arthur is the inspiration for the real joker

This, Arthur isn't the REAL joker everyone knows, he's essentially a beta version of joker, he just served as the inspiration for the real joker who was still young in the movie.

I want this to happen so bad cause it would be cool, but that would require the DCEU to get its shit together and that's never happening.

it takes a much more realistic look on a broken man, not some comic guy that turned crazy after chemical burns he shouldve been paralyzed for life from

Hold on. I'm supposed to believe a guy who can't even afford his own gun will eventually get a giant blimp filled with toxic laughing gas and try to crash it into the city? I'm supposed to believe this?

Maybe the more unrealistic part is that a guy could ever own a giant blimp filled with toxic laughing gas in the first place...

That is moronic. Because Joker doesn't fall into a vat of acid. Red Hood does. And it isn't acid. It's a chemical called Jokium. Your friend is dum

Comic writters are childs and don't consider canon anything that isn't written by them.

Is anything canon? Remember when Batman sat on the Mobius chair and learned Joker's name? That was supposed to be a big moment and the only thing we got from it was a lame crossover with Watchmen and Three Jokers

I like the idea of a more realistic Batman universe, I've never liked Batman comics that suggest mutant supervillans and aliens exist, it clashes too heavily to me with the idea of a guy who's just a human and used his money to buy all these gadgets to be a superhero in "real life"
The Joker movie fits this idea perfectly for me, if there's absurd things like aliens or the joker flying a blimp of toxic laughing gas, it'd ruin this more grounded interpretation of the Batman universe for me
The criminal Joker in this universe should be more like Jigsaw in the saw franchise, where he's obviously crazy but his feats are theoretically possible

      Anonymous

Honestly I wish the movie had been a character piece on Arnold Wesker and Scarface instead. You might see me make threads on this but I legit think if you reworked a few things it would be a much better Ventriloquist origin
      >old man failed comedian with speech impediment gets shit on by life
      >finds a dummy that uses Wesker to commit various crimes
      >Wesker thinks it's making him more confident
      >instead of a flash back with black lady it's a flashback showing all the times Scarface was committing crimes it was really Wesker.
      >Wesker decides to kill himself to escape Scarface on Murray's show
      >Scarface kills Wesker and is picked up by Peyton
Someday I'm gonna direct this movie. It's so much better than what they gave us in Jokler.

The Batman has a sideplot about Thomas maybe being in league with crime. Alfred shoots down the suggestion right away, but I guess he missed that part.

No he didn't shoot down the suggestion. He allowed Falcone to threaten the reporter in order to hide Martha's insanity so he could run for mayor. He went to the mob. But Falcone killed the reporter and Thomas kept it a secret and still tried to run for Mayor.

Well in The Joker they make Thomas Wayne a deadbeat father who cheated on Martha and disowned the bastard son (by the way Joker and Bruce Wayne are brothers in this universe)

In The Batman Falcone tells Bruce he and Thomas were in cahoots to get rid of a reporter who covered a story of Martha being sent to Arkham Asylum.

Now I'm not saying Thomas and Martha need to be completely altruistic. But if you're going to dedicate your life to dressing up like a bat to honor them you should be sure they aren't hypocrites or toadies for the mob.

            >In The Batman Falcone tells Bruce he and Thomas were in cahoots to get rid of a reporter who covered a story of Martha being sent to Arkham Asylum.

              >The Joker
Arthur literally picks up a note that Thomas sent to Martha during their affair. It confirms they had a taboo relationship.

              The Batman
Alfred isn't even a part of this. Riddler only existed because Thomas Wayne's decisions led to the destruction of his orphanage for mob shit. Riddler pieced the clues together and exposed Thomas. Falcone confirmed this. Alfred was the b***h who could only go "ohh there was so much you didn't know about your father"
