with father figure >i said coming of age, not fantasy
Try actually watching the movie you Black person, it's about 3 friends, one of which is getting married that day, but he gets too drunk and so they clean him up before the wedding, along the way the movie cuts back to when they were kids meeting for the first time and it goes from there, it's actually really good and funny, the virginity bet scene is classic and it has a lot of themes about "What does it mean to be a man" with a great soundtrack. I don't know where you got the father shit from, get your daddy issues in check.
i dont understand the controversy here. was she claiming to be 10 years younger? did they think she was like a 25 year old kissing a 12 year old? hows that different than 28
Project X was actually a good movie and I'm tired of pretending it wasn't. My friends in high school had a legendary graduation party around that same time (house demolished, total strangers, SWAT came, etc) that we still refer to as the Project X party. Or we used to, since I don't talk to any of my high school friends anymore.
i went out with my older brothers friends when i was like 11 and they were all 16/17 and i was given a shot of vodka and kissed one of the girls
good times. im still pretty convinced that most women enjoy showing off their sexuality to younger men / boys
lol this movie was just Jonah Hill creating false memories for himself since he missed out, being a a fat israelite
This was talked about when it came out. Evidently it’s a forgettable flick
>Black folk with father figure
i said coming of age, not fantasy

I just hate to see a good coming of age movie get passed over because "Hurr durr Black folk" that's all.
I got gay awaking in nyc from the cover.
I used to hate this movie as a kid because my siblings played the tape of it constantly

I don't get it, this twitter troony is having a mental breakdown because some 28 year old woman kissed a kid in a movie?
Imagine if they put this level of energy into something creative.

I would literally kill all the people in this thread to experience something like this

Youth in Revolt, criminally underrated Michael Cera flick

How fricked was that party that the SWAT needed to come?
WE ARE ALL BEAUTIFUL!!! EVERYONE IS BEAUTIFUL IN ITS OWN WAY!!!
Now and Then
never even came out
problems with licensing the music used.
Friendly reminder that Alexa Demie was 27 years old making out with a 12 year old in this movie.
It's almost like there are different standards for men and women in society and that's a good thing. The real world isn't reddit.

Happy Campers, if you want that bitter sweet Y2K turn of the millennium vibe complete with Justin Long as a supporting actor.
>Coming of age
>they all look in their mid 20s
You seem unfamiliar with American casting practices.
the chumscrubber
It's not really lesser known but I saw this a few months ago and really liked it.
Is the title "Mud" a euphemism for the shit McConaughey's rapist got on his dick when he fricked him in his ass at the age of 15 perhaps
The myth of the american sleepover is the best

Over The Edge
TV series great coming of age:
>Friday Night Lights
>Normal People
>The Wonder Years
>My So Called Life
Man Without a Face
Linklater made a follow-up 80's college coming of age flick to Dazed and Confused. It is no where near as good as Dazed but it was a fun watch.
>that bit where all the jocks hook up with the hot drama bawds
Kings of Summer
Jonah 'the boner' Hill made a 90's themed one. Never watched it. Is it ass?
Hillside (known as Fifteen in America)
