It is. But weebs generally don't like this adaptation (well it's korean, for once). I know nothing about the anime, but I follow this director religiously and I thought it was great. It's superbly shot and directed, the actions scenes are as always with this guy amazing, and the romance at the heart of the movie is very touching.

I really liked queen of tears in the beginning. but in the final episodes I am starting to get annoyed by a few things. the evil ex-boyfriend keeps coming up with these stupid plots and then Pikachu face's when it doesn't work. I'm annoyed that male lead still has not brought up the event that sparked their break up. The writers should have waved all the atrocities hae-in committed in front of her face. instead her husband just sits there like he's gonna cry. last thing is at times, hae-in acts like a cry baby brat literally throwing up her arms and running away. it's a waste of time everytime she does it.
The show peaked at ep 11 and has become weaker as episodes went by. Unless the finale is as good as the peak episodes, the show will be a 7.5 for me.
