I'm not, the prequels were not abominations, nor are they are anywhere near as masterful as prequelgays say and the sequels are all strong. All these statements, correct me if I'm wrong, are not going to align with most Star Wars gays.
I agree the prequels weren't that good but they win over sequels by having consistency and thought out storyline, when in case of sequels JJ had no idea wtf he wanted to do, Johnson knew what he wanted to do but still left open ending for the next director, but it wasn't enough for moronic JJ so decided to retcon not only sequels but all the other saga movies.
JJ Abrams can make a 1st and 3rd entry in a trilogy like shooting fish in a bucket. He made TFA look easy, they are fairly simple good guys win type of movies, nothing offense to the level you say and Star Wars has never been crystal clear to begin with, the OT went one movie at a time. Also IIRC JJ actually did things he didn't think he would be able to do in TFA since he never actually thought he was doing the last movie. Life can be rocky and often is, the Star Wars sequels are just as realistic as anything in Star Wars as far as storyline and way less muddled than the prequels tbh (which I like)
And on the notion of "retcons" and inconsistencies, watch them shit out tons of novels and comic books and Mandalorian shows connecting to the sequels and retroactively improving them, and in 10 years the sequel following will be as strong, if not stronger, than prequelgay following these days. People already cheered at babu frick in the mandalorian season 3 trailer.
I hope this happens, history does repeat itself and if SW fans said the prequels ruined SW and now due to all the other content say it's amazing, I'm sure it could be done with the ST. Babu Frick is dope

Just Luke Skywalker's presence in the last jedi gave the sequel trilogy more depth than Star Wars ever had. Mentally disabled Star Wars fans would say otherwise.
I like crossguards, and the thing looks cool, but it would be near impossible to swing that lightsaber without cutting your own wrists and shoulders.
Still, Adam Driver was the best thing about the sequels, and the sequels did nail the visuals. A waste of talented artists.
The fact there is not continuous plasma or whatever from the cross guard to the blade part really bothers me. The main point of cross guards is to protect against another weapon sliding down the blade into the part where you hold the blade and damaging your hand. Blocking another light saber and having that blade slide down into the cross guard will not work with the way this weapon is right now. Maybe they did this on purpose as a subtle nod to how moronic the sequels are in general.
