Not OP, but that is Antenna Man. He's an autist who reviews TV antennas on YouTube. You can also pay him for a personal consultation where you tell him where you're located and how many trees are around your house and he'll recommend you an antenna that would be perfect for your exact needs.
I have no desire to look this up but I want to believe it's real
either way i'm tickled
>The consultation service starts at $40 and includes a lifetime of support from Antenna Man along with a money back guarantee.
I live for this form of autism. He’s my new favorite hero.
If you want to watch local news and sports, but you don't want to pay for a cable package, it's a great option. You pay one time and you can watch NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox, CW, and in a lot of markets you get some other smaller networks, forever.
Had one for years. It was the only option we had. Live out in the middle of nowhere and we had awful internet until late last year when a company expanded and we could all get high speed internet.
You know the great thing about watching those cartoons the second time is Fred gets back at Barney for eating his cereal, Jane get's gagged, and Shaggy fricks Daphne.
I'm a leaf and no one in Buffalo has signed up for this channel. I hope the MeTV affiliate there doesn't get it, because I'm never able to catch their channel OTA.
Where Are You is on every day, the New Scooby Doo Movies from the 70s are played on Sundays. They haven't announced if or when they'll be airing the Scrappy Doo or Dynomutt seasons, but I imagine they'll be cycling them in and out.
Misadventures of Ed Grimley
Mr. T
Go-Bots
are airing late nights on Saturdays
Greatest Bible Stories on early Sunday mornings
Captain Planet for their E/I requirement
and sprinkling Police Academy and The Mask throughout the schedule
So there's some deliberate selections of 80s HB slop
They're also showing 2 Stupid Dogs + Secret Squirrel on Saturday nights (but thats genuinely good)
They're missing out on the superhero shows but I feel like that will get its own block eventually.
Hong Kong Phooey was probably the best original idea of the 70s. And I guess Jabberjaw is too goofy to ignore.
And they don't have any of the Yogi crossover shows -- but Laff a Lympics was the best (only good) one.
I don't know if there's any demand for the low rent Scooby clones like Goober and the Ghost chasers. Or any of that 70s slop like Mork N Mindy, Patridge Family in Space or whatever the hell they were doing
"slop" is reserved for ugly CG crap. It's Hanna-Barbera "junk". Slop insinuates some form of liquid, or diarrhea or vomit. Which low-effort computer graphics imagery resembles.
I got Direct-Tv and I randomly checked their site and it has the antenna channel for it but there's also the streaming option for mine on the 25th. Maybe check it for your area.
my area should receive it
yet I'm reading in this thread the channel is active in some places
just wondering if my area is waiting till the last moment to activate the channel signal
I dont even know if my antenna will receive the signal
I have every single thing on this channel on DVD and have for decades. I even ripped those DVDs and have it all in organized folders on a hard drive for easy consumption. No ads.
I'd still rather watch it on linear TV with commentary and fun bumpers presented in an interesting way. Streaming sucks, you might as well just pirate at that point.
I'm a wrestling fan, and sometimes I'll put the WWE channel on on Peawiener and watch whatever they're showing instead of picking out a show to watch myself.
who is that freak on the right?

That's autism I can respect
Do people really still use antenna televisions in the year of our lord 2000+24? My uncle has one but he barely uses it and just watches Tubi instead
they should just use air tv to run old shows with commercials
and they do, which is quite popular to just have on while doing other things

I'm anxious to see if my reception is good or if I need a stronger antenna.
Found out no carrier in RI has it so no, I’m not.
rip anon
frndly
$5 a month
No.
The METV channel in my area hasn't advertised it at all
You know the great thing about watching those cartoons the second time is Fred gets back at Barney for eating his cereal, Jane get's gagged, and Shaggy fricks Daphne.
Forgot the pic.

why does it look like pornhub logo is this normal?
What the hell am I looking at
Aftermath of a Black Templar purge
Are they showing Where Are You Scooby or all the shitty shows made in the 70s?
Where Are You is on every day, the New Scooby Doo Movies from the 70s are played on Sundays. They haven't announced if or when they'll be airing the Scrappy Doo or Dynomutt seasons, but I imagine they'll be cycling them in and out.
Not for that cheap ass hanna-barbera slop.
Yes, Normies are excited for MeTV Toons.
You're not getting 70s/80s Hanna Barbera slop besides The Smurfs, you're getting their good stuff that was made between 1957-1963.
not entirely accurate

This looks like a really solid lineup of major classics and also lesser known shows.
>Hanna Barbera slop
"slop" is reserved for ugly CG crap. It's Hanna-Barbera "junk". Slop insinuates some form of liquid, or diarrhea or vomit. Which low-effort computer graphics imagery resembles.
Just thought I'd clarify.
And the junk didn't happen until the 1970s.
Hanna-Barbera was the Illumination of the 60s-70s after all, being best known for cutting corners just for costing measures
No, they were better then that.
Total Television was the Illumination of the 60s.
Hanna-Barbera is not """"slop"""" but it is just cheap television for adults. It was The Simpsons, and Family Guy. Mass appeal television.
I WANT MY METV TOONS!
need to keep this thread alive until the 25th
NGL, this channel is the first animation-related thing I've been excited for in a long, long time.
for real
still dont know if I can receive it

I live in an area that isn't carrying it. But I went and subscribed to Frndly just for that one channel.
Even if it doesn’t we’ll have good threads closer to launch and the first week or so it debuts
it is a 24/7 Cartoon Network on the open air waves
so I'm hoping it might encourage more discussion
So why do they expect people to watch this stuff on tv when you can already go on Tubi and watch it whenever you want.
Because the cartoons that air on the parent MeTV channel get astronomical ratings.
Aren't all those shows on tubi as well?
I don't think Tubi plays any old cartoons outside of Sonic and Mario.
Tubi has *some* classic HB (but no Looney tunes) and MeTV Toons is a much bigger library
Linear TV with variety and careful curation > selecting episodes from a series of boring menus.
>can't search for interesting things yourself
>needs to be told what to think and like at all times
streaming will always be superior
