>lynch's most moving and best movie is a disney produced film no one talks about about an old man on a tractor
what did he mean by this?
second time i've cried to a movie btw

what is this and when did it come out?
is it surreal or is it more grounded?
don't know how disney & lynch linked up but sounds like I need it
It's a straight story. Don't worry. There's nothing "Disney" about it at all, though.
the story was too straight
I find the title a bit problematic. Is there a disclaimer/trigger warning about the word straight and the fact that it features a WHITE MAN as the main character?
>movie called straight story
>it's gay as fuck
Lynched
It's an excellent movie. I like that it exists because it proves Lynch can make great "normal" movies.
Yeah, Elephant Man does as well. Very genuinely compassionate.
Everything Lynch makes has that same intense compassion. Especially the surreal stuff.
Much like Stuart Gordon's Man In An Ice Cream Suit.

I unironically cry to most movies I watch, even ones that aren't supposed to be sad. Feels weird to have a high EQ. Not sure if it's a good or a bad thing. Cried at Mulholland Drive, cried at Inland Empire and I cried my ass off many times during Twin Peaks. Haven't seen Straight Story yet, but thanks for the rec.In fact, I really need to do a full watch/rewatch of Lynch's entire filmography now that I think about it...
this is the Porco Rosso of Lynch's movies and not because it's mediocre or even bad in any way (it's an 8/10 at least) but because Cinemaphile pretends its the best because it's by far the safest contrarian pick for best out of all of Lynch's filmography
that's actually having a really low "EQ" if such a thing even exists
you have the same response to everything you dumb fuck how is that indicative of being properly calibrated?
>if such a thing even exists
Autist detected.
Sorry but crying at everything isn't proof that "EQ" exists much less that you have a good one
It's called being a normal well-adjust sociable person (not EQ which if anything is a gnomish sociological invention) which you definitely are not if you cry at every movie you see lmfaooo
op here but I think Inland Empire is also tied for his best in a different way imo, I love most Lynch but still haven't seen elephant man or wild at heart
the only other movie to make me cry was The Wrestler, I'm not sure why those two did it for me but it did
grounded 100%
dumb frog poster
EQ means your emotions are in tune with reality. You have a mood disorder you fucking retard
This shot man, superb acting.
Based HDS
Everyone I’ve shown this movie to has loved it. I highly recommend this to any anons who haven’t seen it yet. It’s a masterpiece. This movie always comes to mind whenever people start talking about soul.
>second time i've cried to a movie btw
Was the first time the "movie" of you with your uncle when you were a kid? gay
>lynch
isnt that the guy who makes movies for pseuds that can only respond with shouting LUNCHD to any objection while everybody else scratches their head about their weird behavior and moves on with their lives
LUNCHD
>straight story and elephant man are lynch's best kino
>his so called masterpieces like eraserhead, mulholland drive, and twin peaks are incoherent garbage
unironically lynchian
I remember watching this as a kid and being absolutely captivated
This wasn’t sad and I know because I’ve got a very good sense of powerful and poignant emotional displays. Like in the avengers when iron man clapped his hands and said I’m the iron man and died it fucking wrecked me. Started crying and lost bladder control right there
The only movie that made me cry was Jerry Maguire. A fucking Tom Cruise movie, lol. The scenes where he interacts with the kid are depressing as hell.
JERRY, I WANNA GO TO THE ZOO!
Disney didn't produce it, they just picked it up for distribution.
