That's not even the original image. In the original instagram post Vin photoshopped himself to be bigger than Dwayne and skull mogged him hard. This photo doesn't do it justice
This sort of thing makes me uncomfortable. Why is he begging? Why is he doing it arrogantly? Why does he use those fucking neckbeard sentences like "can't be played by no other"? Why is it an open letter in the form of an Instagram post rather than through their familiar channels of communication?
He's trying to stroke Dwayne's ego by appealing to his public image but Diesel doesn't want to lower his own ego to do so.
Honestly the post is fine. The issue is that The Rock is so egotistically insecure that he hates not being the main star of a movie and seethes that the only fight he lost on screen in the last 15yrs was to Diesel.
It was never about ego with The Rock when it comes to Fast and Furious. He wasn't top dog. Vin would order everyone to the set by 6 then roll out of his trailer 2-3 hours later. Rock runs his own production company. Jumanji and Black Adam and all of that other shit was coming out of his pocket. He was running around and flying from place to place to keep his filming commitments and get a job done. Vin literally doesn't give a shit about what anyone else is doing. You're on the set, you're under his wing. Anything Daddy says goes. People like Tyrese and Ludacris and the random mexicans and shit they fill this team up with aren't doing anything on the level of a multi-hit franchise. Some of their notoriety like Han's actor is ONLY through these films. So people are quick to nod and capitulate because they don't have anything else. Rock does. So he butt heads with Vin who runs on his own schedule.
>Starts his post off with a massive condescending line "my little brother Dwayne" even though Dwayne is far larger than him >"the world awaits Fast X" as it struggles to get to a 700 million box office and will lose the studio hundreds of millions >"my children refer to you as uncle dwayne" bringing his own small children into public drama on social media >"I told you years ago I was going to fulfill my promise to Pablo" dragging a dead man's name into the mix >"You must show up, do not leave this franchise idle" making it seem like Dwayne will be disrespecting Paul Walkers legacy if he declines to show up >"Fulfill your destiny" translation: "this franchise.. MY franchise.. 😉 is the height of your career, come back so I can help YOU fulfill your destiny ;)"
It is when the budget for your movie alone is 350 million plug another 150+ million for marketing. This thing needs like 850 million to even break even. Now take into account Fast 7 made 1.5 billion and Fast 8 made 1.3 billion. It's a dead franchise that is rapidly declining in popularity.
This movie franchise is like a soap opera where nobody dies, the plot is always "save the world from a bad guy", cars, family and coronas. Why would they stop making more when people show upto to theatres to watch it? The only people offended by this are jealous little homos that wish more indie films would get made instead of action movie sequels
Mamoa stole every scene he was in and was having alot of fun. I don't get how that's something for Vin to be upset about. >Nooo I'm upstaged by a villain who won't return!
Vin doesn't know how to pick his battles but I think this is all just to keep the shit in people's hearts and minds honestly. I mean think about it. You're the star of the production. What the fuck do you get out of picking a fight with another actor who is there to do a good job?
Are we living in a world where 700 million is bad?
>Are we living in a world where 700 million is bad?
in the past when you just had to make approx 2x what the movie cost to be considered a success
now with the mix of domestic and foreign and the vastly bloated budgets, it's complete clown world >$340 million production budget, $100 million marketing budget >$140m gross domestic, studio gets 60% so that's $84m >$520m gross foreign, studio gets 30%-40% so that's about $210m
the picture doesn't look good regardless of how you cut it, they went for broke expecting Furious 7 numbers and those haven't materialized
Expect a big home media push to recoup money and they'll quietly reshuffle it back to being a two-parter, down from the trilogy they had hyped it up to be
>translation: "this franchise.. MY franchise.. 😉 is the height of your career
You're shitposting like this isn't actually the case, Dwayne's role as Hobbes quite literally is the height of his acting career.
The F&F franchise really is wild, the production and all. Anybody remember when Roman freaked the fuck out online about there not being any more fast and furious movies?
Dwyane knelt
Vin won

The Rock is like, 5'8.

Man you're a long way from home... Why? You want to know why? Because... THIS IS BRA-ZIOOO
Now did Vin wear 5 inch platform shoes or did he stand on a stool for this?
He made the rock kneeeeel
Neither, the rock is a lot shorter than his marketing team lets on. He is maybe 5'9...
This is how any grandstanding macho manlet behaves.

He should call him big daddy bitch in the next movie, just like he did with the other diesel

It made a profit and then some.
>he doesn't know how box office profits work
Lmao. Back to the streets, Pajtinder
Hold on, 350 plus 150 is only 500. Why does it need 850 to break even?
Theatres take a cut of 40% during the first two weeks of the films release and a lower cut after.

How much of a sociopath do you have to be to make Dwayne not look like one?
Vin is a little diva. He's picking a fight with Mamoa because he stole the show in the last movie
Momoa was a gay singing alligator in that movie. Now those videos of him molesting his own kids make a lot more sense.
BIG-LIPPED ALIGATOR MOMENT
Mamoa stole every scene he was in and was having alot of fun. I don't get how that's something for Vin to be upset about.

Dwayne BTFO Diesel KEEPS WINNING
I thought the rock was smaller lol anyways fuckin badass

>rock, despite being over billed, is still 6'2"-3"
