>I like the movie now for what it is but I'm not sorry I hated it. It is a bad movie. It is just also a good movie.
Pretty based opinion. I concur, I feel about SW the same way. Not good, not terrible.
Sweet tender prequelteen delusion. There are definitely moments that stand out as bad (Lando in the hanger in RotJ) but the mattes were almost always handled better because the rest of the production design and cinematography were handled far better -- even in RotJ.
Hershlag is fricking HOT in this one. I beat off to her in that tight white outfit so many times.
The movie is an improvement over TPM, still a lot of stupid shit (50's diner, a bounty hunter hiring another bounty hunter), but is a guilty pleasure of mine.
>gold
no >ok in a set
Yeah. 9 doesn't have this type, so it kind of softly excludes the sequels from the set, so you can just get the first 6 in arguably the definitive editions. I like that the cases aren't numbered so R1 fans can pick-n-choose, and prequelhaters as well, but really if you get the mainline saga the boxes look great.
My favorite Star Wars moment is:
"THEY'VE GONE UP THE VENTILATION SHAFT"
Boomers and their obsession over a children movie about comically GOOD virgin sky magicians vs SPACE NAZIS BAD is embarrassing. STAR WARS IS FOR FRICKING KIDS YOU FAT MANCHILDREN
I don't need to apologize because I always thought it was fine. Entertaining, even.
The original Clone Wars even enhanced that feeling and now I unironically love the padawan Anakin era.
Unnecessarily complex assassination attempt. Unnecessary shapeshifter, could have had some scenes of shapeshifting espionage action but just dies. Contrived detective work, would a dart really lead to finding Kamino, could have been some other plot device that gets Obi there. Jango fight and asteroid chase should be exciting but are kind of dull and boring without some exciting of music, feels like watching a cutscene. Finding out the clone troopers are made from Boba Fett's father should be something cool but is just more information, instead of hyping up how they are based on the ultimate soldiers. 50's space diner, is this the Parallel Planetary Development Theory from Star Trek. Yoda ordering troops, the whole droid army sequence, and padme fighting should be exciting but just happen. Announcing the clone wars is just dumb, you don't know what time period you're in when you're in it. Or it's supposed to feel more like a documentary without needing musical cues to tell you how to feel, the whole showing Kaminoans and the clone facility is meant to be sterile and empty, without having to tell you it's a bad thing. There isn't a lot of telling you how you should feel like the sequel trilogy, it's supposed to be about showing not telling but what it is showing feels emotionless and empty a lot of the time. Just stuff happening. I don't feel anything from the Geonosian battle, there should be something compelling about being responsible for the Death Star. The banking clan introducing itself feels empty like who cares. Anakin loses an arm, who cares. It's not the same as Luke replacing his hand on Cloud City. Is everything supposed to feel dry and emotionless, or bleak, are we supposed to feel excited about these battles, are we watching historical footage and aren't supposed to feel one way or another. Something feels off compared to how the original trilogy places importance on what happens as the plot progresses. Here the plot progresses just to show more stuff.
That's the entire PT. Stuff happens, but everything is sterile and devoid of spark, soul and genuine human emotion. Everyone just goes through motions to tie everything up with the OT, no matter how moronic or contrived things get. The movies fail to make me give a shit.
I'm not sorry. I like the movie now for what it is but I'm not sorry I hated it. It is a bad movie. It is just also a good movie. I AM NOT SORRY!
>Series ranking:
1=2=3=4=5=6>7=8=9
>Order to watch:
1->4->2->5->3->6.

It's never too late to have a nice day.
It's no worse than the matte backgrounds in the OT.
I don't remember matte paintings in the OT cutting off people's noses and glitching. And they had proper lighting and shadows, too.
That glitch isn't visible when you watch the clip in motion.
Staircase glitching is very visible in motion. As is completely flat and poorly lit background with moronic perspective and depth.
It's still nowhere near as bad as the matte lines on the rancor or the the literal vaseline smear under Luke's speeder.
>bad no worse than good

This is the worst what big budget CGI had to offer in 2002 and to think that LOTR and Harry Potter movies came out at the same itme.
Go on then, we're waiting.

You are a moronic gorilla Black person.
Just because the sequels were a dumpster fire doesn't make the prequels any better.
Frick these disgusting reissue posters.
Disagree
They look like they'd be okay in a collector's set. Are they all gold like the original trilogy box set?

I have eyes you dumb Black person, that box art is gold.
Oh no. . .
Shit movie but best of the prequels
I often appreciate this movie if you know what I mean
For what? The movie isn’t very good, and new Star Wars movies also not being very good doesn’t change that
5=4=3>6>Rogue One>1>2
No other movies exist
I agree with everything here, except Rogue One also doesn't exist.
best prequel
Grow up, manchild. Stop spamming threads and start watching movies appropriate for your age.
Prequel gays are insufferable and most assuredly zoomers who didn’t even watch them in theaters.
>prequels
>zoomers
showing your age boomer
What's the exact purpose of doing this in every single Star Wars thread? Is it just autism?
this is what least deranged prequel fan looks like
i don't think George is going to apologize at this point

By kids you mean families, I can understand your confusion though. Families are mostly dead these days.
Kee-no-ah
Lots of cool ideas but the story is assy.

this is so ugly, daym
prequelgays are fricking embarrassing

people try so hard to deny that ROTS is the peak, what a shame.
The franchise isn't even good.
