The lightning element as superficial anyways.
What's more problematic is the character motivations.
The kid is taken over by the spirit. But it's never established as a bad spirit. It's not any more aggressive or destructive than the girl that incited it in the first place.
It's like an internet moderator from a 3rd World Country that lacks human-rights and believes attitude is content to be moderated.
They don't moderate themselves to the same standard as everyone else because they wield privilege as an exemption and don't see that as corruption.
I suspect there was more to the one character's "grounding" technique. I mean, you ground electricity. It's too obvious to be a missed opportunity.
It must be a remnant of an original idea that was distorted by mindless revisions and/or demands of inattentive executives.
I like the action and animation, but god, is like cartoonist cant think of any other archetype for female MCs that is not, "hot heat dumb brawler", also the mustache guy was marco diaz/guss number 781101, the only character i care or find funny was the villan. (Not the brown boy but the actual monster)
Will never see the light of day in it's current format. Even with bean mouth adjacent style, excessive animation is too costly, especially if you can't sell toys.
>Animation studio goes all out in a spectacle only afforded simply because pilots need to be attention grabbing >End up just apeing TV grade anime
Sad.
This is more OK KO than Steven Universe, control your hate boner for just a minute.
I don't get why there's so many college animator lead shows that seem to try and fill this weird niche where everything looks like they belong in a kiddy show, but it also wants to have identity as an action show.
By the time a kid thinks that villain character is appealing, they are already familiar with shit like My Hero Academia and Demon Slayer.
Kids younger than that just want silly comedies like Bad Guys and Dogman. Adventure Time did not leave a niche that is waiting to be filled. It was a product of it's time.
People want to work on action shows, but those have been more or less driven extinct by execs because nobody can sell toys anymore except with mascot horror, surprisingly. So all that's left is to try and edge baby shows meant for babies into being sort of action-orientated. TMNT and Avatar are the only real action driven western animated properties that still exist and both are holdovers from a time that was much kinder to that genre of cartoon that have struggled to stay relevant as of late.

>HAHA LOOK WE WATCHED ANIME >REMEMBER GURREN LAGAN?! >LOOK WE'RE PLAYING THE THEME REALLY LOUD OVER THE ACTION >LOOK SCRATCHY SPEED LINES SO YOU KNOW IT'S A SERIOUS MOMENT!! >ARE WE COOL NOW?!
Lightning Demon's design was cool, but the rest of it, even the parts that are nicely animated, reek of trying way too hard and not having a good sense of identity. Like they want to play light and sloppy like a stupid cartoon, but also want you to think they are cool and serious like an action anime playing itself 100% seriously, and that just doesn't work when they're doing a bean-mouth/calarts/slop art style.
By the looks of it, it's going to have a lot of threads and fanart. Don't try to empty the ocean with a spoon.
>By the looks of it, it's going to have a lot of threads and fanart. By the looks of what? Are you psychic or something homosexual, cause this is the only place I'm seeing any discussion.

The main character is physically strong girl with body size changing proportions and glasses
Secondary protagonist is a kind of whimpy worry wart.
Smug anti hero or third protag gets possessed by some object with no explanation.
It goes by pretty quick with no chance to breath or really introduce any of the characters. It kind of expects the viewer to know what everything is. Reminds me of mighty magiswords.
An explanation would have been great in the beginning.
Also >That kamina reference from gurren laggan >That steven universe reference >That one impact frame scene
It's hard to care about a pilot or characters when we don't know any of the characters, the motivation, or why they want to get that one amulet back.
4/10 would watch on cartoon network when I'm bored.
assuming you're the OP of the last thread reposting this because you didn't get enough attention last time can you actually leak something new and interesting or is this all you got
What is it with Americans and ONLY copying the surface level shit of anime like the Sfx, the weirdly dramatized dialogue, and the exaggerated character designs with none of the reasons behind those decisions.(believe it or not, a lot manga is written to have weirdly dramatic dialogue as opposed to natural Japanese speech, whereas American cartoons seem to focus on “natural” speech)
I don't understand why they still make pseudo-anime when the real thing is easily accessible, in some cases more accessible than regular cartoons. it just make it feel like a bunch of college age kids patting each other on the back for referencing anime approved in their social circle.
Shit like Teen Titans and Totally Spies made some sense back when a kid wasn't getting direct feed from the internet at high speeds from their pocket, and you had to ask your big brother for help to even get out of order 480P Digimon episodes off Limewire.
Now if a kid wants anime it's literally easier for them to find than something that airs on Cartoon Network or Disney or whatever.
Just make CARTOONS. Play to your strengths, don't make a pretender to something that has a huge head-start.
They want to make something that feels like anime, but isn't anime, because anime is cringe and stupid and problematic and doesn't have enough queer characters who espouse the right kind of queerness to appease their Californian sensibilities.. and it always turns into some abortion of a cartoon where they constantly feel the need to try and prove how irreverent and wacky they are, in between doing some frame-for-frame trace job of a famous anime fight scene so they can score some stale weeb clout.
They feel a need to compete. I can understand how embarrassing it could be for one country's whole animation industry to be utterly blown out by another's in every way.
The characters are really bad. The main girl is a wienery brat and abuses her magical powers making her unlikable. Her design is also uncool as frick. The shitty glasses beady eye shit is so lame. Character wise the mustache one is fine but they gave him this shitty voice making him a joke. The main conflict is also kind of ass in the episode itself. The spirit should have taken over actively. This would show some risk to the magic system. Instead some moronic kid broke the rules and got fricked. If they wanted to copy anime atleast do it right Jesus Christ.
It's definitely missing something. I don't know if they need a third character or to overhaul the main girl. The world seems interesting, the animation was solid, even some of the designs are good (You can do a TON of fun shit with the stage magician aesthetic) but something is just not connecting.
It's named TAG Team! Legends Of The Ring that for whatever reason was kept locked in a vault. Rumor has it that CN passed on it in favor of Invincible Fight Girl.
That's a really bad name. It will make wrestling fans angry it has nothing to do with wrestling and the other 99% of people avoid it for being a mucha lucha reboot

