it's called historic revisionism and it sucks.
If euro history is not inclusive enough for you then don't do films based on it.
there were no Africans, no muslims or troons back in the days. the homosexuals were cowering in fear from fear of being caught and burn alive. The israeli and pr*testants were treated like shit and barely tolerated and it was a good thing.
Dumas was a quadroon whose rich grandfather fricked an African servant, blacks in France at the time were an imported servile class for rich people, nothing to justify the pure homosexualry of modern Hollywood castings.
That being said the cast for these flicks (which clearly no one here looked at) seems to be pretty much normal! There's one black supporting actor listed as "Hannibal" (The Phoenician leader of antiquity? Carthage was Levantine, but blacks like to claim him)

Don't confuse mainland France for the colonies, there weren't enough blacks in the mainland to form a class
Plenty of them in the colonies though

>blacks in France at the time were an imported servile class for rich peopl
not really true.
they didn't import them
Dumas dad was "imported" to France probably because his dad liked him and wanted to give him a better life. Also when the blacks setted a foot in France they were free because of the anti slavery law of Louis the first. That no slave should be tolerated in mainland France.
During the 18th century, it was a huge flex at that time to have exotic servants. It was super rare. Only the richest of rich could afford black/Indian/arabic/whatever flavor of brown servant.
During the 17th century , during Louis the 13th reign, it's too early for glomohomosexual flexing of exotic servants or halfbred kids to be brought to France by their slave-fricking dads.

he was a quarteron and if was 2 centurey latter than the setting of The 3 musketeers. Dumas is not a character in his novel. Not a single one of his characters is black or of mixed races. They are all of pure french blood except for the royals who are yuro mutts.
Because he has respect for the intelligence of his readers and he tried to give them a realistic story instead of self inserting like modern day shitty ass hollywood writers.
It's kind of weird to me how much it went under the radar. Anachronistic steampunk stuff is in vogue now. People simply never talk about it, good or bad. I personally think it's a bit too style over substance (big on 3D gimmicks), but it's a rip-roaring adventure film with a good cast.
i read the book earlier this year and it was actually kinda trash. like the first half was good then it gets so stupid, and the musketeers themselves are not at all heroic, they are downright criminal bastards with very strange ideas of what is good and moral.
Can't wait for black D'Artagnan and homosexual troony Aramis
Obsessed.
Nauseated, you mean.
>how dare you notice obvious patterns
I don't notice "patterns", because I am not insane. You will stop seeing them too, once you finally begin taking the antipsychotics prescribed to you.
>I don't notice "patterns", because I am not insane
It's the other way around actually.
Yes, Apophenia is a thing but you're an NPC
How dare they challenge the racial purity of Alexandre Dumas' work.

Duma was literally black

Dumas was a Black person you braindead c**t
and he was smarter than you
Dumas didn't inject random n-words where they didn't belong
will they keep the NTR or will they erase it to manage Murrikan sensibilities ?
Remember how Paul W.S. Anderson made a strange steampunk adaptation in 2011? I half expect people will rediscover it now.
Yes, and it was great

seeing how much of a sperg OP is has extinguished any interest I had in this movie. Probably would have been shit anyway.
What the hell kind of title is that?
It's a shit headline, there are two films:
>The Three Musketeers: D'Artagnan
>The Three Musketeers: Milady
The old 3 musketeers with Jeremy Irons mogs this leftist crap
i read the book earlier this year and it was actually kinda trash. like the first half was good then it gets so stupid, and the musketeers themselves are not at all heroic, they are downright criminal bastards with very strange ideas of what is good and moral.
>Eva Green as Milady
At least there's gonna be some booba
I fricking love the Three Musketeers but made the mistake of reading Ten Years Later and that shit has an unreasonably depressing ending.
