>Ellie sees apparition of the murderer woman in a mirror where she had only previously been able to see her mother who she holds in high esteem >Ellie displays remarkable empathy for killer's motives prior to finale
This is not hard to figure out.
To add to this, Ellie is already the cause of the death of the vice cop who harassed the prostitute during her prostitute days and she was completely indifferent to the possible death of the love interest. She was already a psychopath.
It starts out good but loses steam in the middle third, then completely jumps the shark at the end. Not worth the watch unless you're gettin your knob jobbed
I was disappointed in the film ultimately, it had style but it seemed like he had a cool premise with no idea where to go with it, and it just fell apart in the second half in a way that sort of made the previous half nearly pointless. It also had very spotty writing for the supporting cast who were basically cardboard cutouts.
The whole switching actresses thing was cool and well done, but in the end it sort of meant nothing. There was a few bits in the film where characters seemed to hear Thomasin in the past, and I thought it was going to lead to the two time periods starting to cross over. But then they turn out to solely be flashbacks with a pretty mundane explanation and climax.
The "love interest" was so poorly and thinly written I actually thought it was setting him up to be a villain . He basically had zero character traits other than following Thomasin around being creepily simpy. Like literally his introductory scene when he's just a dude on the street and she's a complete stranger, he's already just simping and being weirdly overconcerned for someone he doesn't know.
A movie perfectly designed for women from a plot standpoint, but with enough eye candy to look at for men. Really damn well done movie from a product standpoint. Every woman wants to see themselves as an innocent Eloise with a secret wild Sadie side, they all think they're bullied by girls like Jacosta, and every woman wants to brutally murder every man she's ever had sex with, even consensually, that didn't read her mind and give her what she imagined she was due to receive for having sex with whoever it was (a marriage, a baby, a relationship, a promotion, whatever). It was incredible how much it tapped into female psychology.
I'm pretty sure it was intended that their time periods would intersect in the film more because I remember seeing a trailer with the main character tearing wallpaper off and finding a note from the other girl or maybe one of her victims
yeah the second half especially the third act didn't seem like it fit what was being set up
why was there a scene of her yelling at Matt Smith and him turning like he heard her?
They were definitely going with the idea that she had the ability to see the dead. Her mom had the same ability and presumably it got worse over time to the extent that the mom killed herself. The shock of going to London and the psychic residue of the room she was staying in was going to awaken Thomasin's powers more. That was all on track. Whatever was going to happen next presumably in some way happened to her mom and it was traumatic enough that she felt she had to kill herself. I think they realized that they had to do the movie from that point on the way they did or they would have had to make it way darker than they intended or they would have got roped into a time travel movie that they didn't want it to ultimately end up being.
The love interest was a turn off. Hated every seen that guy was in. It quickly fell apart in the third act and had to fast forward to finish it. Only finished it for my waifu thomasin.
The first flashback scene is nice but that's about it >every twist is fricking painfully obvious >main girl has some effeminate black dude constantly simping for her >is essentially white men bad: the movie >Women are not to blame for prostituting themselves.
>sheltered country girl moves to the big city to study fashion >rents a room in a creepy house >starts reliving memories of a woman in the 50/60s >the woman is a singer/prostitute who gets used by evil white men
Its as uninteresting as it is uninspired. Save yourself 2 hours of your life.
is that the i pooped my pants guy?
I will post the relevant parts.
Tiddies!
yeah if you want a movie about how all white men are creepy groomers and the one black kid in london will be nice to you sure
>adult man trying to frick adult woman
>grooming
Pick one
It's better than Scott Pilgrim so if you like Edgar Wright fricking go for it.
Assuming I don't get ten "muh embedded file!" bullshits in a row
Anything with Anya is required watching on this board.
Yeah I liked it
Kinda boring, predicted the twist at the end.
Already got one incidentally
boingaboingaboinga
yes! kino with great filmography and a frighteningly misunderstood ending
Ellie becomes an evil killer at the end
>misunderstood
>Ellie sees apparition of the murderer woman in a mirror where she had only previously been able to see her mother who she holds in high esteem

I hate that guy, his face looks fake, I'm pretty sure he's a lizardperson
HAVE SEX
That's two.
Immaculate
For some reason I truly hate the whole "le quirky creative girl".
style over substance but a fun watch overall, it falls apart hard in the second half
It starts out good but loses steam in the middle third, then completely jumps the shark at the end. Not worth the watch unless you're gettin your knob jobbed

Thomasin and Anya were stunning in it however.
and here I thought it was all cgi, props to Edgar
Dishonest filmmaking.
moron

BOOBA
mmm

She cute

>simping for mudshark
Sad.
It felt like a film I wouldve been absolutely obsessed with as a preteen but something that's only ok to watch as an adult.
The first flashback scene is nice but that's about it

Eh it was okay, worth it for the eye candy if you care about that at all
thomasin sex
She doesn't have sex in the movie
>they didn't have a scene of Anya having sex and swapping in and out with Thomasin
meh movie. baby driver was better
Nope.
It was kinda interesting but it jumps the shark toward the end.
No it's not.
Is that all that happens?
they frick back in her room
she better not get blacked
She does
I mean actual sex, a kiss isn't blacked
she gets railed
Boring zoomer cast tbh. This new generation has no charisma or personality.
If you like nogs. And homosexual ones too.
Seeing Thomasin be thrust into by the ugliest Black they could find felt personal
Pits
SJW garbage. Avoid.
mmmmmmmmm
Zoomers will coom over her but she is literally insane and dysgenic. You should be running as far away from women like here as possible.
ThomASSin
It's worth for watching McKenzie play a schizo. However it is also almost unwatchable because of that obnoxious alien, so it's a tough one
Those two are not attractive people to me.
ATJ does some cute dance moves in it. sure.
Nooooooo. It's bad, also, I dont think Thomasin can act.
The movie is about deception.
You will watch it for Anya, but you will actually enjoy it for Thomasin because she is the superior waifu.
