Monument Mythos?

Nixonverse just finished. I guess this is definitely Cinemaphile now since the entirety of the Nixonverse takes place in a comic book. Is it a good ending?

Maybe they're the only ones who applied.
        >troony
Look, I hate political Troons as much as the next guy, but we already have a name for this artstyle: Tumblrcore. I know it's not really... in vogue, for want of a better phrase, since Tumblr went the way of MySpace; and yes, there is (or at least was) considerable overlap between the two demographics... but you realize that, to these people, trans or not, you're just validating what they think?
        >I don't care
Cool, you're apathetic to making people you already hate even worse versions of themselves. Yes, the odds are astronomical that any of them will ever read this because a lot of them, if not all, think of this place the way Obi Wan thinks of Mos Eisley, but I'm just sitting here, praying to the God of Gods that we can put aside this petty drama built on petty drama and get along before the world falls apart in 20 minutes, please!

That was mostly a joke but Freedom is probably a troony icon considering it’s literally a mutilated man trapped inside a vague facsimile of a woman. It would explain the influx of discord troons that have been ruining the series for a while now.

                >a mutilated man trapped inside a vague facsimile of a woman
You realize no troony thinks of themselves like that, right? Or if they do, it's buried under miles of false self-confidence... which does explain quite a bit, actually...

Of course they don’t see themselves as that but considering the troons are unironically dilating over a feminine man being groomed into following society’s expectations into identifying as a woman like Bridget then they lack any sort of self awareness whatsoever.

Factor in the guy trying to crossover literally everything he made ever and the original creep factor of a historical backdrop with a menacing undertone got lost because of all the capeshit-like escalation.

Gemini's hole format is "educational VHS tape, sometimes tampered with." If it wasn't expository, he'd be doing it wrong until he got to the found-footage segments (i.e. "Weirdest Animals," "Home Invasion").

Nah, Gemini was always mediocre; it's just more consistently so than the downward spiral that MM became. Personally though I'm still a Kane Pixels/Lost in the Hyperverse/Frag 2 fan because they started with something decent and have been consistently adding to it without taking away from what made their shit neat.

Even if most Backrooms are ass and/or bad comedy.

Seems like he just didn't know how to escalate, but felt he had to.

Luna deserved being fricked up by the Knight. All it took for him to get serious was entering a state of horrific depression.

      >D-Day Knight is a mentally handicapped man with anger management problems but is capable of genuine remorse
      >Last Son just wanted to save everyone and win at all costs, and repeatedly tries to get the frick out and not bother anyone but people keep starting shit
      >Luna viewed Earth as puny mortals she had an absolute right to judge from the beginning, started the invasion of Earth, and probably dateraped the Last Son once he was abducted to become the Crescent King
Nixon was wrong, Luna was the one who was mad and bad from the beginning while the others at least tried to be something else.

        Anonymous

Luna is just as tragic as her “brothers” are. She genuinely thought that humanity had the potential to be greater than they were, but after being proven wrong time and again she immediately decided to take matters into her own hands. She manages to be more destructive due to her kingdom and influence. I imagine the prophecy she always spouts about is also an attempt to bring the 2 beings she’s closest to in the universe into the family she’s created.

          Anonymous

She had it far, far easier. She understood the first guy who shot at her was given orders by someone else. She had a kingdom of…things, wherever they came from. The Last Son had a shitty childhood and still grew up to be a suphero during the Vietnam War, the D-Day Knight fought in WW2.

Luna didn’t have to do shit. Nobody asked for her help or intervention-and NOBODY benefited from it at any point, unlike her brothers. She could’ve stayed on the moon and done that thing-but no, she had to come down and mindrape her kin and lay waste to the world. Out of all 3 of them, she easily had the biggest hand in everything going wrong-especially with the Knight and Son actively rejected her ideology, and ultimately proving it false by her not taking no as an answer from them.

The Knight inadvertently redeeming Alcatraz by getting rid of an all consuming alien species was neat. Alcatraz’s time as a human and a hero must’ve actually gotten to it. Luna essentially going off script and causing the most chaos in the series despite only being an extension of Nixon brings up some questions on who she was back in Deanverse, since it’s apparent that Nixon based all 3 of his “children” on people he knew and the anomalies that affected his old world.

    >(guy who is an artist in real life) was twice the god that (being acting as a god in a fictional universe) could ever be
That's interesting, because it reminds me of the (as of now, but likely to remain) last video of a guy on YouTube I used to follow closely---won't say who, but he started in the "debunking religious videos" genre, moved onto politics, regretted it, and focused more on the paranormal. In that last video, he expressed the idea that being alive makes us like gods, because we can create beauty where there previously wasn't. We can make art, write stories, compose music, all to evoke worlds otherwise unobtainable. He even says, if God does exist, he's nobody compared to us. Sure, he gave us the world to do stuff in, and that's impressive, but the most impressive part of it came about by accident: us.

It's the lack of human touches, and the clumsy attempt to expand the scope of the conflict. Instead of, say, being able to see the visceral and discomforting breakdown of a family as a result of American exceptionalism as well as actual effort invested in something scary just out of sight, you get a shitty clipart animation and "PS Superman mindraped the planet". It's not just quantity over quality, there was so much effort being put into making the horrors look POWERFUL that there was less spared to make them seem SCARY. It's even difficult to care about anyone suffering when humanity is mostly treated as a kind of collective blob that consistently makes terrible, terrible decisions and the few exceptions to that rule aren't developed much before being killed off.

There's some reversal happening with the two.
The Last Son becomes the Horned Serpent when previously it was the Knight who had the most connection with the Horned Serpent literally wearing its skull.
And the Knight destroys the Lunarians with Alcatraz when previously it was the The Last Son of Alcatraz who had the most connection with the Alcatraz it being in his name.
I don't fully understand it but it definitely isn't coincidence.
