Why are mice, disease ridden pests, often chosen to be mascots?
Predators are often villains in media due to their mean nature in real life. So why are mice exceptions?

A lot of em aren't really chosen
Mickey Mouse for example was just a character from one animation short they did, that short just so happened to become their logo, and later the character in it became the mascot

But why are they popular? They are vermin.
Mickey Mouse was happenstance after Oswald and just ended up the defacto mascot due to popularity as explained
Chuck E. Cheese has a mouse now, but it was a process getting there. Originally, Nolan Bushnell saw this costume from a far and thought it was a coyote so bought it and was gonna start 'Coyote Pizza' and have his crew fit it with animatronic. When they got the suit his staff told him, "This is not a coyote, it's a rat. It even has a tail." so instead of modifying the costume, decided to rebrand as 'Rick Rat's Pizza' and his investors were furious because "Nobody is going to eat at a Rat's restaurant!" but Bushnell was adamant since he already bought the costume and they compromised over not having the word 'Rat' in the restaurant name or mascot name, but could keep the costume. The investors, and eventually company execs after the brand picked up, were still mad they had a rat as a mascot though so they specifically changed him to a mouse in the 90s rebranding.
>make a racist caricature depicting mexicans
>mock them in many ways
>the mexicans end up loving it
Lol
>It's racist because he uh.... speaks their language... and loves their local food... and wears their cultural hat
nah, only modenr westerners think the truth is offensive
As enlightened inviduals is our duty and burden to make minorities see how they were mocked until we arrived to set the record straight.
His original design was much uglier
ohnonononono

See , mice used to represent stereotypes of hued double digits. Mickey as a corporate icon is just a modern social construction made by those hues in suits.
israelites
Because they're like people but tiny and that's a funny concept.
bro that thing is adorable
I agree
It won't be adorable when it invades your home and shits everywhere
You’re thinking of rats. Mice are considered cuter
