Does anyone not trust Disney with Deadpool or am I alone here? I feel like the recent MCU stuff has been shitty. I know people are excited but he’s an easy character to flanderize and turn into “LE FUNNY CHIMICHANGA”, also I really dislike the TVA.
You guys can get excited, I don’t care, I know Cinemaphile likes the current MCU multiverse saga. But Disney handling Deadpool gives me a bad feeling in my gut….
no one likes Disney MCU you’re probably seeing that one shill who keeps making threads over and over….
The modern MCU is either meh to terrible, there’s no in between.
Most Disneyshill threads are bait
>he’s an easy character to flanderize and turn into “LE FUNNY CHIMICHANGA”
You mean like Ryan Reynolds already has with the character and the previous movie ? That's all he is and all he will ever be until people get tired of the shtick, hell they already were until he had to bring up washed up jackman to boost the movie sales, that movie was going to be a dud without him.
I heard they’re also bringing in Hiddleston to make the fangirls come in. This movie is gonna be awful. This movie is relying on washed up actors and references.
They should be called fanhags at this point because no woman under 30 is into that balding dork.
I’ll give them this, I agree Tom was pretty handsome in the earlier days of Marvel, and this is coming from a bisexual man. But now I don’t see the appeal. Maybe if we’re talking about modern Comic Loki I could see it. Not to mention, Loki overstayed his welcome after Infinity War, I never hated the character like some people on this board do, I thought he was kinda interesting, but come the series I really ended up disliking him. Disney will keep milking him for some reason, however. He’s already going to be in DP3 and Avengers 5.
Eh, a character doesn’t need a main villain to be good.
>Disney will keep milking him for some reason, however.
After Chris and Robert left, Tom is the most popular of the phase 1 cast they have left.
The first two movies, relative to costs and marketing, were highly profitable. Unless this movie makes less than $700M, it should be considered profitable and a success, and if it makes closer to $900M or more, it can be considered comparably comparable to the prior two films.
Like most discussions of box office on Cinemaphile, this is all stupid and genuinely imbecilic, in any event, before July when you can at least point to facts like pre-sales and tracking data. And even that isn't useful and helpful, since pre-sales and tracking for The Flash didn't indicate it was going to fail as much as it did - until the final tracking dropped by quite a bit (likely as a response to the social campaign against Ezra).
They already made a point of saying FRICKING like four or five times in a less than 2 minute trailer for the final trailer. MPAA does allow ONE frick in a movie and let's you keep a PG-13 but even if there's no blood or gore or violence, two will get you an R rating.
Panels can be entertaining, the books themselves even are meh.
this is closer to my opinion but I'll still probably go see the movie in a theater but on a Discount Tuesday day at $7 a pop.
I still have zero hope in this film being good simply because I don’t trust Disney. But there’s no doubt in my mind it’s gonna be phenomenal and overhyped. All MCU films this big usually are, shit or not. Look at Loki and Endgame. Two things that are mid and terrible and the normies still wont shut up about them being mastepieces. So no, I’m not denying this film will blow it out of the park, I’m denying it will be good. And I’m saying they’re using washed up, aging actors like Jackman and Hiddleston to draw in a crowd and random comic cameos. Normies are easily pulled in by that. What I’m also not looking forward to is the rerise of Deadpool cosplayers coming to local cons, as well.
Deadpool cosplayers are Autist, I’ll give you that
>that movie was going to be a dud without him.
calling horseshit on this one. DP1 and 2 are some of the highest grossing R-Rated movies ever made and normies love deadpool. you’re probably just salty the movie’s going to hit 1 billy.
Stick to the comics, I’ve given up on the MCU.
>Shilling for the mouse
>Defending current MCU
I hate this board
cry, Black person
Gonna have to agree here. Stick to the comics. Deadpool’s current run actually isn’t all that annoying.
>You mean like Ryan Reynolds already has with the character and the previous movie ?
I saw both movies and I never got that impression at all. Reynolds portrays him in a pagliacci manner.
And i love that, especially as someone who appreciates theater.
Another community college part timer attempting to sound intelligent with a reference he only knows from comics.
