it was a meme used against people who were complaining about outsourcing of industrial jobs in America. It then got turned around, and used against journalists when their industry experienced a mass layoff.

I get paid 0.6$ per 1000 views on my youtube channel. It sucks being kind of a third worlder (low tier yurocountry). I wish my parents would have taken me to a good private school. Thus I would be able to speak Englisb without an accent and I'd be making a shitton of money with my channel

I've seen even the most atrocious heavy indian accents get hundreds of thousands views and I watched their videos despite the accent. Content is king. If you produce good content that takes the viewer in, you get views. Recently a dude who's been working on Dragon Ball animated fight got from 11k to millions of views with just good video.

Learn to write compelling scripts, have good audio. If you aren't getting views it's because your content is shit.

      Sry esl

In my opinion "hardwork" is good but you cannot overdo it
You have to pace your willpower levels and be patient for results

If you try to become fit , confident, get your shit together by sheer willpower in a relatively short amount of time, compared to what you ve been doing your whole life

You all kinda get there but you ll be at your wits end you won't find it enjoyable and your willpower will drain and then you ll "abondon" your efforts and feel like a total failure even more.

Changing with hardwork takes pacing and patience for it to work and not feel like a chore, like a Tug of war game
You need to pull sometime to just hold, sometimes you can give up some ground to recuperate

I feel like people want too much to be this willpower mythical legend who just one day becomes a different person, and this philosophy is detrimental for most people , because a normal person will fail and give up multiple times
      It's part of the process

So just get back on the horse at your own rythm and stop ruminating on this first failure which is probably only the first of many AND ITS A GOOD THING

Link to my blog coming soon 😉

Where did you learn to code? What language?

      Anonymous

I'm not OP but I'd personally advocate taking an Intro to programming class at a community college, and then their Data Structures and Algorithms class.
Most likely it would be in Python, but around here they also offer them in C++/Java.
There's also the possible WebDev/Javascript route which is much easier money apparently but I didn't do that.

If you have the self-discipline you can try teaching yourself this Systems programming stuff in Python/Java/C++/whatever and build up your own portfolio/resume. Or go the Webdev route and do the same which has a million resources. Check the cscareerquestions rebbit

Basically you learn to code, make some projects, study DS&A to the Technical Interview Questions(look up leetcode) and apply for work once your interview question competency is decent.

        Anonymous

Thanks, I'm probably gonna attempt the self discipline route because I don't want to go to college.

Look one up, get online classes, or go there yourself, and take their Computer Science 101. they'll assume you know nothing.

If you wanna do it yourself I guess go here and read.

No. My friends studied English literature and business majors in school and came to me at 25 and jokingly asked me if they could code and work a software job. I told them to just start, a software development book and some vids... They ended up doing a software development boot camp for 3 months and both have been employed within a year of that conversation so never too late. My sister has a bsc in communication engineering, at 28 she took masters in software engineering and basically also became a code Black person
I left software tho it's mainly for Black folk and everyone in it is some different breed of being fricking moronic and cringe... Switched to something in Electrical engineering instead and life's okay

Lol this is exactly why Software developer and IT in general is going to remain a highly volatile industry with no job security except for the top 5% that get into niche/managerial areas. Programming is really not as hard as people like pretending it is, and the barrier to entry is so low any moron with an English degree can break in. You are always at risk of being canned, either because your projects gone bust or they've found a younger more desperate person willing to do your job for half the salary.

Experience in this industry actually counts as a negative, you stick around working on one thing for too long and you find yourself becoming obsolete. Not to mention the industry moves so fast you better be studying all the time to keep up with the change. Your prime years are 24-35, post that if you haven't successfully broken into management or a niche/SME type area you're on the clock.

It's why I chose Finance after 2 years in texh and I'm never going back. Tech is in for a massive crash.

This reads like cope from someone who didn't get through round 1 of his FANG interviews

                Anonymous

It's not though. People are so hung up on green as grass grads getting 200k straight out of school they forget that majority of the developers in Europe/third world nations and even America earn shit to slightly above average for a mentally lobotomising tier job. Outside of FAANG a few other tech companies and some banks/hedge funds nobody's paying 6 figures for the job cause it's really not as critical to a company's survival comparatively.

Also nobody really asks why these grads get that level of pay. Who in their right mind is paying 200k for a moronic graduate who's not even had a year's worth of industry experience outside of a 4-8 month internship in which they did jackshit?

The answer is age. They want young morons that still have some neuroplasticity remaining in their brains so that they can brainwash them into writing code in a very specific rigid pattern for a couple years before kicking them out. The jobs not easy, you're expected to keep learning all the time to remain relevant and sooner or later a younger hotshots going to come along to kick you out of your position of you haven't moved up yet.

