, the “literally me” types, then when you actually see the movie, it’s just the same tired old left wing propganda needlessly shoehorned into capeshit. Bruce Wayne’s dad was not a noble man, but a scumbag politician who worked with the mafia to kill a journalist who was going to expose him. Cat woman gives us a small rant about “rich white men” ruining the city. The movie opens with the sort of nihilistic violence plaguing the city as a group of skinhead joker guy push a new member of their gang, a young black guy, to harass and beat up and old Asian man (#STOPASIANHATE!) the black guy is of course not into it so this is something people on New York can relate to, the roving mobs of 30 year old white men who harass and beat up people on the subway.

The overall hope for Gotham is a black woman politician (Obama/AOC) who is going to save the city once elected, from all the corrupt rich white men catwoman talked about. The movie then just becomes Batman making sure she wins because if cities like New Orleans or Chicago taught us anything, a black woman in charge is what cities really need to stop crime and societal rot.

Then of course there is the riddler, a very obvious frick you to the targeted audience and he is this incel school shooter type going on a rampage. He even has copy cat people who follow him. I at least thought it was a kind of interesting take on the character for the modern day, but then someone revealed this wasn’t even original since he was like a Cinemaphile troll type in one of the Arkham video games.

This movie is a boring 3 hour crypto woke propaganda piece of shit.

      >Bella Real is a corporations idea of what a progressive candidate is, all image no policy

It baffles me how this came to have such a hodge podge of good and bad in it

It's about time. Is that like a bad thing, that we got ONE movie marketed to us? Frick you, man it was great.

I honestly think you are too online. There was no rant about white men, it was one line and Batman rebuffs it. The mayor is a black woman...so was the DA in Burton's Batman. idk i think you are just trying to hate it.

For me the weakest part of the whole movie was the closing shot of Batman and Selina riding motorcycles in their bat/cat suits. That shot was so fricking silly it left a bad taste in my mouth. Classic Dano's acting was a bit weird, but I really liked the movie. The villain won, when has that ever happened?

Frick off, the movie had a very clear political message to it and you’re being an butthole by pretending not to notice it just to stick it to chuds or whatever.

Also, Batman doesn’t rebuff it, he sits there and gets lectured like a good boy. And of course his father is presented as a villain once again, just like in joker. Do you think this is just a coincidence or has to do with far left politics of hating rich white men?

I always get a chuckle when Cinemaphile talks about "dishonest filmmaking" or "camera movement"
and the /misc/ack complaining thinking they're being targeted and victimized is the icing on the cake
