It's weird to call them "diverse" when they're all black with brown eyes and black skin. The originals had more variety between them. None of the white ones shared the same eye color.

        Anonymous

The problem is you are expecting diverse to mean a worldwide range rather than what they are going for, which is the range of African diversity, you can find similarities through out that diversity, but they are still diverse, same with Europe or Asia.

africa must have no folklore if all their properties originate outside of the continent.

The crazy thing is that Africa has plenty of folklore.
It's just no one is willing to do the research just to possibly (not even guaranteed) cater to 12% of the US population at max.
Even when things are made for black people, it still has to be palpable enough for white people to enjoy. It's why The Boondocks and The Wire are still remembered fondly to this day despite being concluded for over a decade.
White people don't give a single frick about African mythology and folklore, and there's the chance that African Americans will probably feel too divorced from said folklore/mythology.

        >The crazy thing is that Africa has plenty of folklore.
English-speaking children in 1913 probably knew more African folklore than today's children and woke activists do, just because Andrew Lang researched it for his best-selling Fairy Books.

and while most people dont care, watched the movies and moved on, you geniuses will talk about these forever, giving films no-one else cares about constnat discussion, with the added effect of having people look at you and go "maybe these race swaps arent a big deal after all."

It's not even about the past live actions. We are living thru it now currently with upcoming films and it's unacceptable. More importantly now too, because it's been a trend that Irish characters are constantly replaced with blacks throughout multiple platforms of media
