There’s no such thing as necessary nudity in a film. The nude scene exists because of pervy writers and directors wanting to disrobe famous women in front of the world.

You sound like Ebert white knighting for Isabella Rosselini in his Blue Velvet review. Nudity is like anything else, its a part of the human experience and it shouldn't have to be justified as "necessary" any more than any other element or creative decision in the film.

There is nothing wrong with phone posting. I almost exclusively phonepost and I have received many (You)s leading credence to the quality of my engagement on this website.

Also you can phonepost from just about anywhere, and I typically phone post while lying on my bed or the couch, its easy and convenient and you don't get bogged down by having to deal with a laptop.

There is quite literally no reason phoneposting is bad besides contrived rhetorics cooked up by newbies in a blatant attempt at trying to fit in by aping what they believed the oldgays would've said, not knowing why.

He types like how he talks. Funny.

That's actually a pretty reasonable review. Keep in mind he likes trash horror films so his tolerance is likely much higher.

All the shit in the film is from the novel too, they just ramp it up much more.

      >reasonable review

I also noticed that anons here criticised the acting, the ridiculous scenes (the blowjob one, the abortion one and many others), the lack of nudity the tryhard artistic choices (resolution changes). People may be just coomers or philistines but is that worse than this moralgay crusade?
        >oh no you're slandering American Queen

Nudity is clearly not what he was talking about. The movie invents details about her life in order to show her being abused for three hours.

      Anonymous

lol it will be funny seeing Jay trying to say this in a video, when they have always said they didn’t care about movies changing details. Most notably in the Ed Wood video.

        Anonymous

Inventing details can still be respectful to the person the movie is about. Lincoln, for example. That movie had many conversations behind closed doors that there is zero historical record of. They had to use what material they had to make assumptions about what would have happened, how these people talked, what deals were made, etc.
Did Lincoln really very nearly decide to focus on ending the war over ending slavery? We have no idea. The movie invented that scene with the two telegraph operators. But scenes like that are, while made up, respectful of who Lincoln was and serve to build a better narrative about his life.
What is gained by inventing Marilyn getting raped by JFK or any of the other shit? What narrative is served by that?

          Anonymous

Yeah lol like this, it would be funny seeing them do mental gymnastics to explain their inconsistencies

            Anonymous

The made up details in Lincoln were neither favorable nor unfavorable, they just served to fill in the gaps of history’s knowledge. That’s what invented details should be used for: to fill in the gaps. Not to make someone look good or bad.
Also guess my political stances moron you’d be wrong

      Anonymous

The movie invented details because it's based on a book that also invented details - Blonde was a fictional book, not a biography. You want to get mad about extremely kino JFK rape name Joyce Carol Oats, not the movie.
