Even Canibus and Immortal Technique held up better than that. It’s always the whitest people ever listening to it too. There’s some weird dissociation there. I got into my 30s and mostly grew out of it. I just walked through a black and Hispanic neighborhood with a gay ass benson Boone song blasting out of my phone. I just know that when I first listened to 36 chambers it was extremely refreshing compared to what I'd listened to before. Most rappers sound like other rappers, Wu-Tang sound completely unique to me. The samples, the beats, the lyrics and weird references. There's a million rappers out there just talking about how many people they shoot, how much money they have and how many b***hes they frick. It gets old. Wu Tang were different, although they never quite reached the magic of those first few albums again.
