Memes aside, I don't think this movie deserves the hate it garnered. While definitely not a great movie, ignoring that the the originals existed, I think it was pretty funny and fits well within the time period it was created in. If not for the originals, this would probably become a successful franchise.
Decent watch.
no review. im not watching it. 🙂
Flopbusters: Electric Boogaloo
What was your favorite part? I’ll wait.
Not sure to be honest, just feel that it was entertaining, the jokes hit the mark, and it was a good partner with my popcorn
Name any scene. I’ll wait.
I dunno, the scene with Patty and the manakins that come alive was memorable.
>manakins
So are you going to engage with the spirt of the post or fixate on the typo as you have no counter?
Typo? Bro, you don’t know how to spell.
Absolutely destroyed. I rest my case.
I don’t remember that scene
Give it a watch again, and try your best to remove all cognitive bias. Its a decent scene.
There's the part where she slaps her and says THE POWER OF PATTY COMPELS YOU really loudly
I know cuz I saw it in the trailer
kek what a fricking moron
What fricking jokes hit the mark? It's PAINFULLY fricking unfunny.
Nah it’s actually as bad as everyone says
No. I disagree on all fronts. This is easily the worst movie ever made.
The only good thing about this movie was the cringe marketing stunt in the childrens hospital
the one where dying children were told that they'd see the Ghostbusters and they were shockingly let down that it was some random dykes they'd never heard of?
Imagine thinking that women would want to go see a movie about catching ghosts in kids toys
everyone keeps yelling.
everyone wants to be Jim Carrey.
awful shit plot
awful jokes
awful acting
2.7/10 must try a lot harder
OP here, 2.7 is way too harsh. I would legitimately give it a 6/10, or, above average.
Shilling doesn't work here, OP.
Not shilling, just watched it and thought I'd give my take. You're welcome to disagree.
HAHAHAHAAA THE BLACK LADY IS LOUD AND SHOUTY AND THE HOT GUY IS DUMB AND THEY SHOOT THE GIANT GHOST IN THE DICK WHAT AMAZING COMEDY GEORGE CARLIN AND NORM MACDONALD AND BILL HICKS COULD ONLY DREAM OF SUCH HIGH MINDED JAPERY AMIRITE troonySISTERS

sisbros..
Gay
>women
>funny
Funny smelling, maybe.
This and the last Jedi that’s the height of the woke era
>Hey, you remember that film Ghostbusters that came out 3 decades ago that so many people think is a classic? Let's remake it, but this time with 2 white women, 1 black woman, and a lesbian, and we'll use it as a platform for modern day identity politics!
>GENIUS! Then we can accuse critics with not liking it because they're misogynists, homophobes, and racists!
Evil can't create anything new, it can only corrupt that which the forces of good have already created.
3 white women*
Who else remembers when @lesdogg had to shut her twitter down because of 'racist sexist trolls'?
Funny how this shit has been completely scrubbed from the net.
???? elaborate
She accidentally tweeted out what was supposed to be a direct message to one of the other women in the cast.
In it she makes it clear that the 'racist abuse' the cast were getting was, in part, written by Feig (the producer) and herself, and being sent by them to their twitter handles using sockpuppet accounts.
This was a grotesque breach of Twitter rules at the time, not to mention a highly unethical and possibly even criminal activity (using a carriage service to harass).
But all the good little lefty ass-lickers at Twitter did nothing and the incident got memory holed. But Cinemaphile sees all, and Cinemaphile does not forget.
thanks
I've seen her butthole
I've seen her butthole with a thick white dick crammed in it.
Check and mate.
It was pretty bad, but not THAT bad
It's every bit as bad as people say. The Ghostbusters capture a ghost, Bill Murray calls them frauds, and Kristen Wiig releases the fricking thing to prove they aren't. The antagonist has no connection to the team beyond reading the book they made. When he meets them he kills himself, but only after they tell him he is about to be arrested. Four women walk into a mad scientist's lair, tell him the cops are on the way, and instead of 'opening the barriers' his reaction is to commit suicide? In front of the four people who might be able to trap him forever? Nothing about the movie is funny or makes logical sense. And remember that the dance scene that takes place while the credits roll was supposed to be the highlight of the third act.
OP here, I explicitly said to disregard the original films.
I always think its garbage putting Thor in any of their ads.
It was a stunt cameo. Like Segal in Executive Decision.
honestly, no it was pretty bad, but there were a couple of scenes that were redeemable
Frick no. The movie is a mess:
>constant and unfunny adlibbing
>constant namedropping
>candy coloring with way too much color contrast
>characters feel phoney and not real at all
>the script is just a copy of the first one, ie. lazy which shows
>villain is unthreatening because the director wanted to unsult incels rather than make a proper villain (you can do both if you have the talent)
>everyone in the movie acts like a moron for no reason
It's the perfect example of a movie that really highlights the old saying: less is more.
I watched some of this and it's fricking really ironic that Leslie Jones was the best part of the movie and the only one actually acting.
The rest of the cast are just fricking BONE DRY with no humor and no emotion and just stand around making stupid fricking faces and calmly talking. Holtzman or whatever that blonde lady is named is fricking moronic and acts like a fricking dysfunctional moron and none of it's believable.
Melissa is funny I don’t care what other people say. If the other ladies were recast and the script was rewritten to could’ve been good, most of her movies are good.
Meh. the Heat was all right but the ‘riffing’ style of comedy just isn’t a very good way to make a film.
Shooting sixty hours of ad-libbed footage and hoping they can find an hour and a half of usable shit in the editing booth is lazy and it shows.
>I don't think this movie deserves the hate it garnered
Frick off, Paul.
Just because the new movies are bad doesn't mean you have to be a contrarian about GB2016
Bogdanoff here. Moshi moshi?
The movie was just awful, its a pain to watch