>a complete reset of the casting and writing process and showing off a b
>>>
homie did fricking AJAX as the first movie. Reynolds read the perry run.
>I know people are excited
It’s only one Schizo
At this point the only thing that could get me to see the movies is a complete reset of the casting and writing process and showing off a bunch of clips of Actors doing actual horeographed action scenes with wires and shit on sets instead of green screens and cgi for everything.
Honestly hard agree.
At this point the only thing that could get me to see the movies is Dafne Keen doing full frontal nudity.
>the only thing that could get me to see the movie is pissing away millions of dollars and doing things inefficiently just to try and please a small minority of impossible to please nerds who probably won't even pay to see the money anyway
We love Disney
Yes we do
We love Disney
And the MCU
best films ever
10/10
I watch MCU’s films again and again
The recent stuff is so damn good
Watching it gives me wood
Give the mouse all my cash
MCU haters can kiss my ass
Every film is film of the year
When the TVA appears on screen, I’ll yell! I’ll cheer.
We celebrate the mouse
We buy funkos for our house
I’m so proud of being a shill
It’s MCU haters I would kill
I have no mind of my own
But I’m not alone
I love to consoom
Disney+ makes me coom
I never really liked Deadpool to begin with
me neither
Did any character get fricked harder by Secret Wars then Deadpool?
Deadpool survived Secret Wars intact.
Ms Marvel was the one who got fricked over, as after Secret Wars, she ended up being dragged into the greater Marvel Universe and sales on her book collapsed because the few non-comic readers reading her books bailed because they didn't want super hero shit or crossovers, just slice of life garbage with their self-insert.
Marvel's making it PG if it goes to the MCU and I don't want that. Same for the xmen. It's just not gonna be the same, but their main target audience is emotionally underdeveloped adults unfortunately.
You have to strike a balance. I don't want Waypool, but all the "I'm Pagliacci, I'm so fricking complex and sad" shit is going too far for me in the other direction.
I would've rather gotten a third Deadpool movie that used the Posehn and Duggan runs for inspiration, sort of like how the first and second movies have a bit of Kelly and Cable & Deadpool respectively.
>I know Cinemaphile likes the current MCU multiverse saga
Cinemaphile isn’t a hive mind but this is not the common sentiment. Most people are apathetic to unhappy with it.
>Does anyone not trust Disney
There is no one who trusts Disney with anything today
>I know Cinemaphile likes the current MCU multiverse saga.
I don't.
>But Disney handling Deadpool gives me a bad feeling in my gut….
I for one believe Reynolds (yes I know people knock him but here me out) and Jackman would not let the fans down and I think they will both inject so much testosterone in the Disney M-She-U it may just give Disney the understanding that making money is awesome enough to go back to making movies not propaganda pieces.
Eh, people are saying Loki and Moon Knight saved the MCU because they “weren’t woke” and the MCU is still trash. (Granted, I liked Moon Knight and didn’t like Loki.) I don’t have much hope for Deadpool 3, and I liked the first two films. And the fact the TVA and Loki are involved is a recipe for disaster to me- mainly because I dislike the multiverse saga (And Loki fans). :/ I’ve given modern MCU way too many chances, and I don’t think a masculine character like Deadpool or Wolverine can save them, especially since we know Normies love Waypool. (I mean, look at these dumbass cosplayers acting like complete morons.)
You gotta think, there’s been plenty of MCU actors who loved their characters and defended the hell outta them that allowed the Mouse to frick them up. Whatever hope I have for the MCU is dead and I’m honestly, unless a miracle happens, am done with it. I like Jackman and Reynolds, but there’s no saving the MCU. Though I like your optimism.
Feels
I don't know why people act like movie Deadpool isn't putting on a farce to hide his fricked up issues. It's almost as if Cinemaphile is fricking stupid, and takes every joke at face value
Because movie Deadpool was being written as a wacky goofball with stupid meme-tier obsessions before he even becomes Deadpool.
I don't trust ANYONE with Deadpool. He's always going to be an annoying over used over promoted character
It’s sad to see what he’s become, Deadpool got me into comics many years back and now he’s bait for obnoxious homosexuals
Deadpool has been through some very bad runs since hydra caps bullshit led to him erasing all of his memories. The era of Deadpool being a Marvel headliner is long gone.
