the 1994 Danny DeVito film "The Ratings Game" is a comedy about a mob connected low-level guy who figures out how to fix the TV ratings system; using it to fulfill his dreams of becoming a TV producer.

At the fictional TV network (before he runs his scam), they are already promoting a new show about garbage men, called the "dawn patrol'

    See it here (time 12:51):

I'm good at remembering movie plots. Plus, I enjoyed the movie years ago, and watched it again months ago.

        TV movie?

probably. Once he figures out how to jimmy the system, he's got the "#1 TV network". Here's the new shows he's producing:

Do those guys actually get out of the fancy waste truck anymore? Around here I've only seen the trucks with the robot arm.

That would make a pretty boring show, other than occasional hobo crushing episodes.

The recycling one has a robot arm. We still have normal trash guys who jump off the truck and my mom gives them water every day

bbc made a series about garbage workers in africa

my fav episode is S02E03 about some guy kanoting 5 miles out to the sea to fill his ship with sand, scooping it up in a rusty iron bucket from the bottom of the ocean. He sells the sand to buy whiskey to fuel himself for the work.

Because those are professions with drama, excitement, and intrigue that the public is interested in, and are easy to film. You also see Lawyer shows.

Fighter pilot shows would be hard to film, as would most military shows, astronaut shows, extreme sports shows.

Nothing interesting or compelling happen to garbage men .

I disagree. You could make an easily workable reality show based on garbage collectors. There's enough new tech and interesting situations to fill at least a season

You know why. All these dramas serve only one purpose: to make you a docile halfwit who trusts the government authority and hierarchy. If any of you knew how crooked is the healthcare system is and how lil frick they give about you along with cops you all would be preparing ropes and pitchforks.

All these drama cop and hospital series only there to brainwash you and trust Dr shekelstein and his copper friend.

Most medical dramas cover this you fricking idiot. They also seem to always have a psychopathic doctor who starts killing patients for fun. E.R. seemed to do this a lot where doctors would just out try and kill some guy they didnt like.
