I remember an anon a few weeks ago posting an archived thread from 2017 which had a bunch of the same "nothing happens" kind of criticisms that were common in the middle stretch of season 6 whereas now it's not uncommon to see people rank season 3 as one of the best ones.

It's zoom zooms with the problem though. After bingewatching the entire series, they now realize that the parts they like only happen once an episode, if they're lucky. Why do you think they complain about "nothing happens", it's been happening since before "The Fly". They want the suspense thriller, not the character drama.
It's why the episode 7 was rated as the best episode of the entire show, even though it was average with a shock ending.

If Breaking Bad had premiered a few years earlier than it did I can easily imagine it getting a tie-in game for the tail end of the PS2 or the early PS3 era like they did for Sopranos/24/The Shield/Lost. Not sure what it would be like though. Maybe just a generic 3rd-person shooter where you play as one of Gus's henchmen and do drug war shit on the periphery of the main story.
