>the absolute state of cinema
Sorry that fart huffing movies about butterflies in buckets with a naked french woman pissing in it being a representation of capitalism somehow went out of fashion 20 fricking years ago.
>butterflies in buckets with a naked french woman pissing
I will now watch your kino
The Northman
Sonic 2
Correct
this not even joking, at least this film delivers. Also the batman because it last 3 hours and that makes mad short attention span people.
Thor Love and Thunder
I thought the new Texas Chainsaw was pretty good, even if it was good in a way that israeliteflix absolutely did not intend.
JUJU ON DA BEAT
The Black Phone
Everything Everywhere All At Once.
You may now seethe
this would be my first choice but only because everything else is awful
Elvis
Hellgod: Run
Test
who directed these
kubrick
Killers of the Flower Moon
>trusting scorsese after irishman and silence
it was okay.
not good.
batman
northman

This was the year where movies that had to be filmed during lockdown were released so everything felt kind of off
Even bullet train is an obvious covid movie with a couple people on screen at a time in a few sets.
Blacked: Breaking point
The sextape I made with my cousin
Munich the Edge of War
Does "to be released" count?
Looking forward to Aronofsky and Brendan Fatter in The Whale.
Oh shit, didn't know a new Aronofsky movie was coming out so soon. After reading the synopsis I'm fricking hyped. Sounds like it's gonna be fricking miserable which Aronofsky really excels in. I also loved Mother alot.
Nope
i'll name two:
>Top Gun
>Elvis
Minions: Rise of gru
Nope
The Northman
Everything Everywhere All At Once
Only three films I can think of that I really enjoyed. It's been a pretty weak year overall. I know it's probably a reddit tier opinion to have loved EEAAO so much but honestly it was great.
Other than Nope, I can't think of a single film I'd want to watch again however. Even EEAAO, which was fantastic, is probably not something I'd watch again, or atleast not for awhile.
Probably non. Kino films are dead rip

you gays disgust me
There have been several better films so far this year
name them
Ambulance
The Batman
Moon Shot
The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent
Hustle
thanks for the list anon, I'll check them out
The Batman was actually a meme answer. I liked it but it is capeshit with typical blockbuster misgivings.
The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent is kino for the first 2/3, the last third is kind of generic.
Ambulance is fantastic, Jake absolutely kills it. So entertaining.
Moon Shot is basically a sappy teen romcom with a sci-fi twist. But it's incredibly comfy and avoids a lot of the terrible tropes that plague the genre.
Hustle is like netflix wanted a really safe version of Uncut Gems as a generic sports film. It's pretty good, but it doesn't do much to elevate the genre.
Munich the Edge of War is actually the best film I've seen from this year so far
i figured you were memeing with the batman, but i also thought the same about the unbearable weight of massive talent. if it's actually good i'll watch that too. and thanks for the quick summaries for each of them
Top Gun
Mad god
>thought we were still in the first half of the year because barely anything has caught my attention, kino wise
>its august
>literally 2/3 of the year is gone
just kill me please, the modern world sucks shit
Top Gun was pretty good. The Batman was alright. That’s about it
RRR

Decision to Leave
