uzumaki seems like a really hard thing to adapt, the snail chapter alone would be hard to do without seeming ridiculous. I still hope it gets released though.
They made a live action movie in 2000 and the snails part was there, as far as I can remember. The bluray came out last week, but I can't buy it at regular price in Canada, and the only torrent is an old DVD rip.

thats exactly why I was looking forward to this show though. Black and white anime series thats trying as hard as it can to capture the feel of the manga, and the soundtrack bites that were in the trailer sounded fantastic.

apparently the studio who is working on the series wasn't given a dead line because Americans don't understand Japanese work culture, and instead of actually working hard they're doing a whole lot of nothing and working on other animations. because they don't have a deadline they don't feel pressured to actually work on the show and are just kind of fricking around doing other things.
