If it airs in FranceTV like usual it will at least maybe have SDH to make it easier to sub unlike Lance Dur. Translating a series purely by ear and manually setting the timing for the subs must be pure pain.
We're also getting the Oropo special first, wonder where they're planning to air that one
Pretty sure it will air on FranceTV and there won't be any other way to watch it for multiple months and anyone outside France will be a second thought if even that. Similiar to how Season 3 released.
That's also in part Netflix's fault, they rarely have simulcasts. It's a bit more common now, but still they usually wait for an anime to finish airing in Japan and then release it all at once.
Is it honestly worth watching? I feel like Lance Dur is something Ankama had to get out to fullfill some contract.
Pretty good so far, but it's hard to judge when so little is available yet. Only thing I can say right now is that for once Ankama wasn't lying about making the series more "adult" as they included an actual sex scene

This making-of video for Lance Dur also has some Wakfu season 4 stuff in it, and recently I've realized there's a pretty big spoiler, although barely readable.
When zooming into the character in this frame you can kind of read "Efrim", the name of one of the eliatrope dragons. Considering that Tot recently confirmed in an interview that necromes are involved, and that the Dofus manga also recently mentioned that the Eliatrope goddess is trapped in the Necroworld, this is almost definitely a Necrome Efrim.

What? No, the reason we didn't get Dofus Book 2 is because Book 1 was a massive box office failure and they were unable to get any funding for more

Not a success, but not as big of a failure. Still doesn't change the fact that the reason why Dofus Book 2 isn't being made is because they lack funding, which they did get for Princesse Dragon from all those names at the bottom of that earlier poster.
They did also want to make a "Princess" trilogy, we'll see if all the prizes Princesse Dragon got will be enough to get the funding for those or if that project will get canned too

A few months ago Masahiko Kubo, a former employee of Ankama Japan, shared some of his work for the original "Welsh and Shedar" Dofus anime that was cancelled around fifteen years ago.
Masaaki Yuasa and Eunyoung Choi were going to work on the series, the script had been written and the whole first episode storyboarded, but it was sadly not greenlit by FranceTV and Ankama soon after closed down Ankama Japan due to an inability for the french and japanese branches to work together (with Ankama Japan ignoring Ankama's design decisions and for instance changing Ogrest's colour to green, amongst other things). Yuasa and Choi later founded Science Saru employing many of their Ankama Japan co-workers.
