there's also the cherokee hair tampons commercial, the make your own mr. hanky commercial, fighting the frizzies, and trey and matt introducing the special re-release of the pilot off the top of my head
To properly appreciate the commercials, you really had to watch it on tv, because they'd come on right at the start of the commercial break to make you think it was real at first.
They did it a few times*.
Apart from the ones mentioned/more recently: I should've never gone ziplining and the vr episode.

>and trey and matt introducing the special re-release of the pilot off the top of my head
I now remember how the dog they have changes in each shot lol
The commentary they did for this episode was pretty funny too. I miss old South Park, was much more consistent (although there have been a few good episodes over the last few years)
>blood spurts on her face and THEN the plane goes down
I always thought it was supposed to be oil or hydraulic fluid or something to signal that the plane is absolutely fricked.
when I was a kid I had to record south park on my vcr timer cause I couldn't stay up til midnight. I remember recording this episode when it aired and thought my vcr tape recorded from 2 different channels or something. it scared the shit out of me for some reason
>the last good episode imo
The fact that I’ve heard that said about so many episodes that came after that makes me think the show is just as solid as it were. It was definitely shit for a period of time, whatever season imaginationland and satan’s birthday was, but it came back strong and I’ve enjoyed the new specials and episodes for the most part.
So many people hate this episode and I don't know why.
I assume they didn't watch I Shouldn't be Alive or they've never been on some outing the sounds fun at first but you're with a whole group of randoms making it shitty.
>all these replies saying they got scared by this
Did I miss something? it wasn't scary at all, I remember watching this scene as a kid and laughing at how fake, cheap and funny it looked, come on, the fake blood splashing her face for no reason, her exaggerated expressions, the fricking pool scene at the end.
I idolized trey as a kid. It sucks seeing him mind-raped by L.A. Especially considering they were so anti-hollywood in the before time. Young trey is probably my greatest artistic influence, and sellout trey just bums me out. He's got more money than several African nations combined, but he's lost the respect of one worthless, anonymous moron on the internet who used to consider him as a hero. Young trey, you are missed.
Watch cannibal the musical if you haven't
Also south park was at its best during season 1-3
Around season 9 is when it's just not really worth watching anymore, and even then you have to skip episodes here and there. After season 9 there is good stuff, but you have to skip a lot of episodes, and even in good episodes only parts of them are good
Also the first 7 seasons are best in the original 4:3 format, the animation faults add to the charm, which also brings me to the point that south park got much worse the more the style of it "improved". it looks like shit with the newer designs, it was incredibly charming when it looked like cardboard cut-outs and it added a lot to the humour (i know only the very first episode was actual cut-outs yes)
Its so familiar. Link?
frick, they were so creative back then. even though scenes are lifted from movies/shows etc. they watched growing up.
kek i forgot they used to have these live action segments
What are you talking about? They only used this gimmick for this episode. It's the only live-action segment I recall on their show.
It was also used in Chinpokomon
Towelie commercial too
Man frick towelie
>he doesn't remember Cherokee Hair Tampons
Underage b&.
>Ms. Information

is this bait?
They did it all the time

frick me i forgot about the live segments. when did south park stop being pure, uncut kino? s4?
Parody of those scenes in Johnny Mnemonic?
robocop
gracias, anon.
richard is the name of the character being hunted in the fugitive
iirc South Park said they parodied the Terminator or something but idk if it was related to this or another episode
that was trapper keeper
Trapper Keeper makes fun of Akira.
Trapper keeper parodied both terminator and akira
Also 2001 at the end
Don't screw around! You all screw around too much.
indian hair tampons
rrriiiccchhaarrdd
I'd watch these at like 1am and it scared me.

Swing me Richard! Higher!
For me, it’s Mr. Durp
*leans up in casket*

Found the pic
didn’t she (the actor) kill herself? maybe that’s why it’s unsettling
That was Mary Kay Bergen. I believe a writer on the show/movie named Pam Brady played her
That was the woman who originally voiced Cartman's mother and most of the other female voices in the first few seasons.
She was very talented.
F
Seconded, RIP
She was a really mind blowing voice actress
Yep. Vocal talents right up there with Kurt Cobain.
why don't they acknowledge her? they didn't even mention her at the anniversary concert
>she (the actor)
Do people really speak like this now or is this b8?
Scared the frick out of me
>YOU'RE ALL SCREWING AROUND TOO MUCH!
Didn't even get a chance to become a character
He didn’t say that
I found this disturbing as a kid but also very funny
She's a pilot
Apparently people would recognize her out in public and start saying "Richard!"
Pure KINO.
live action segments in South Park have always been kino
ALABAMA MAN ! !
YOU'RE GONNA TRY TO RIDE IT ALL NIGHT LONG BUT YOU'RE GONNA FAIL BECAUSE IT'S WILD WACKY ACTION BIKE

DESTROY THE EVIL POWER
ICH NI KEIKAKU
ICH NI KEIKAKU
BIG AMERICAN PENIS
AAARRLLABAMA MUUER
This really was the type of shit they pushed on us in the 90s
Watch me fly Richard!
They hate their old stuff and think their new stuff is their best.
Let that sink in.
The show is bigger than them and it's been on for so long people hate cartman now
>they hate their old stuff
Source?
They hate the REALLY early seasons, like the first couple.
>oh wait what am I doing?
>that would have hurt like hell
Wild wacky action bike!
WE ARE TRAPPER KEEPER
when I was a kid I had to record south park on my vcr timer cause I couldn't stay up til midnight. I remember recording this episode when it aired and thought my vcr tape recorded from 2 different channels or something. it scared the shit out of me for some reason
>being scared by some funny live action segments
Zoom zoom
legitimately one of the funniest things to air on TV
This was on the TV a few weeks ago when I got back from the bar drunk as shit while vacationing in Maine and I forgot how fricked up it was
when i was a kid i remember it being really scary but going back now it's actually pretty funny
STOP SCREWIN AROUND. YOU ALL SCREW AROUND TOO MUCH
>Rewatching South Park for the second time
>S12-15 are utter crap and unwatchable for the most part
The ride was fun, but now it's over.
I havent watched it in a long time. What are the best seasons?
5-9 is the peak
1-9
Extremely based, the number of people who skip the earliest seasons is a tragedy
1-5, good but parabolically declining until 9, unwatchable after that.
>parabolically declining until 9
S8 was really good
S13 is actually good IMO, but yah s12 has like no episodes better than decent and 14+15 are straight trash.
Season 10 was pretty much the end. The two parters Cartoon Wars and Go God Go are so bad.
I Should Have Never Gone Ziplining had a bunch of live action sequences for some reason
the last good episode imo and what an episode as well. one of their best easy
>the last good episode imo

The guy who played Cartman, Brandon Hardesty, is a very talented impressionist. It's a shame his career never took off.
holy SHIT i remember him. he was og youtube. i mean day ONE. he had such funny impressions. he's how i learned how to do a brendan fraser impression.
>holy SHIT
what's the longest an american has gone without saying "holy shit"?
what's the longest you've gone without whining about americans?
South Park started turning to shit around S9
more live action South Park kino
DRINK DRINK DRINK
saw these as a kid and they really spooked me. i wonder why that season had so much live-action?
ALABAMA MAUN
South Park should have ended with that VR episode. Absolute peak.
>all these replies saying they got scared by this

reminder they did columbine as a mass sacrifice
