Legit, why is he still CEO?

Legit, why is he still CEO? It's not like despite his controversial decisions he actually made some more money than AT&T no, he lost MORE money

Because Discovery bought out WB and in turn he doesn't have to answer to WB's board. At some point there may be some pushback against him

Why is Iger still CEO when he built the coffin Disney is climbing into?

Why was the CEO of twitter before Elon bought it still working? The company was not profitable and 50% of the staff was a waste.

Lots of weird shit going on.

Iger is still CEO because he quietly and gradually replaced the board with people loyal to him.

Iger is a politicking homosexual, he has no reason to be there out of merit. Kathleen Kennedy is the same.

Disney is a real-estate business with a media-division that is actually more akin to a marketing department who get to generate its own profit most of the time.

And Iger has turned out to manage this real-estate business quite well. This is why he is still CEO.

Why do you think the moves he made are controversial within the walls of the company?

A few homosexuals online are seething he cancelled batgirl which would have been universally reviled and Wile E. which is a fucking cartoon nobody cared about.

You’re autism doesn’t generate money and you likely wouldn’t have paid to see either.

Their stock is tanking right now dude. We're going to a barren year for movies too due to the strike, and he's shelving one that will have no competition and got really good test scores.

        >REALLY GOOD TEST SCORES
lol funny that when movies suck we all blame them pushing them through committees and now you’re appealing to such nonsense.

Did the sensitivity readers/watchers okay the script and product as well? Wouldn’t want to skip them!

So is Disney. Zazlav releasing these shitty films he canceled would tank the stock further and make it worse- just like what happened to Disney when they started spamming out low quality content

You're right, no one was talking about this movie before he canceled it.

That's true, but he didn't fail. All the movies were already filmed before he joined the job.

Zazlav is an axe man and doing great. He's being blamed by normitards for shitty content coming out now that was greenlit and filmed before he even got there.

Imagine, if you will, you're on a ship. It's sinking and the guy who WAS Captain is gone.
A new guy has been declared Captain, and he's bailing out water with a cup. It's really a futile gesture, but he's bailing every day, and maybe you can tell yourself that he's making a bit of a difference.

That's what WB shareholders are experiencing. It's going to take a LOT to make them think "hang on, I bet someone else would bail water with a cup BETTER."

There seem to be lots of little tremors of financial instability rippling through every industry the last several months. It seems like investor money is suddenly drying up everywhere because of interest rates and everyone in film, TV, tech, gaming, manufacturing, etc is quietly panicking over it. Maybe it's just me but the last couple years have had a real economic "waiting for the other shoe to drop" feeling to it.
