I’d watch it if she were a hot mena teen.
I liked this character back when i was a teen but it seems like people just forgot how to write her beyond her first volume and became a shitshow real quick and it seems that this show is aimed at ruining her character ever further.
Her origin isn't mystical, she is an inhuman, her powers aren't cosmic, she is super stretchy like plastic man. Fricking Disney.
it's a lot easier to render some shitty particle effects in CGI than making her convincingly "morphy" please understand.
They know if they did her like in the comics people would say shes just a muslim ripoff of Mr Fantastic. Which she is.
i feel sorry for the cast and crew of shit tv shows, it's like you know it's going to suck but you still have to finish filming.
if they want this show to succeed they need to sex her up a bit and whip out knockers.
Anyone saying this show is for kids is just coping. It's written for the entertainment of the white liberal. Kids would be bored to death watching this shit.
take it easy juan
you know full well that my name is José
ok Juan Jose
two episodes about the partition? who cares about that.
make it about the life if a brown girl in new jersey
How come this first time actress is doing a better job acting than Brie?
captain marvel had a terrible script
So you guys are finally giving up on Brie? Good, those threads were annoying and it took you long enough.
Seems like Disney is getting ready to replace Brie.
Last two episodes have cemented it as the worst MCU show. At least people will be more excited for She-Hulk after this.
>At least people will be more excited for She-Hulk after this.
You MCU fans are living in another reality. I swear.
capeshit is ogre
stop wasting your time and/or money
Its past the
>look at how hard we are working to entertain you
phase, and its now at the
>you trust us to entertain you, so youll pay us to force propaganda down your throat
phase. Its the same tired formula theyve used for years
Is Kamalas culture really THAT important to define her as a character and a super hero? I dont see America Chavez wearing a sombrero and eating tacos every 5 minutes and shes 10x better
You probably only know her because of doctor strange which is pretty good compared to knowing the insufferable c**t comic book version of her where she says "im gay and a lesbian couple raised me" every 2 or so pages.
>to define her as a character and a super hero?
It's Disney doing performative diversity. They're unconcerned about the ethnic cultural aspects not actually adding to the character or even getting in the way of her development. Gotta shoehorn in the music and language and Muslim family values. Corporate doesn't care if they don't fit the story, they fit the agenda.
>Is Kamalas culture really THAT important to define her as a character and a super hero?
It's stupid, but how are they going to get the Muslimbucks otherwise?
Muslims only have their spotted culture, they literally dont have jack shit else to claim, much less than american ones so of course they're gonna hammer down on muh culture as if everyone doesnt fricking know already. Praying, Allah, dressing non sexually, yada yada fricking yada.
Are Indians moronic? They wouldn't be shitting in the streets if it remained a British empire.
Does anyone even exist who actually gives a shit about Ms Marvel? Why is this show being made?
>Why is this show being made?
They're making a Captain Marvel 2. They know shes too shit to carry her own movie. They don't have the based Skrulls from the first movie anymore, so they need to pad it with more heroes. They've already said it will be Captain Marvel, Monica Rambeus kid from the first movie who showed up and got powers in Wandavision and Ms Marvel. So two literal who characters backing her up. But they couldn't just have the kid show up without sort of explaining her, so they made the Ms Marvel show.
The flashback paki woman was hot af tho
>we interrupt your Marvel superhero show to bring you a period drama that is little more than one sided Pakistani propaganda that rewrites history
Bravo, Victoria.
>jew? check
>spic? check
>dyke? check
How are her breasts and ass?
The thought of a Muslim superhero is scary. Like this b***h could fly into the twin towers again and wouldn't even need a plain!
>plain
Whatever. Airplain then.
>Like this b***h could fly into the twin towers again and wouldn't even need a plain!
A Muslim superhero that turns to terrorism? That'd be a kino parody.
IDGAF about her back story just want cute teen hero story
Does she have Down syndrome?
The first two episodes were about comparable in quality (though this makes sense, knowing that they're the two they shipped off to reviewers a week or two before the premiere). Episode 3 was about the same, but they started to ramp up the family history and "ClanDestine" plot which naturally took time away from all the fun teenage stuff with Kamala and her friends. The past two episodes - where they shipped her off overseas without any of her friends, and then had to spend time establishing the new location, new side-characters, etc - have been where the show has dragged. The episodes are still fine - they're not "bad" - but so much of the fun from the earlier episodes is just gone, and they didn't even make up for it with any real plot progression or revelations (though we got some character progression between Kamala and her mom, which was nice). Everything we learned these past two episodes was information we had already been told. It also seems like the main "villains" of the show accidentally killed themselves in a super anti-climatic way.
They're obviously heading back to Jersey for the final episode, so it will probably be a big improvement to have the fun secondary cast back. There isn't even much plot stuff to wrap up - they only have the Damage Control stuff to sort out, though it's not like they've had much screen time in the series anyway. I assume there will also be some final ClanDestine stuff to finish with Kamran too.
Feels like the show has been a bit hit or miss. They made the characters fun, which is great. But the plot doesn't feel like it has legs. Feels like they should have jettisoned most of the Pakistan/ClanDestine stuff, and let her spend an episode or two learning her powers while battling some silly street-level villain in Jersey. Tie the bangle/ClanDestine stuff into that, and keep more of the explanations for later episodes. I dunno.
The whole ClanDestine stuff is too complex. They should have just kept it at street level shenanigans as she learns to control her powers as you said.
>The whole ClanDestine stuff is too complex. They should have just kept it at street level shenanigans as she learns to control her powers as you said.
Yeah. It's not even like that shit was in the comics. I know they're scared to try Inhumans, but this is a fricking clusterfrick. Were Pakistanis really clamoring for a Djinn story? And fricking TIME TRAVEL? Really?
I guess if they really needed to tell this Djinn other dimension shit it could have waited till season 2. Even in The Marvels they could have had her learn more about the bangle in the mid point or something and have some setup for season 2.
Completely agree. First few episodes were so charming i really enjoyed them, last 2 have been awful though. I feel like the actor playing the dad brings a lot to the show and last few episodes have been missing him.
Why does the shitty Muslim ripoff still have more personality then the orginal Captain Marvel?