With the massive influx of supply these companies will only get more ridiculous in their requirements and exploitative in their practices. What other industry demands you study moronic puzzles that are of 0 use in your actual work for hours a day to bag a 150k job?

Better stick to a more traditional environment where slogging in the start actually grants you the rewards you deserve 10 years later in terms of experience and salary instead of one where you reach your max potential 4 years out of college then burn out completely before becoming useless cause you cant keep up with the insane pace of the industry and the 300 autistic gunning for your spot.

                Anonymous

You're truly a moron, and you either flunked out of your degree or got fired for being a brainlet and are now coping hard about it. Companies will suck your dick to stay, you are infinitely more valuable after you worked there for 1-2 years than when you just started and they are actively fighting to keep you because you get recruiters left and right gunning for you.

I work at a high tier company now, and it's competitive and you might've gotten filtered by that, but that doesn't change the fact that there's a billion other jobs that will actively suck up to you to get you working for them if you have even 1 year of experience. You're also insanely misinformed about the payment dream, in Europe the IT sector is on the upswing and the median pay is steadily rising. I started off in Denmark before moving to the states and people with my degree are now sitting head-to-head with doctor's in starting pay wages, it's a top tier job, and every company is expanding their IT branch.

I speak from experience moron. I worked for a fortune 500 company and I thankfully had the foresight you lack, the jobs you talk about sucking your dick will pay you half of what you earned in FAANG, and to stay and FAANG you cannot settle, you have to keep moving.

You're easily replaceble and too much of a moron to know it. I've seen non-sciencd majors get into companies and perform equally if not better than the existing CS devs. And guess who gets laid off when the company gets less than projected quaterly growth? Oh right, it's the Dev's cause the dumbass project they work on gets shelfed or becomes a non-priority and then don't need the dead weight anymore.

Whatever, enjoy your money now cause you're not going to make it too long in your position. Finance is the best choice I made, and combined with my tech skills I'm going to be making major bank at 40. You on the other hand will become an obsolete moron cause manipulating templates/widgets and writing brain-dead janky code that fricks up 20 things when it gets pushed to production isn't really a very productive job lol.

                Anonymous

What tech skills? So far nothing you said have been remotely true, and there's 0% chance you're more than a freelancer who got mad because high tier companies don't hire just because you made websites for your mommy in high school. Unlike you some people are actually capable, know how to function in a company and how to build a career long term, so have fun coping for the rest of your life, brainlet. The only true thing you've admitted to was that you weren't cut out for the industry

I can smell the fear and insecurity from all the way here. Not my fault you're all disposable morons, you're probably a self taught codemonkey still trying to break in and deathly afraid of your only marketable skills being useless.

Only 10% of programmers will actually remain and flourish in the industry, you and other worthless codemonkeys will get churned out by younger more desperate codemonkeys willing to work for even lesser. Know your place trash.

depends. on that rebbit page you'll read about people pulling miracles going from zero and getting work in 3 months. 12-week Coding boot camps exist so you could theoretically teach yourself all that stuff and get a job in around that time. Really I think the most realistic gauge is knowing what kind of project using which specific tools you can make on your own (website, game, app, etc)
And even then interviews test mostly coding competency which you can reach before ever making any decent project at all.

there's links there to minmaxing your resume too. they're important because robots have a big say in whether your application will get you an interview at all.

post this all the time. girls want picrel. they want a guy to be sexy and you're born with it. after that they dont care. they will cheat on chad with this guy because hes a meme to them.
the problem is you're projecting what you want onto women and just switching biology. they want to be taken away and loved. they have zero interest in loving a guy. they want soulful eyes loving them from a handsome face. they want to be shorter than the guy and they want him to be hard so they feel their softness more. they are society's battleground and society is sick. you cant go by what they say.
and they're with fat guys cuz the fat guys love them. sexually they fantasize about abstractions

I did for a year + a diet. Literally nothing. Had to force myself through it every single time. Enjoyed none of it. Sure lost some weight and got some muscle, but didn't felt any better after a year.
Forcing myself and enduring pain for hours every day just so i can lift more, do more push ups/pull ups and run farther, which i very rarely need in my regular life. What's the point?
You frickers claimed that it will feel good after some time, but it doesn't. And it changes nothing.
It's a fricking hobby and nothing else - if you don't like it you won't start enjoying it after forcing yourself for thousands of times.

