>make first movie in a while with white lead
>it's a gigantic hit
HMMMMM WHAT COULD THIS MEAN?

HMMMMM WHAT COULD THIS MEAN?
>Ruins your argument
People got weirdly mad at the black, female, lesbian, captain character that has 5 minutes of screentime
The movie actually wasn't that bad It's no Good Dinosaur and Personally I thought it was better than incredibles 2
It probably didn't need to be a buzz lightyear film though
I was onboard with it until the Zurg reveal. Just an awful, awful creative decision that kills the movie.
it felt like a nod to starwars, and Zurg already was that in the Toy story 2 film with him being "his father" in that movie
I didn't hate it, I grew up with the Buzz lightyear of star command show though, I'm not sure why they didn't just stick with that world
the premise made it dead on arrival. it's a movie about buzz lightyear... not the toy, the guy, except the guy in a movie within a movie... and it's very mature and for grown ups....
Zurg should have been his father like the Toy Story movies established. Not him in the future for another "You're your own worst enemy" message.
And the film should have been more energetic, cartoony and fun than this "Interstellar for kids" bullshit.
Claiming this film was the movie Andy saw that made him want Buzz Lightyear is insulting to everyone's intelligence. What kid would watch this movie and want anything other than the talking robot orange cat?
>Buzz clearly takes inspiration from old/colorful/silly Sci-Fi works like Flash Gordon, Buck Rogers and the like
>film is about as colorful as Gears of Wars with the exception of the too silly in the context of this film suits
Certainly fits in with all the bad Sci-Fi adaptations of the 90s
*Gears of War
A better looking movie would've only made people really mad how bland the script was. I prefer if the whole movie was mediocre instead of it being "ruined potential" that people don't shut the frick about, like Steven Universe or The Owl House.
Tbh, the movie was rather mediocre at best and at worst is the bland storytelling, plus character design in the movie are ugly, especially Ethan.
>make movie with GAAAAAAAYS
>it flops
But it was the same "can be cut for China" gays that we've seen in plenty of Disney/Pixar movies already.
Moana, a sexual with an ethnic lead, is coming and will be another huge hit.
It just shows Disney that they should make sequels
^Moana, a sequel with an ethnic lead
Moana is pretty sexual however. Gorgeous feet.
Moana is Asian, Asians aren't a hated minority...unless they're Indian
They why haven't they added Raya to the Disney Princesses?
Raya is basically what happens when a Han and a Pajeet meet. They're called Southeast Asians.
But they have. She's been added to the lineup.
It's the fate that befalls you when your merch doesn't sell enough on its own so you become absorbed into the collective.
Mirabel and Asha have managed to dodge it so far. I suspect Asha will be drafted soon though.
>personified emotions
>white
Buzz is so prominent in the movie, he's both the protagonist and the antagonist. I'm sure if Pixar could've gotten away with it, they would've made his robot assistant look like pic related.
Confirmation bias is a hell of a drug
And if it had flopped, you would have said it's because Riley's bi.
there's unironically more evidence spider-gwen is actually trans than that riley is bi. stop coping.
>posts thread about movie they were saying is woke last week actually isn't woke now because it's popular
>"Y-y-youre coping!"
Loser.
>the cartoon characters are gay because my twitter friends told me so! representation win!
i aint even OP but you must know you are stupid on some level.
Loser.
It's really REALLY not suprising that Inside Out 2 was a hit. The first movie was good and very popular, and at the time a huge point of discussion was "oh boy can you imagine the sequel where the girl goes through puberty??? lol!!".
Also people can seethe over Doctor's comments about the studio moving away from semi-biographical stories to stuff with wider relatability, but the latter is what all of the studio's most beloved films are based on.
>WHAT COULD THIS MEAN?
that /misc/ owns you and you'll never be able to watch the world without their narrative lens.
>make first movie in a while with white lead
But Joy is yellow?
Fricking die /mlpol/
>Buzz wasn't the lead. The lesbo negress and her descendant were.
This is your brain on /misc/.
Don't actually watch the movie, just watch the half a second lesbian kiss on repeat and pretend that's the movie. have a nice day moron.