As someone who suffered through the Daniel Way era of Deadpool, I'm just happy it's not as bad as that.
people will miss daniel way era, mark my words.
In my professional opinion, Deadpool literally can't get wackier than we've already seen in his other two movies. We'll probably get a few serious moments like when he lost his shit fighting Francis or crying over Melissa.
we trying to be Batman now?
DC unironically already has a Deadpool
>Slade Wilson
>Wade Wilson
Who ripped off whom?
who do you think?
Rob Liefeld and Fabian Nicieza described the creation of Deadpool as Rob designing a character who was originally just going to be a one-off villain with a look that was meant to be sort of an evil ninja with a vaguely Spider-Man look and build, but Nicieza pointed out the plot is about an evil merc fighting a team of teens, and how that's Deathstroke's whole thing, so they leaned into it by making Deadpool's real name an in-joke based on the Deathstroke connection. That's all there really was to it.
Liefeld said Deadpool was all him and Nicieza was just lucky to be around at the time.
I'm talking about what they'd said decades earlier before movie money was an issue and they were still largely on the same page about how everything happened.
lmao he pulled a Bill Finger? Fricking Comic pros...
I feel the same about Planet of the Apes. Still haven't seen the latest one but I keep hearing its better than the Reeves versions which I loved as much as the OG movie
Tfw unironically X-Mem Origins Wolverine was a better handling of Deadpool than anything else.
Deadpool lack of iconic villain
Most of it is either rival, or one-off
>Does anyone not trust Disney with Deadpool or am I alone here?
I don't, but it's a good thing that Fox/Marvel is in charge of Deadpool first.
Which is funny, as how they treated it is no more than indie movie
I hate that you can't discuss brands like Disney at all without Indian fanboys showing up to represent their favorite corporation.
I fricking hate you swarthy morons.

fricking HATE "good" characters. Nobody is like that, nobody wakes up and says "I want to do the right thing" like fricking Rey from Star Wars. The first thing people think of is taking a shit and eating. People are inherently selfish, self-motivated and only behave pro-socially over deep seated shame or empathy, this needs to be understood in any story or characterization.
"Virtue" in reality isn't saving puppies, feeding the homeless or any of that shit, it looks like a soldier occupying an enemy's families house,
thinking: "I will likely be dead tomorrow because of these people, I want to kill them, take their food and rape the women, frick these subhumans to DEATH" and then not acting out on those desires because that last shred of humanity you have is begging you not to do it so it can tell you you're a good person. It's having to do horrible things and then cope afterwards because you really didn't have a choice and you made your decision. It's bailing your moronic prostitute sister out of bind that you have told her endlessly wasn't a good idea, but she is too stupid to get it and now you need to save her from herself and make enemies of bad people.
Aristotle and Plato solved morality 2000 years ago and homosexuals like Kant and Hume have been poisoning the water since, all these tolkien gays are just assblasted christgays mad they don't control the narrative anymore. God I want the superhero genre to die.
What
Time is a flat god damned circle, people don’t operate like that, time is a flat circle, fricking frick

If people arent inherently good why did I hold the door open for someone when leaving a building
I once helped a homeless woman and her dog buy a meal. I’ve also helped out at animal shelters.
nice one anon
I mean that’s kinda deadpool in a nutshell, one of the things that made deadpool great was he wasn’t well known at first. Now he is and he’s everywhere that’s why a lot of people are over deadpool. The movies haven’t gotten to this point yet with most casuals but maybe this film or the next one. I mean regardless of how this movie is you know there will be a deadpool 3.
>LE FUNNY CHIMICHANGA
You already literally had that in the movie but you ate it up.
I don't remember if it's the first or second but he literally does the chimichanga bit. Disney is awful but so were the Deadpool movies.
When it comes to Capeshit movies, I say stick to comics instead. Also Deadpool’s fans are mentally moronic.
Deadpool is shitty anyways. Who cares?
Did you lived in a cave since the 2020s or something? Is this your first time oustide reddit/twitter/ytb/whatever?