You might have hormonal imbalance, maybe your thyroid is slow. Seriously. Maybe a simple vitamin deficiency, hard to tell which one if that's the case but usual suspects are D3, B12, magnesium, zinc, and if you don't eat meat, iron. Maybe you don't sleep well, or even have sleep apnea. Get a blood test, download some app to monitor your sleep. Cardio gives people relief and improves cognition unless they have neurochemical issue.

There’s going to be huge demand for experienced pilots in a few years too, even more than now. Major time and money commitment for the first 3-4 years, but then you’re golden. Boomers terrify me because literally any group of people could have ended up like that. They have been blasted with chemicals since birth while their media consumption and extreme economic luck had a profound effect on how myopically they view the world. Gen X is spiteful, millennials are hopeless, and zoomers are hedonistic. Each one of them has a better understanding of their enslavement than the average boomer.

Alluded to before, but the boomer's diet is also really interesting. They eat out constantly and only get snacks or premade meals when grocery shopping. Like homie scramble an egg what is wrong with you? I don't know why this is so common among them.

fitness hasn't helped me at all
I hate working out, all it added was an hour of stress to my day
and deep insecurity that comes from the fact that I've been working out for 7 years and people still comment on me saying I look like I don't lift, being skinny fat and all

all fitness is to me is just ruining my day, I hate working out, I hate time leading up to it because I feel bad knowing I have to do something I dislike doing for an hour and then I feel bad doing it because it's boring and unpleasant and then I feel bad afterwards because I know I have to do it the next day or the day after
it feels so bad and no one even admires you for working out if you don't have the muscles to back it up, I don't understand where I'm supposed to get confidence from the fact I put down a heavy thing and pick it up over and over and get nothing out of it, it just takes up time and makes me feel bad before during and afterwards, no change in my looks whatsoever

It's so tiring, I feel bad all the time, I'm tired physically and mentally from all of it. I don't want to do it anymore I hate doing it and I hate that the entire world forces me into it and I get nothing but more pain and more stress and nothing in return, I just feel awful and worse and worse because of it I dont want to do it anymore I dont want to do it anymore but I have to and I hate it I fricking hate lifting so fricking much I dont want to do this shit anymore

Fitness in general is very boring. It's a repetetive grind. You need to have a consistent exercise plan which you enjoy to do every day. You have to lots of protein and fiber (wholegrain) carbs in every meal. Cut down every sugary drink and alcohol, also preferably cafeine too (dehydration leads to eating more).

Once it becomes a routine in your life, it gets better. You need to find the exercise that you love to do for every day..

I do jogging and pushups every day: 10 min morning jog and 100 pushups afterwards.

Fitness is a distraction from real goals. You should work out to be healthy and if you take a run often enough you'll feel way better, but the moment you start being a gay who eats protein powder and can't handle eating anything but chicken you're losing 5 years of your life when you should be concentrating on fixing your shit career so you have an inheritance for your kids.

If that is how you honestly feel and aren't just saying that because it sounds nice, then fair enough. Yeah but you can replace raising kids in your sentence by pretty much anything like having a job or being in a relationship or whatever and you’d get your average npc’s mindset. Some people do things without wondering why they bother, and end up doing things they don’t like or could avoid “just because”. It’s not exclusive to kids.

some in this thread are addressing NEETs (arthur fleck was not even a NEET, his situation was totally different. he had a job as a clown, he could pick himself up)

one thing people never tell you (and normies like to ignore when they shit on the homeless, indigent, etc.) is that employment gaps and trash or nonexistent credit are basically on the same level as sex offender. it doesn't matter how hard you fricking study, how epic your coding is, how smart you are, if you have a few years of no employment it's fricking over, you might was well be a convicted pedo to HR. stack on top of that the fact that people check for credit now for everything too.

it wasn't like this 100 years ago, you could skip town and find a job with a handshake the next city over. and people wonder why NEETs like me won't get off the autismbux, there's zero fricking point. the only job i could get with my pedophile/felon tier reputation as a NEET with a massive employment gap, even if i got a degree, is at a gas station, and frick that because 1) i'd rather kill myself and 2) i make more from autismbux lol. there's no future in such a thing. you will live your entire life miserable and with no future.

we live in the era of the electronic leash, from the smartphone to the credit reporting agencies to minor crimes that now never go away. my hot take is that this, more than anything, is why men are so cucked now. the technocracy has invaded every aspect of our lives and if you don't stick with the program entirely for 100% of the run, you are deemed a cancer and excised before you ever have a chance to improve. at this point i think my life would literally be better if i lived in the late 19th century as a fricking chimney sweep lol, then i'd have a job. people now have NOWHERE to go.

