The "movie" version of Hexer is effectively 120 minutes of footage randomly cut from 13 episodes of the series. One of the last TVP production to have this sort of thing, the very last one being Pitbull three years later (97 minutes out of 5 episodes, so it's not THAT bad in terms of condensing plot).
As for Hexer-the-series, it's pretty chill if you know all the background bullshit that went behind the scenes to get it made and how much of a twat Sapkowski was during filming.

It was about two guys that went into cryo sleep for an experiment and woke up as the last men on earth. Parade/ Defilada (1989)

It’s a documentary about North Korea where the Polish narrator recounts the “historic deeds” of Generalissimo Kim Il Sung while reading them off in an extremely sarcastic, degrading manner. It actually took several years for the NK government to realize this guy was making fun of them and they banned the movie.

      %3D

The joke with the movie is that it was made when censorship in Poland already ended, but it was still technically a People's Republic and with cordial terms with North Korea (at least on paper), so the Koreans let the whole crew in and allowed them to work as they pleased.

        Anonymous

Yes, Defilada’s script is entirely speeches about the greatness of Kim Il Sung but told in a sarcastic manner by the narrator so the likely polish second language Korean tour guides didn’t pick up on it. East Europe used to have decent terms with Korea and helped their film industry. The North Korean film “Emissary who didn’t return” was shot in Prague in Bohemia though it is set in the Haague.

Well, it's hard NOT to have good terms, when Uncle Joe sends you few thousands of war orphans to feed and train in various technical vocations and then send back, just so Uncle Kim can throw them all into gulag for being foreign agents

    Run lola run.

That's the only good movie Poland can make.

      That's German.

the only polack movie I remember seeing is Kanal (1957). It’s about a group of polish resistance fighters trying to escape the Nazis by going through the sewers. I watched it for a class which was almost two decades ago. I don’t remember much about it but it was pretty kino.

The only one I've watched is the one where they're in a massive nuclear bunker after a war between NATO and the Warsaw Pact and the radiation is leaking in. The poster is a cool drawing of a skull
