I actually went into Knives Out expecting to hate it BECAUSE I hated The Last Jedi, but I was pleasantly surprised and really liked it (I still do). It does have a few dialogue issues as mentioned, but overall I thought it was an enjoyable updating of old detective murder mysteries. Then, sadly, I watched Glass Onion and realized that Knives Out was a fluke and that Rian Johnson actually just is moronic.
I don't know what to make of your post, I like a great variety of movies. The first one felt like an actual story, even if some parts were a little cartoonish in their presentation and of course it had trite references, but the second one was just trying too hard to be funny, to be smart and to different, I dislike movies that disregard their story and characters to be stupid or different.
>Is it actually worth checking out?
Yes it's pure Kino. Right wing culture war chuds just pretend to hate it because Rian Johnson assblasted them with The Last Jedi.
Imagine having this much disdain towards your fans and customers? Basically shitting on people that were just being excited about potential plot points and films.
This is par for the course for Rian though. It's a shame he deleted most of this Twitter archive from his "Film Twitter" days because he was a Grade A1 troll.
I thought it looked good, but it was about a Latina maid who vomits any time she lies, so wouldn't you know she's useful to the detective. The family she works for are evil white bigots so she inherits their house at the end and the cliffhanger is will she give it back??! Will she keep their house?? The big twist in the movie was that there was a knife hidden in a sculpture in the living room.
This movie was an allegory for America. Old rich boomer doesn't let any of his kids have a say in his possessions when he's on his last leg, and then leaves his descendents no inheritance and gives it to the poor Hispanic caretaker with bad parentage. Stripping the kids of their ancestral wealth for no reason. It shows why boomers and hispanics are bad.
I fricking hate Rian Johnson because I really like his style but then he slides in stupid fricking dialogue that winks to woketards and it just ruins the whole vibe.
I thought it was a fun bussy movie but a little to on the nose with the dialogue sometimes.

nope it’s bad because it’s dishonest and shallow
>dishonest
Low IQ term.
The rumors about Kevin Nash are unfounded.
It's enjoyable, the sequel however is shit, bottom of the barrel garbage.
i thought both were a chuds idea of reddit incarnate
what other films do you like?

I thought the sequel was in some way going to be related to the first one. The premise was not as interesting to make me want to watch it.
I haven't watched this because of Last Jedi kek. Is it actually worth checking out? I'm a fan of murder mysteries but idk.
Honestly, I didn't like TLJ or Looper at all, but all other Rian Johnson movies I watched were pretty entertaining. I think his problem is sci-fi.

Based. Frick Star Wars consoomers.
>Rianshill can only respond with buzzwords and entitlement
kek
I realize it sounds petulant, but he was probably actually pissed that people were thinking up something more than Big man sitting in chair
it is worth it
Never seen it, but that colorful ensemble aesthetic already turns me off. Reminds me of Wes Anderson.
Daniel Craig is really untalented
he's the only good part of these two shitty movies (apart from ana being cute)
test

It's the opposite of that.
Yes and?
>tfw not giving Rian the hate watch on his slop hurts him more than anything else
