I liked it.
GOOD MORNING SIRS
Honestly I think it’s just that Snyder wanted to work with him, that seems to be the only reason any of JL that we got was cast
I liked it too
They weren’t thinking, and still aren’t.
Eisenberg auditioned for Jimmy Olsen getting shot in the head and Snyder for some inexplicable reason wanted him to be Lex Luthor instead
Not true. Zack always eyed him for Luthor because of his performance in The Social Network.
Snyder is even more retarded than I thought since he allowed Eisenberg to do his Max Landis impression
Classic Lex Luthor represents the chad robber baron CEOs of old. The type who banged their secretaries while signing orders to dump chemical waste in the local water supply.
They were clearly going for the 21st century sort of tech CEO who are all big fucking goober nerds like Musk and Zucc who don't even look like they know how to drink water or do normal every day activities like actual human beings. Like they clearly just wanted him to be Zuckerberg from The Social Network again
>Like they clearly just wanted him to be Zuckerberg from The Social Network again
The problem here is that Eisenberg's performance as Zuckerberg in The Social Network actually worked in portraying an amoral, soulless billionaire. The problem is that performance was not what he did here in BvS, which sucked.
Somewhere a bunch of the creators sat down in a boardroom and someone, probably Snyder, said the thing everyone by that time had said 1 million times already:
"oh what if the modern version of Lex the evil billionaire is like...MaRk ZuCkErBeRg???"
and naturally because everyone wants to be original they leapt onto that and applauded him without bothering to flesh him out any more in his base concept than "Zuckerberg". So what you end up with is a total mess of a character who does totally nonsensical things for nonsensical reasons saying nonsensical, entirely unrelated speeches that don't connect to eachother at all. Daddy hit me so I will write Batman weird letters because this will make him wanna fight Superman and then I'll blow up a courthouse and everyone will be angry at Superman for not dying in it and then when I get into this spaceship I'll mix my cum with Zod's cum and make a monster that will beat Superman because, um, Superman is god and I learnt about the problem of evil in primary school and um um um shiiieeeet
KINO. Is a narcissist psycopath that hates superman to the point of self destruction, all inside the shell of "quirky silicon valley richfags". Is a great Lex, is just that the public cant accept "uncool" bad guys, everyone has to be likeable or have a sad background, Lex is just a hateful spastic fuck. Bruce the Christian vs Lex the garden gnome is kino.
>is just that the public cant accept "uncool" bad guys
Everyone liked the recent take on the Riddler though.
jolly ranchers were desperate for screen time i guess
HMM!
stuff
If Superman is a god in this mythos,
His lex would be a reddit tier atheist tech billionaire like Musk or Zuckerberg.
Snyder is actually brillant sometimes.
>Snyder is actually brillant sometimes.
How's the weather in Calcutta at this time of year
stuff
What bothers me is we never got to see his sane lex.
>plays up the quirky, pathetic, soft boy persona when out in public and in front of the press
>immediately drops it for his cold, calculating true self when talking in private or with Superman
Could've been kino honestly.
