If this is the worst it seems fine honestly, unless the whole bigass comic is this

Was it the first example of wokeness and bad writing ruining beloved franchise?
I think if anything it kind of tried to have it both ways and push stuff while at the same time pussying out. If they kept the culture arc in season 2 instead of just making the guy a generic villain it would've been alright
And honestly, while we're here... I liked the love triangle shit in the first season
>insulting the supreme autocrat of a society that values honor above everything and has sancioned death duels
He should've incinerated the guy on the spot but I doubt the writers of it really understood what the Fire Nation was as a place.
Yes and this somehow affected Kyoshi who was not only the supreme god-queen of another nation after she killed the tyrant of the earth nation, but also lived and died centuries before Sozin was even born.
I never understood why this random line got so much hate. It's the type of dumb thing Korra would say. It's no worse than the rest of the writing in the show. It's not like she's saying this is the only reason he was bad either.
The first show villainized a hyper nationalistic which sought to colonize and conquer the world on behalf of their superior technology (and consequently, image of intellectual superiority), is that not "woke"?
The comics were always pandering garbage but none of this was in the show
Yes
Well this is one-dimensional and lame enough to be oriented towards younger audiences, definitely
Imagine if they did the Ottoman spin instead >This brutal empire had a particular proclivity towards noble European boys as well as Lawrence of Arabia
That's woke as well. >Assistant is paid money to do the thing. >Develops one-sided feelings for her boss. >Get separated for a little while and when you come back demand to get married and be given half the company. >He acquiesces.
Seasons 1-3 were great but 4 was mostly shit. There wasn't that much wokeness that I remember but the haircuts of characters in season 4 were ridiculous
She's good for Amazon Press and a little bit of choking. Maybe spanking me with her water whips a little bit. Just some light stuff. Maybe airbend just 99% of the air out of my lungs and bring me right to the brink of death.
People greatly exaggerate how "bad" Korra was. Aside from season 2 I liked it. It's biggest issue was them thinking they'd gett cancelled every season which didn't allow them to have the same level of long term continuity ATLA had
Never watched Avatar before and the only thing I know about it is that the blind Earth e-girl is great. Is the original series still good now or is it one of those things where you have to see it as a kid to like it?
ATLA is still great but sometimes it feels really childish (especially if you compare it to modern cartoons like Arcane). You still can enjoy it though, mainly because of good characters, jokes and some fights (just don't expect mind-blowing plot with twists and deep villains).
>wokeness
Yes
what's the unedited version say?

ALL the comics are like this.
Can't Zuko have him executed for insolence?
>insulting the supreme autocrat of a society that values honor above everything and has sancioned death duels
He should've incinerated the guy on the spot but I doubt the writers of it really understood what the Fire Nation was as a place.
What an ungrateful smug little shit, should have challenged him to an Agni Kai and charred this c**t into ash.
>trans flag behind korra
Holy shit I never noticed the groomer flag.
This looks like bad fanfiction. There's no way this is official.
Take the red pill
>Fire Lord Sozin banned homosexuality
>"That guy was the worst."
Whaaat?! Really?!
Yes and this somehow affected Kyoshi who was not only the supreme god-queen of another nation after she killed the tyrant of the earth nation, but also lived and died centuries before Sozin was even born.
>Commits genocide
>"Yeah, he's pretty bad I guess"
>Dislikes homos
>"OMG WORST PERSON EVER"
Every single time.
I never understood why this random line got so much hate. It's the type of dumb thing Korra would say. It's no worse than the rest of the writing in the show. It's not like she's saying this is the only reason he was bad either.
It was shit before the pandering lesbo garbage
Pandering made it way worse
The first show villainized a hyper nationalistic which sought to colonize and conquer the world on behalf of their superior technology (and consequently, image of intellectual superiority), is that not "woke"?

No it wasn't woke, that's just what villains have been for a long ass time, that's what the Empire in Star Wars is.
you just know
>last season so fricking bad they took it off TV mid season
jesus this show started so good and ended up so shit
There is nothing wrong with diverse representation in media and the buzzwords have done nothing but convince me I'm right
Sure troon
ATLA was already diverse
this shit was #Diversity #LGBT #PrideMonth
It was impossible to live up to the predecessor.
The last airbender was at least very good in every aspect and had little to no flaws.
It gave us the best character in the franchise so it ain't all bad imo
and good porn material
If you think this show is woke then watch it again and look how this based homie treated his assistant
That's woke as well.
>Assistant is paid money to do the thing.
>Develops one-sided feelings for her boss.
>Get separated for a little while and when you come back demand to get married and be given half the company.
>He acquiesces.
Great example of what happens when a creative force loses its tard wrangler.
Seasons 1-3 were great but 4 was mostly shit. There wasn't that much wokeness that I remember but the haircuts of characters in season 4 were ridiculous
>wokeness
THE PROBLEM WAS DAWSON'S CREEK LOVE TRIANGLES AND OVER-SATURATION OF SOCIAL MEDIA
Literally the very first scene in avatar the last airbender is a katara feminist rant
not woke at all and it's the goat cartoon
Korra was only good for anal creampies change my mind
She's good for Amazon Press and a little bit of choking. Maybe spanking me with her water whips a little bit. Just some light stuff. Maybe airbend just 99% of the air out of my lungs and bring me right to the brink of death.
No because Korra’s issues have nothing to do with “wokeness”. It has to do with a disastrous season 2 and not preparing for season 3/4 properly.
Also with Korra being a bit of a jobber in the later seasons.
People greatly exaggerate how "bad" Korra was. Aside from season 2 I liked it. It's biggest issue was them thinking they'd gett cancelled every season which didn't allow them to have the same level of long term continuity ATLA had
Never understood the hate. Only thing that really annoyed me was the terrible love triangle shit.
Sadly, season 2 was such a chore to watch it burned me out before I could reach the finale
And I really liked season 1

Korra is a better show. ATLA is a better cartoon.
At least it's not that insulting as modern Star Trek, Star Wars, MCU, Doctor Who etc