Society hasn't changed, except that it breeds entitled people like you who can't understand that every person through the history experienced hardships, but you are just deciding to give up because you're lazy. if wanting a shred of dignity in my life is "entitled" then i will be entitled, i refuse to serve the techBlack folk etc. who make all the money and then come to le petrol mart to look down on me. i'd rather detonate the vest. incel shooters are more respectable than wage slaves, at that point you might as well just strap on the swords and guns and scream ALLAHU AKBAR

Nope, you're wrong and have it backwards. You have no dignity because you won't take a bad job. You complain about jobs, but don't understand that even a gas station job will help your social skills and is way better than nothing if you wanted to change jobs later to something better.

I'm not saying it's smart to give up on everything, but really, the avenue of mainstream professional employment seems closed to me and many people. why shouldn't young males just go out and rob and steal and riot, half the country is disenfranchised. this is before you even get to Black folk and other people. this country is fricked. burn it all down who cares

the bottom half of this country is worth less than $1k

if you are good enough at coding, have impressive projects that are not tutorial bullshit that everyone has seen a million times, and you can pass the basic personality testing, then you absolutely can get a job even if you have been out of the workforce for a long time. You severely underestimate the power of charisma. And being a whiny homosexual like you is a sure way to erode any charisma you may have.

      This neet gets it

Youre right about technology such as digital especially like smartphones are designed to enslave people, to create a techno feudal class, thats what digital technologies are essentiallu for, of coursethe creators dont say that because that wouldnt be PC, we are seeing the creation of modern slaves, a whole generation are becoming more and more conformist and thaught not to think for themselves, the differnce now than a 100 years ago is that you wasnt survailed constantly and there existed no dominant degenerate culture,

Life was better and simpler back then, now you are forced to strap a phone to you and keep track of all apps, always be available, always sell yourself, if youre not on social media that already causes depression, you dont exist, if arent up to speed with the latest trend nobody cares, life just consists of waging and consuming, and we are supposed to be happy with that, also women have become way worse today,

When life is this lifeless and bland, why should you put in an effort?

I learned to code and I have been working out.
I'm still a miserable sperg but I make good money while doing pretty much nothing and I'm fricking ripped.

This learn to code meme only works for first worlders right? I doubt it would do anyone living in a shithole any good.

I hate learning to code. The lack of objectivity drives me nuts. When you solve a problem but have no way of knowing if it's the proper or optimal way it's a horrible feeling.

    >Learn to code

Literally started doing this a month ago. I decided to start with Python. I'm 28 years old, very ugly, no job, no friends, and live with my parents. I'm considering this my final shot. I'm actually really enjoying it so far, but I know without a degree I'm essentially fricked. All I want is to freelance and make at least $13k a year coding, but even that is too much to expect. It's pretty much over.

Nah bruh. Just keep coding. Get some certifications if you can to put on your resume. If you show you're actively improving your coding skills, then you'll get an offer eventually.
I also recommend not being fully autistic when going into interviews though. Try to be at least basic sociable. Remember, most of the time you're trying to impress some c**t HR rep.

LMAOING at all you itt. I work at FAANG, make good money, have a wife and now a child, I hate everything and unironically want to die.
NOTHING will change that shitty feeling that started brewing back when you were ten.
I lift, run, have sex, swim, go to massage parlor, have haircuts and masks regularly, wear good clothes, drink beer, play games, play tennis, go out with my wife and daughter, work, slack off. Nothing, literally nothing brings me to any emotion outside of this fricking site with dumb shitposts that for some reason are really funny. I don't know, at this point I feel like I am headed for a big self-destruction. I give absolutely zero shit about my work and the pressure that I have to keep going to provide for family, I feel it piling up in my mind. I wish I never applied back in 2018 and still was a neet who played heartstone all day

Now that I think about it maybe I am unironically mentally ill, but the problem is I don't think so. I am absolutely a usual person. I used to be whiny back when I was a child but that's about it. Outside of that I am absolutely like everyone else around me

I worked at FAANG, saved up some money, then went for a more mellow job. The pay is decent still, not as much as FAANG but still high up there. The stress is a lot less, it's a lot more chill.
I spend my money on frivolous things since I don't have a family. I'd like to have one but I'm hideous I guess.

Instead I spend my money on gacha games (getting them anime waifus) and hiring high-class escorts to cosplay and act out my impregnation fantasies. I'm having the time of my life. That said, everything is an improvement after living in a home where my parents shouted at each other, my dad drunk-shouted at me when my mom left, and he occasionally tipped over my mattress when I wasn't home.
