this franchise has seriously overstayed its welcome

It was fine as a trilogy with the last film being not quite as good as the others but still serviceable. I guess since they made money they have to keep making them though.
I wonder if the Apes will finally be able to talk eloquently like they do in the original film.

I need to proper link up movie to the original, then we will finally have enough monkino.

How? The three movies are fantastic, they only got better and better.

I disagree, the entire trilogy was a set up for the astronauts returning, probably over a trilogy, and setting up a follow on trilogy where ape civilization is overthrown.

Nah. It's actually being milked just the right amount. I miss when movie franchises were like this one, a sequel every few years or so and not part of some stupid cinematic universe.

That said, Disney owns the IP now so if this movie is a hit get ready for Monke Cinematic Universe.

Andy Serkis has been the main character in the last three films and he's white. What the frick are you talking about?

    >casting a white woman in planet of the apes
Can’t wait for twitter to start crying about whitewashing and try to get this movie canceled, meanwhile if you say one thing against blackwashing you’re racist for being against it.

I had no idea these were remakes

Conquest was the first remade film with rise, then battle was dawn and war. It’s gonna be interesting once the astronauts arrive that ultimately sets up a remake of the original movie(and the 2001 film)

Yep because by the time of planet they have become a spitting image of mankind despite their attempts of trying to avoid being like man, especially when they put humans in cages.

I'm guessing this movie will deal with a main "faction" of Apes fighting for control against other factions who see Caesar in different forms that differ from each other. Hell, the main "faction" might lose at the end of the film against one that sees Caesar as only the "Lawgiver"