There were like 3 seconds of good animation and not even all at the same time. Is it really that hard to have all your designs be at least as good as the antagonist in this episode? I'm not the kind of person who crabs on creators or shits on people for fun or anything, but I'm getting exhausted by these. The effects were better animated than the characters. Characters are the focal points of cartoons i am going insane please >captcha:MRKAK
>POC with lightning powers
how original.

Every character has a lisp. What the frick
I like the action and animation, but god, is like cartoonist cant think of any other archetype for female MCs that is not, "hot heat dumb brawler", also the mustache guy was marco diaz/guss number 781101, the only character i care or find funny was the villan. Well animated but the characters are kinda lame
>Kinda
the mustache guy has a funny voice
>Only make the villain look like an anime character
>Make the heroes look like stupid SU townies
The kids will love this!
Will never see the light of day in it's current format. Even with bean mouth adjacent style, excessive animation is too costly, especially if you can't sell toys.
anime has broke cartoonists forever
>Animation studio goes all out in a spectacle only afforded simply because pilots need to be attention grabbing

Sad.
yup utterly soulless slop, steven universe and its consequences
This is more OK KO than Steven Universe, control your hate boner for just a minute.

>TV grade anime
Dude, you're not making the argument you think you are.

What's with blacks and lightning powers? It's like they think it's the most overpowered shit when just b***h basic rubber can beat them.
Every black heroes is an expy of black lightning, kind like how almost every white hero is a flying brickhouse but not really
Muslims/arabs get wind/sand powers
There is Dust and Rashid from SFV but what other arabs have wind/sand powers
sand benders from ATLA look like arabs
It was meh.

That was severely boring. Is "blatantly copying shit I grew up on as a nerdy 90s kid" all these people can really do?
This is so generic. Disney will pick this up for a season
Disney wants "funny haha" shows as a priority while the lore anime inspired shows being a side thing...
I know it's rough, but uhh.. what the frick is this writing? Better sound design and mixing wouldn't unfrick this.
>another bland, dollar-store shonen wannabe
How original.
By the looks of it, it's going to have a lot of threads and fanart. Don't try to empty the ocean with a spoon.

I remember wishing that cartoons would be more like anime when I was a kid.
You fool! You doomed as all!!

Feels like what CN's Fight Girl is gonna look like.
That's still happening? Surprised it didn't get shitcanned
Call me when you've got MK Ultra Girls
Even more hideious americanime than what we usually get.
If I wanted to watch anime I'd just watch anime.
I feel bad for whoever lost their job leaking this
Why? They clearly don't give a shit it.
assuming you're the OP of the last thread reposting this because you didn't get enough attention last time can you actually leak something new and interesting or is this all you got
What's wrong with cartoons wanting to be like shonen anime?
>we have rosa at home
>me right now
Is this an indie thing or from a Hollywood studio?
What is it with Americans and ONLY copying the surface level shit of anime like the Sfx, the weirdly dramatized dialogue, and the exaggerated character designs with none of the reasons behind those decisions.(believe it or not, a lot manga is written to have weirdly dramatic dialogue as opposed to natural Japanese speech, whereas American cartoons seem to focus on “natural” speech)
it looks cool
I bet you 5 bucks that the creator is black or mexican.
Which anime do you wish people copied?
Looks like shit.
>LEAKED
PLZ 4CHUDS WATCH MY ANIMATION CARTOON
OKKO but with TTGL references up the ass?
Something about it feels off and awkward, unsure it it’s the writing or voice acting
Also DAMN the background music is loud
The animation is nice tho
You got the China Il pilot?
I regret not saving it
The buff bad guy looks like a OC from a twitter porn account

Well that was a thing that exists I suppose.
It doesn't even have a title? What even is this?
It's named TAG Team! Legends Of The Ring that for whatever reason was kept locked in a vault. Rumor has it that CN passed on it in favor of Invincible Fight Girl.
out of all the things to leak this is the last thig that should have been leaked, I would prefer MK Ultra Girls or the pibby pilot
