Krakoa=Israel

Little late to the party but anyone else glad Krakoa’s over, mutants are absolutely insufferable and I can never get through any run because of how much smug politics and bullshit they get into and go on about how much hate and struggle they’ve endured
Only still readable character since Xavier got his legs back is Wolverine

It may be only Xavier left on Krakoa, but the storyline is still dragging on.

Hes gonna resurrect whoever matters and go back to the mansion there you go
Then we’ll get a new xmen series just crying about 6 million

Going back to the mid 2000s where they've tried to get the mutant numbers back to normal but they're spending all their time reeeing about how there used to be millions of them would be as bad as leaving the status quo as it is now. When things go back to normal they need to never mention any of this again, and just accept the new-old status quo unquestioningly. Also, the villains all need to remain villains, who the X-Men do not and will not side with nor work with. And that includes Magneto, Emma, Mystique, Maddie, and all the others.

Honestly idk what direction it’s going but they absolutely need to make the villains villains again, what has magneto done in krakoa besides be xaviers yesman and why was mystique on the quiet council shes moronic

The problem is the last time a writer tried to make Magneto and Emma villains, fandom chimped out, even here, and Marvel just ignored it ever happened.

Mystique is at least treated more like a villain, but the narrative also acts like we should be invested in her romance with Destiny and want them to succeed despite being awful villains.

My big hope is that the Sinister Dominion is actually Destiny, and that she's been manipulating Mystique all along to engineer her ascension.

          >Emma
Emma has spent more time as an X-Man than not, and she's one of the first instances in comics where a villain becoming a hero worked out well. Probably because her own creator made the change.
You don't make your super villain's big lifelong aspiration "I want to be a teacher and help mutants" if you plan on keeping her evil forever.

      This one?

Krakoa is over? How did Marvel end it?

It's not over yet, but everyone except Xavier fled the island. Instead of years of the mutants' own actions being exposed and coming back to bite them, their enemies staged false flag attacks to trick the world into hating them, then Nimrod attacked this year's gala and wiped out the new X-Men squad. Most of the population of Krakoa fled through a portal and are lost wandering in a desert somewhere, but everyone left on Earth thinks they're dead, giving them the excuse they'd been waiting for to finally ape out and start killing anyone they feel like killing.

That seems lazy for Nimrod to just go to the one place that conveniently has all the world's mutants on it

It's been about 20 years since we hit a point where "suddenly Nimrod showed up and killed all the mutants. The End" would have been a valid and deserved ending to X-Men comics, and they just kept going anyway.

Righteous teleported them into The White Room.

I remember when all of this started people were sure "Xavier" had to be a fake due to how evil he was. Krakoa-era X-men is just the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants treated as protagonists.

Honestly with the constant gramdstanding Magneto did at Israel and Kitty going murderhobo at the Jerusalem Krakos gate. We might as well have Krakoa terraform Israel like Terra Verde and now the remaining israelites get reamed by Mutants while Emma plays the 16 Million card against the israelites and Mags/Kitty shit themselves trying to play the 6 Million card to no avail because Exodus says Mutants are the real israelites like a black hebrew israelite. Call it the War of [X]ionists where we see who can outisraelite who for their new promised land/chosen people card.

Make sense. Krakoa is just as bad as those they claim to hate and commit war crimes on the daily.

I stopped reading after Myatique and Destiny unmasked and chased Moria but failed to kill her.
Did they ever caught her or something?
