Was the point you were trying to make that Mao Mao IS the most mistreated cartoon or that its mistreatment is common these days?

What? My point is that I didn't use a double negative incorrectly.

Is the "misery poker Mao Mao fans try to play" an easy win for Mao Mao fans or for those who feel said fans are being overdramatic?

Who cares? I'm saying
It's an easy win since not many series don't last more than 1 season anymore.
is true, pretty much everything gets at least two seasons. It's a lot harder to find something that was a good, high quality entertaining show that only got one season than one that didn't. Hell, even a lot of complete trash nobody watched gets a second season.

So you ARE a Mao Mao Chad. You AGREE that it's one of the worst mistreatments of a show in recent memory.

If nobody watched, why did they get 2 seasons?

Who the frick knows. Craig of the Creek has been getting ratings lower than Mao Mao got for a long time, but the network loves it anyway.

Are we talking TV ratings or online ratings? It could be that kids are watching CotC online instead of with TV.

Tv.

Nielsen ratings are becoming less relevant by the day. What media companies care more about now are streaming numbers and online engagement, both of which Craig of the Creek excels at.

Do you have actual evidence of streaming numbers?

I also dont know where the frick online engagement would be either. Ive never seen it trend on Twitter, Mao Mao has multiple times.

You're acting as if Twitter is the only place online engagement happens when there's dozens of websites out there. Something trending on Twitter doesn't mean as much as people think, especially in this scenario.

That still didnt fricking answer my question dumbass. Show me where people are talking about Craig.
I said show me. And how would CN get money from some fan Discord anyway?

Craig of the Creek's online engagement admittedly pales in comparison to what Amphibia and The Owl House experience, but it still gets plenty of praise, especially whenever new episodes premiere. The show gets fan art, people share GIFs, and you even see cosplay. With so much of entertainment being found online these days, social media engagement is becoming more relevant to studio analytics than ever before. Said engagement shows demand for a series, which could incentivize additional season renewals.
And while I don't have exact streaming numbers, I'm sure I've seen CotC trending on HBO Max whenever new episodes drop. It's easily one of the more popular cartoons on there at the moment (likely thanks to it having little competition among current WB Animation and other CN Studios projects).

>show is renewed for s2 >new owner at home/ focus and plans change >season is on hold/cancelled
How the frick is that mistreat?
mao got decent timeslots and specials
Remember the baby focus is also going to be toned down hard don't be surprised if you see s2 later specially bcause Zaslav believes in TV ratings

that did not happen
I think this is just something inherent to shows that appeal to furries. Gumballgays have been b***hing about Gumball not getting a movie despite that show running for longer than it had any right to.
You aren't right though; you had to dip into something not produced by the studios to raise a flawed point. Having more than one season doesn't mean your show was screwed any less; it just sounds like you want to start shit rather than actually like Mao Mao.
We're talking about Network productions and web animations Amy made for fun and which she probably can't legally make more of isn't a network production.
Because you have terrible taste and operate on a >"The only people who don't like Krabby Patties have never tasted one!"
mentality to cope when people disagree?
>"The only people who don't like Krabby Patties have never tasted one!"
You're kind of killing your own argument with this comparison. Krabby Patties have been proven to be a universally beloved delicacy that even Squidward didn't want to admit he enjoyed. I assure you, Mao Mao is a show with something for ANYONE. The fact that it got cancelled so abruptly is very suspicious. Could've easily been one of Cartoon Network's biggest hits.
Mao Mao is overrated by this board. There I said it; it's not a bad show by any means but it definitely benefited from piss poor competition. Had this show been released in the 2000s, it wouldn't have stood out as much and had gotten much acclaim.

One anon recently said something along the lines of WB Discovery not wanting to officially announce Mao Mao is cancelled because it'd make them look bad for having waited so long to spit it out, so they're in too deep and would rather just double down by waiting it out in the hopes that fans will eventually move on.
After 2 years now, I actually think I'm starting to see that happening in real time. Fans are getting more and more hopeless, with some coming to the realization that there probably never was a fully finished Season 2 that made it beyond the animatic stages. Hell, the previous Mao Mao thread died in a matter of 20 replies. Looks like fans are finally coming to the end of their grieving process and will soon accept reality. Give it another year, and any mention of Mao Mao will be a rarity, with threads dying in the blink of an eye.
>Hell, the previous Mao Mao thread died in a matter of 20 replies
Mostly just depends on the time of when the threads posted, this month alone had 2 threads with 200+ replies
Wander over yonder
>Got a second season
Invalid answer.
Well when the 2nd season to this exists but simply hasn't been released, is it really so invalid??
Chances are decent that only a few episodes got finished before CN spit on Mao Mao.
My Life as a Teenage Robot
Making Fiends
Miraculous Ladybug during it's Nick. run
All got more than one season.
Making Fiends only got one season liar
My politically incorrect racial epithet, Making Fiends was canned 6 episodes in. It didn't even get a full run.
I fricking hate the misery poker Mao Mao fans try to play.
It's an easy win since not many series don't last more than 1 season anymore.
Careful with those double negatives, hombre.
It was used correctly amigo.

You can't even legality watch the episodes in the states anymore as warner bros removed all of them from their platform
