Moltar

Why as he so cool? How was he so cool? Easily one of the best when CN began their experimental period that led to Adult Swim.

Who thought it was a good idea to give space ghost his own talk show?

That was the joke, back in the 90's there was a whole talk show war with lot of people getting talkshows because they were popular.

Using old clips and dubbing over them with some new animation was genius. And the great writing helped carry it from Cartoon Planet on TBS to Space Ghost Coast to Coast. I suppose the celebrity interviews were done mostly with someone that they had to pretend was Space Ghost and then scripted the other stuff like when Zorak and Moltar kidnapped John Benjamin and recorded UNREASONABLE DEMANDS!

I imagine they gave the guest a script and either had the voice cast or a director leading them.

I heard as the show went on they just basically took the footage from the guest answering questions ranging from mundane to bizarre and then used bits of it for whatever wackiness they could come up with.

How they gave his own show to Tad Ghostal?
Any given second he could go mad postal
Stay wavin' that power band space cannon
And have the nerve to jump in the face of Race Bannon
And punked out; luckily he deaded it
And guess who's the schmuck who's credited with editing it?
Your man Moltar, the cop out
Ain't have no other career choice, he dropped out

Moltar was both irreverent but also cared about the children of Earth enough to want them to see the best programming from across the galaxy. Maybe it was to atone for his crimes, or maybe he just wanted to do something good with his life before the people of Moltor came to rescue him from Ghost Planet.

Maybe Moltar always loved action animation from around the world enough to just share it, it was his hobby while villany was his job.

Idk, but i wish they'd make some figures of the sgc2c cast, i know years and years ago they made 1 of space ghost with his desk and stuff, but something new would be nice.

Retro collectibles that aren't pricy are popular (see: MOTU Origin), if Warner weren't asshats they'd do something like that.

Because he was a nice contrast to Space Ghost and Zorak

      Exactly.
      Space Ghost: Rigid Dork
      Zorak: Chaotic Evil
      Moltar: Polite, Dutiful, Bored
      Brak: Happy Moron

Great personalities that played off each other. The Cartoon Planet revival without Space Ghost just wasn't the same.
